Sweetheart, unfortunately, reality hurts.
But that doesn’t mean you still can’t soar. The fine line between reality and dreams is incredibly blurry so if you haven’t read all the past conversations with people who are equally crushed and confused, then I suggest you do so now because they’re very helpful. Life is not a synonym for achievement but you count yourself lucky that you have passions that you have and want to follow. Some of us don’t have anything to be excited about so just on that, be positive and happy about yourself. It really depends on how well your dreams translate into society and practice. My heart lies with dance which is one of the more frowned upon professions in society today. Commended passions are things like: mathematics, literature, philosophy or science. If your dream is realistic, start refining your skills and now and building the right foundations! But if your dream lies in the arts area, it’s a lot harder for people to accept. I can only suggest that you make a compromise, meet halfway or something. Education is important so get that down first, think of the consequences and whatnot. In the end, it is your life and if you prepared to deal with the responsibility of your actions, then go for it. No one can stop you. Besides, as long as you work and passionately, you will eventually get somewhere. As for being positive, it’s something that doesn’t come in one day. You’ve already read a motivational book which is great. Positivity isn’t only a mindset, it’s a life-style. Take it step by step, smile at something you don’t find beautiful or do something out of your own comfort zone to challenge yourself. Most of all, don’t let your negative thoughts overwhelm your mind. Calm down, take a deep breath and ask yourself if what you’re thinking is a little bit of an overreaction. Oppa wishes you luck! -Love, Kai (KIm Jongin) ♥
(Author Ramblings: personally, I’m a more head person than a heart person and despite my ridiculous spontaneity sometimes, I consider my life options with sincerity and caution. I’ve almost given up my biggest dream but I’m clinging on to it until I’m given a definite answer. Unless I’m told that I can’t do it (it’s a super unrealistic dream if you haven’t realised by now) then I won’t give up because even if that chance is tiny, a chance is a possibility I might succeed. I can only make compromises until I finish studying so I do feel your pain and I wish you the best. Life is unpredictable, you can’t just plan it out like a straight line so who knows where you might end up? Using your heart is important too, so maybe go in between? Good luck :D) |
