Damn the Alarms!

From Dream and Ambition to Reality

Narrator POV

“Omona!” Crystal cried as she ran out of the bathroom, now fully dressed although her makeup only half done.

“Mwoh?!” Suzi and Hana exclaimed getting up from the bed and coming to their unnie’s side.

“We might be separated!” she exclaimed.

“Yeah! Did you not process that last night?” Hana said giving her a ‘duh’ expression.

“Anniyo! Mianhae. But I can’t do this! I’m horrible at socializing with new people by myself! And these are going to be famous people! What the hell am I supposed to do?!” I yelled with partial fear and nervousness. The other two now took time as they ate their rice omelets to calmly speak to their unnerved friend about how to handle things.

Meanwhile, Seunghyun, Jiyoung, and Daesung sat at the table eating breakfast with the others. Though they were withholding conversation about their scheduling for the rest of today and the next month, three of the five’s minds were someplace else half the time. All three were reminiscing on the dreams they had before being rudely awakened by their alarms.

TOP POV

He felt a new excitement in himself towards his new friend Crystal, and his dream solidified it. But he felt she was too young and had decided to try and keep a sibling-like relation with her. It was difficult though. The dream replayed throughout the morning meal.

She walked into the modern mansion where the party was being held at. It was a formal one and she fit the description of one who was rich in beauty. Her black rose patterned, equally black dress came just above the knee and was somewhat thick in fabric. The dress was sleeveless with a square neckline and fitted perfectly to her curves. The girl’s calm red hair was curled at the ends and the left side of it was clipped back with a silver butterfly. It contrasted in a professional way to her attire, complete with two inch, black, open toed, strapped heals. “Crystal-ah,” I began with a bright smile as I approached her. “You look absolutely amazing. I’m actually glad you don’t look like this every day. I’d get jealous of the others beaming over you all the time,” I chuckled as she expressed her thanks and laughed. I led her to the balcony where some couples were dancing and I took her in my arms. I had made sure to not wear any in-soles that I use at times to make me taller. Her hand fit gently into mine as I held her close with my opposite arm. “Komawo,” she said a bit shyly. I smiled and looked down at her, stopping shortly as I replied, “Anniyo, I should be thanking you.” With this I leaned down and- .

“Jinja?” I said sleepily and with a blunt and angry tone as I had practically smashed the alarm with my hand.

Jiyoung POV

“I wonder if I can ever really take that crazy girl to a club,” I thought to myself with a small laugh. The dream I just woke up from was making me impatient. I never got to finish it before the alarm went off, but that just gave me more of a drive to complete it in real life. I remember it still.

I walked into the club with her hooked onto my arm. She wore a sleeveless form hugging dress that came to her mid-thigh. It was a mix of bright red, blue, green, yellow, gold, white, and silver with a heart shaped neck-line that was outlined in an inch of black sequins. Suzi’s shoes were neon green and pink sparkled sneakers that had about a one and a half inch heel to them. Her hair was braided on the sides and went back into a high messy bun. “Your club fashion is tight shawty,” I said playfully in English, making her laugh brightly.

“Thanks G,” she replied with a swag in her tone, making me return the laugh. We went to the bar and sat down. Her make-up and clothes made her look like she was already my age, making the bartender ask what she’d like to have. Suzi politely declined while I ordered. I can’t quite remember what it was but the dream soon flashed to where we were in the middle of the dance floor. A mix of Se7en’s Digital Bounce and Rollercoaster surrounded our bodies. I could see how she was a back up dancer for Shakira’s performances as she moved her hips before me in sharp motions. It seemed like the dream created some force inside itself and pulled our bodies together. Our bodies were against each other and kept in perfect sync along with the beat. I placed my hands around her waist, the soft and light fabric moving without her, feeling her movements against my palms. Soon the music switched up to another song and she turned around. “Suzi-ah,” I mumbled as we continued to sway with our figures pieced together like the ocean and the sand. Her long feminine fingers trailed up and around my neck, sending a shiver down my spine that I’m sure could be felt in reality as I slept. Her eyes were shut peacefully, as if she was letting the music take her over. Her full lips were hypnotizing and again the force began to push me closer. –Until that damned alarm!

