"Leo, What happened? You look dead," I say as I open the door from the rain.

"May I come in?" He asks, shivering from the cold. I nod, and he pushes his way in, looking more dead in the light.

"Leo, what happened?" I ask again, looking at my childhood friend.

"Nothing. I just wanted to see you, before..." He trails off, like always.

"Before what?" I ask, looking at him.

"I move, my family wants to move before I turn eighteen. I'm sorry," he says, tilting his head down. 

"Is this why you came though the rain here?" I ask, grabbing his gloved hand to sit him down.

"For the most part, and something else." He pulls off his glove, to show a bandaged wound.

"Leo! What happened?!" I yell, looking at it. I reach for his hand, and grab it with mine. He hisses, and closes his eyes, pulling away.

"Don't touch," he says, standing, and turning away.

"Leo. What happened?" I ask, standing with him.

"Nothing. I'm fine," he says, moving away. I move closer, and place my hands on the back of his neck, the only way for him to talk. He hisses again, and moves as far away as possible. He glares before turning away, blinking rapidly.

"Leo. What happened?" I ask, again. I watch him as he moves slower, each step slow.

"Can you stop looking at me? It hurts," he says, countering each step I take.

"What hurts? Leo, please tell me what's wrong," I beg, no longer looking at him directly.

"I can't, I wish I could, but when I leave. Remember me," he says, moving closer.

"I will," I say, keeping my focus down.

"Keep being this bright," he says, before lifting up my head with two gloves fingers.

"I will," I say, looking at him. He blinks like someone looking in the sun.

"Do you want know?" He asks, "do you wish to know the dark?"

"Will you tell me?" I ask, looking in his eyes.

"Yes," he says, leaning in an kissing me. Muffled screams are heard in my ears, as he continues. I stand for awhile, him long gone, with my eyes closed, thinking is this what he really meant by dark?
