"We're here!" Jinyoung put his bicycle away. They were at the beach.

"Oppa, why are we at the beach?" Haneul asked.

"Did...did you just call me oppa?" He was surprised.

"You asked me to." She raised an eyebrow.

"Ah, right." He smiled.

"So why are we at the beach?" She asked again.

"Because i wanted to come here and show you the waves. You've never seen them, have you?" He ruffled her hair.

"Nope." She stared at the waves. "They're really pretty." She smiled.

"Look, a seashell." He picked a pretty seashell up from the soft sand.

"Uwah!" Haneul admired it happily. "It's really pretty."

"Here you go." Jinyoung put it in Haneul's silky white hands.

"Thanks." She smiled.

The two of them played with the water, splashing them on each other like little kids. Haneul shrieked happily and laughed. Her rare eye-smile showed so often.

When they were tired, they sat on the beach and admired the view.

"Oppa... thank you. For everything." She said softly.

"Welcome." He smiled and patted her head.

The door bell rang and Haneul went to open the door. It was Baro.

"Haneul ah, is your family at home?" Baro asked as soon as the door opened.

"Nope. Why?" She asked innocently.

"Then let's go out!" He smiled.

"Out where?" She asked.

"To the beach!" He said excitedly.

"But it's going to be very hot there." She pouted slightly.

"Please..." He pouted too.

"Why are we going there in the first place?" She asked.

"I have something to show you." Baro replied.

Haneul smiled. "Okay then."

Baro smiled and grabbed Haneul's hand.

"Uwah, the sea is so pretty!" Haneul exclaimed.

"It is, isn't it?" Baro smiled. "Wait for me here." He walked away.

Haneul nodded and looked at the sea drifting in and out to shore.

Baro came with a large box and gave it to Haneul. "Open it." he instructed her.

"What's this?" Haneul looked at Baro.

"Just open it." He smiled.

There seemed to be something moving in the box. Haneul pouted and opened up the box. There was a white west highland terrier puppy inside. Haneul's eyes widened in surprise.

"This..." She was utterly shocked.

"I found it one day so i decided to take it home." He took it out and placed it in Haneul's arms.

She smiled and it's soft, silky fur. "Have you named it yet?"

He shook his head. "I was thinking you could help me."

"Hmm..." she studied the puppy. "It's so white... byeol?" (byeol means star)

"Byeol?" He repeated.

"Because it's as white as a star." She smiled.

"That's nice. Byeol it is." He smiled. "Byeol ah, do you like your name?" He tickled its chin.

"You're so cute. How can anyone bear to abandon you?" Haneul played with Byeol happily.

Baro looked at her fondly and smiled.

Baro took out a collar and put it on Byeol. There was a metal tag in the form of a star which said '별'.

"Listen up, you're going to be there for Haneul in times of need. Understand? You have to listen to all her troubles and not argue with her okay?" He said to Byeol as he it's soft fur.

Byeol nuzzled its snout against Baro's hand which made him smile.

"Good dog." Baro muttered.

"Sorry i'm late!" Sooyoung huffed and puffed as she ran up to Haneul.

"It's okay." Haneul smiled.

"Where's that brat?" Sooyoung asked.

"Hwamin wanted to walk by herself." Haneul replied.

"I hope she gets lost." Sooyoung spat.

"Don't say that, she's my dongsaeng after all." Haneul frowned slightly.

"It's the truth." Sooyoung said and strolled into the school with Haneul trailing behind her.