I sighed and took my plate to the sink. I was going to have to forget about it if I was going to be able to concentrate and keep the group in the same focus today.

Daesung POV

All of the guys except Taeyang and Seungri seemed to be in the same daze at breakfast. I pushed the dream I had that night out of my head now. I needed to focus. It’s not like we’d never see them again. The dream was nice though. I couldn’t help but smile. I was walking through hoards of children and their parents as I had my arm around Hana’s shoulders. It was a perfect day with some clouds, a cool and soft breeze, and the sun’s rays laid in a soft shine above our heads. I remember her and I just felt like walking around, not doing much. But there was something on a shelf that caught my eye. I was a giant stuffed animal. A white bear holding a red heart to be exact. I took her hand and quickly led her to the arcade stand. I played the first round and lost, but I didn’t want to give up. I went the second round and knocked down all six moving target bottles. “Turn around. I have a surprise for you,” I said as she jumped a bit with excitement when she turned to face the sea of people. I pointed up to the large stuffed bear and the man gave it to me with a knowing smile. “Ok, you can turn around now,” I said cheekily. The girl in a blue and white fitted tee and blue jean shorts turned to face me, her face lighting up immediately. “Omo! Komawo!” Hana exclaimed and reached for the bear. I didn’t let her pull it away though. I was a bit shy about doing this, but there was a strange force in the dream that gave me all the confidence I needed. “I need something first though,” I said teasingly as she pouted cutely. “Like what exactly?” Hana asked, now curious, still holding onto the bear. Using the bear for leverage, I pulled her closer and gently leaned down. Her lips felt like a soft and smooth cloud, and her hair was silky to the touch as my hand ran up her neck to rest underneath it’s long blonde and brown texture. My dream was pretty short, but it was good while it lasted. I hadn’t had one of those in a while. And the fact that it was with a girl who actually liked the real me was even better. I knew this for sure, because although the others didn’t know it, we had exchanged numbers and were talking until the early morning after we dropped them off. “I have to admit, those Teen Top boys would probably be better suited for her though,” I thought. I might be a bit old for her. Either way, I returned to the reminiscing of my dream. According to Seunghyun and Jiyoung, they never got to finish theirs. But I did! Haha. Unfortunately I feel pretty worn out now. Hopefully work won’t be too hectic and rough today.

Narrator POV

The three girls made it to T.O.P Media’s sections, on the second floor of the Seoul building. They shared their dreams as they were dropped off at the front doors and awaited the elevator to open up. After it did so, each of them made it into the usual dance studio but found no one there, and so decided to wait. “Do I have to pay you the bet money?” Crystal asked Suzi with a not-so-thrilled look on her face.

“No,” the younger replied as she sat down next to her bag on the floor. “You can keep it. It was just a fun little bet. You keep the money and I’ll keep the fact that I was right,” she said with a smart grin.
Crystal pretended to hit her and after a small laugh she sat down next to her against the wall opposite the largest mirror.

“How the hell do we all fit in here anyways? Isn’t there a bigger room?” Hana asked as she looked around at the white walls.

“Probably, but I guess they’re being taken up,” Suzi responded with a shrug.

Crystal turned to speak to Hana who now sat on her left. “Since the Supa Luv promotions are done, what are we going to do? I don’t think they’d let us in on any of their new stuff for another comeback or anything.”

The youngest shrugged and leaned her head forward to see Suzi sleeping with her head on her black purse. Hana gave a quite cynical chuckle and pulled a bag of marshmallows from her camouflaged purse.

“We barely ate a good breakfast. Eomma’s gonna kill you,” Crystal warned as she eyed the back of fluffy white treats Hana had just opened.

“In her sleep?” the maknae asked with raised eyebrows and a ‘yeah-right’ tone.

The eldest looked over to see the peaceful yet dead-like girl on her right. “Touche,” Crys replied and took two of the medium sugar filled cylinders out of the bag.

About 10 minutes had past and a few of the boys finally entered.

“Marshmallows!” Changjo cried at seeing the food and oblivious to the two girls that had put a finger to their lips.

“Uh-oh,” Crys said seeing Suzi’s body move slowly in a stretch.

“Run!” Hana squeaked, running past L.Joe who quickly followed, not really knowing what was happening, and grabbed Ricky who was on his way to the room they just ran from.

Crystal dropped the bag in Changjo’s hands and ran outside of the door and down the hallway where Hana, L. Joe, and Ricky were laughing in a group. “It’s alive,” Crys said in a creepy tone and turned to watch down the hall with the others.

“An-nyeong,” Suzi said a bit sleepily as she stood and rubbed her face to clear her vision.

“Marshmallows,” the true maknae said with a smile and half of one in his mouth.

Suzi laughed a bit. “Where did you get those?”

“Crystal-noona gave them to me and she and Hana and L. Joe just ran out,” he replied before popping the other half of the treat into his mouth. “Oh, and sorry noona. I think I woke you up,” he added quietly.

“It’s alright,” Suzi replied with a soft smile, but it soon faded as she walked past the brunette and peeked around the corner of the door, once to the left; no one; and then to the right. “Yah!” she yelled, her voice booming down the hall.

The four had the fear of God in their eyes as they scrambled around each other, one trying to hide behind the other. Suzi was just about to lightly bonk Hana and Crys on their heads as they were held by the arms in front of L. Joe and Ricky. But someone caught her hand. “Oh! Annyeong Niel oppa!” She said turning her head around with a smile, completely fading out of Eomma Mode.

The other four sighed in relief. But Suzi looked back and stuck her tongue out, warning the girls that they weren’t going to get a huge dessert that she had planned to make.

Changjo came up beside Niel and took Suzi’s other hand and held it up by her wrist, mimicking the grasp Niel still had on her.

Crystal POV

Suzi was confused and looked back to see Changjo. “Uh...Ok?” she said and laughed. “I feel kind of stupid right now.”

“Your foot is stupid,” I replied as the others and myself laughed a bit at the out of the blue comment.
What? I didn’t want to say ‘your mom’ or ‘your face’. It was too old, and nearly cliche.

“I think it’s a cool foot,” CAP said from behind Suzi, Chunji right behind him.

“Ha! Take that unnie. Mr. Charisma Rapper thinks it’s cool,” Suzi replied with a smile that had ‘you just lost the game’ all over it.

“Aish, you guys. Come on. We have to go and practice some random choreography for a few hours. Then we can talk,” he said with a somewhat flustered sigh. The others nodded and we followed the boys to the small room again. Hana, Suzi, and I sat down against the wall again and watched the choreographer go through a variety of dance styles. We picked up some new information on how to make popping, sashaying, jetes, and floor glides much simpler while still looking flawless and powerful.

“Marshmallow! Marshmallow!” came IU’s cute vocals from Hana’s phone as it vibrated in her pocket.
She bowed in appologies for disrupting the choreographer before leaving the room.

Hana’s POV

“Yeoboseyo,” I answered with a smile. Daesung’s name had come up on the caller ID.

“Yeoboseyo,” he replied. I couldn’t help but bounce a bit on the balls of my feet as he continued. “Big Bang is having a lunch break across the street from T.O.P Media building. So we were wondering if you three would like to join us.”

“Heck yeah,” I replied before asking, “Right now?”

“Ne. Is that okay?”

“Ne! We’ll be down soon.”

“Okay! Jal!” he said, and we hung up.

I went back in and realized the boys were on a water break and my unnies had moved to talk with them.

“Unnies!” I said happily as I stood between the two of them that sat in a cirlce with the others.

“Ne?” Suzi replied with curiosity.

“Mwoh?” Crys responded, probably fearing I had an evil plan. Not that I blame her. Sometimes my mind wanders. Hehe.

“Dae- er- Big Bang oppas invited us for lunch at a vendor thingy across from here and I said we’d go.
Which would be now,” I added.

“Oh, alright. I guess we’ll come back later,” Suzi said as she and the red head stood up.

“Awww,” Ricky pouted. “Wae? Must you go now?”

We nodded as Suzi walked around and hugged him from behind around his shoulders. “It’s okay aegyo oppa! We’ll be back,” she said making Ricky squirm a bit with joy.

“Yay!” he exclaimed and the others laughed at his cute actions.

“Jal-ga!” we said and bowed still at 90 degrees. We still held them in high respect even if they weren’t that much older.

“Bye-umm!” came L. Joe’s voice, being louder than the other goodbyes.

We closed the door and bowed to the choreographer as we walked down the hall.

“Since when did you and Daesung have each other’s numbers?” Crystal asked looking at me.

“Uh, since last night?” I said awkwardly. I probably should have mentioned that, but I was too tired.

Suzi laughed. “Nice one Hana-ssi. It’s ok. I guess I should mention me and unnie got numbers from Teen Top.”

I stuck my tongue out at them playfully as we exited the building and made our way across the street to see a group of five guys at a walk-by corner food seller.

“Oppas!” Crystal called out before retreating behind Suzi and me. I walked up to Daesung and Seungri, hugging them both. Suzi of course went to hang at Jiyoung and Taeyang’s side, while Crystal shyly stood in the middle of everyone with Seunghyun. Both of them looked liked they had some sort of awkward secret. I know Crys did, but could it be that the tallest rapper of BigBang had a certain dream last night too? “Really, Hana? What are the chances of that?” I asked myself. “But still...” I added in thought.
Daesung looked comfy enough in a white tee, grey windbreaker, black jeans, and high tops. GD wore a hot pink beanie hat that had large, white, anime eyes on the front, black jeans, and a white tee underneath a zipped up blue-ish grey jacket. Suzi was admiring his hat and shoes while Crys complemented Seungri on his white and black, edgy patterned jacket. Seunghyun was in a hoody and sweatpants like the rest of us, and Taeyang had a warm looking grey hoody with a black frayed jean vest over it. Never would have thought of that combo, but it looked cool and casual. We all ordered for ourselves and walked back across the
street to sit inside the lobby of the building we just came from. For a while we sat there and ate our rice, noodles, chicken, and/or fish, and sipped our water.

CAP’s POV

We all showered and dried off before taking the elevators down to the main floor. Chunji suggested we start saving money and so instead of buying lunch, we packed our own. Seemed like a good idea to me, but I didn’t care, nor found it polite, to eat in the dance studios. So instead Ricky, L. Joe, and myself took the girls’ duffel bags downstairs with us where we’d eat in the lobby. But the corner in the back seemed to be taken up already.

All of us approached the group with a bow and smiles. “May we join you?” Niel asked.

“Ne, of course,” Taeyang replied, scooting over so Niel could sit down on the couch next to him.

We all found our spaces amongst the others and began to eat.

“Hyungs, you look really tired. Long night?”Ricky asked. TOP, Daesung, and GD nodded with some enthusiasm while the other two sighed and voiced their agreements in a groggy tone.

“Thankfully it’s just vocals today,” TOP said with relief.

“Speaking of vocals, did you read the lyrics?” GDragon asked turning to Suzi. She stared at him for a moment, looking confused.

“Oh! Those,” she said, remembering. “Anniyo. Not yet. I haven’t got around to it. You really think they’d fit my voice?” she asked. I tilted my head a bit in curiosity as did some of the others. What were they talking about?

“Ne. Trust me. I know what I’m doing. Maybe L. Joe, here could help compose a beat or two, huh?” he said with a grin as he looked to the faded pink haired member.

“Uh..sure. I guess so,” my fellow rapper replied with a small laugh. I guess he didn’t know what was going on either.

“I helped a bit too,” Taeyang began. “The words should help all three of your voices show through a bit more.”

“What are we talking about?” Changjo asked bluntly. “Are they in training with YG?”

“Anniyo,” Daesung said from my left. “It’s just something for the fun of it.”

There was a silence as we all stared at the three girls who glanced around from each of us awkwardly.

“Unless...unless you want to...” Seungri said breaking the silence.

“Anni-anni-anniyo,” Hana spoke up and then laughed a bit. “While the experience would be fun, what
I’m doing right now is about as far as I want to go into the famous business.”
I swear I thought I saw Suzi and Crystal’s eyes light up, but then they dropped a bit and nodded in agreement.

“Well then,” Seunghyun said and then laughed a bit after another awkward silence. “We better head back. Jal-ga,” he said and the others of BigBang repeated the same as they stood up and left, dumping their trash as they left.
