Jessica slapped Junho when he nearly tripped over a wire that they had set up earlier. The nervousness was getting to them as they continued to their preparations, ready for the Boss to come as planned. Junho had successfully tapped into the airport’s mainstream, delaying the Mafia leader’s flight for about three hours as well as organizing someone from their side to receive him when he comes to stall some time for them.

“Why do I feel so nervous?” Yoona chuckled, rubbing her chest.

“Probably cause there’s a chance we might die.”

“Yah!”

“What, it’s true.”

Tiffany remained quiet, seriously working at her assignment. Who wasn’t nervous? For all they know, it might be a trap, forcing them to participate in this giant brawl with ET. And if the boss manages to get away with seeing their faces, they’re dead without a single doubt. She bit her lip, impatiently adjusting her weapons strap around her waist.

“Why does everyone jinx up like this?” Junho complained. “Stop it. We’re going to live. Just keep them in your head. If you keep on going like this, then you’re already dead before it even starts.”

“He’s right.” Tiffany stood up, cracking her back. “You shouldn’t think so negatively. Think about Taecyeon and Jay who’s waiting back there you two.” She added, making the two girls blush.

“Then what about Wooyoung? I heard you two kissed before you left yesterday.” Junho teased, making everybody’s attention perk up in surprise.

“Yah.” She scowled, kicking his shin. “That was only on the cheek, you jerk.”

Jessica laughed at them but spotted something that immediately caught his attention. “What are they doing? Recently, they’ve been awfully suspicious, don’t you think?” She jerked her head over to one of the members of A-JAX  who looked like he was doing something strange.

“They’ve always been weird. I don’t get why those three idiots even trusted them to fight with us.”

“Well they don’t trust them fully that’s for sure. They’re not in the meeting they hold.” Yoona pointed out, glaring at the boys. “They’re part of ET too. You don’t think they’re going to turn against us? They don’t seem trustworthy.”

Junho frowned, thinking hard. “Didn’t you turn one of them down, Jessica?”

“Hm? Ah. It was that guy who’s the leader. Kim Hyeongkon.” Jessica snapped her fingers, suddenly remembering. “Ah, egoistic maniac.” She sneered, sending him glares out of the corner of her eyes.

“No way. He courted me.” Yoona spoke up, with wide eyes. Tiffany raised up her hand, mentioning that he did something similar to her in the past as well.

“Ah so he was not only an egoistic maniac but a chivalrous male pig as well.”

Everyone laughed at Junho’s small comment which was surprising considering the life or death situation they would be in several hours. Jessica adjusted her weapons belt and tied her hair in a high pony tail.

“Look.” Tiffany pointed in Junho’s direction but it seemed she was pointing beyond him. The other three turned to see a relaxed Hyoyeon making her way over.

“Hey guys.” She patted the girls on the shoulder. “I just need to borrow him for a second if you could be oh so kind.” She reached out and tugged on Junho’s collar a bit teasingly.

While Junho had a dumbfounded reaction, the three girls exchanged sly looks, giggling a bit.

“Sure he’s all yours.”

“Great. I won’t keep him for long then.”

“Wait. Don’t I get a say in this?”

“Nope.” Yoona gave him a greasy wink. “Have fun.” She mouthed and he rolled his eyes in response.

The three watched with proud smiles as Hyoyeon led Junho to somewhere private.

“They just grow up so fast.”

"So... What's up?"

"Well nothing except the fact that we may die in the two hours or so." Hyoyeon teasingly grinned, tilting her head slightly to the side with a smug closed smile.

Junho rolled his eyes but couldn't help but to also beam as well with his eyes never leaving the girl. "Well obviously. If you haven't noticed I'm breaking out in cold sweats. Seriously Hyo, what's the matter?" His tone softened, showing genuine concern for the girl.

At his remark, Hyoyeon directed her face to the ground, softly kicking away the dust on the dirty and bare ground. "Nothing. I just needed somebody to talk to... And I don't know why but... I just felt that you were the one I could just let it all out."

"You scared?"

"Out of my wits." She softly chuckled with that same bitter smile. "Whether we win or not, I just hope we manage to show that bastard who he should be afraid of. That and the Italy mafia guy will teach him a lesson for missing their appointment."

"Well yeah that sounds nice. Karma is a after all."

Hyoyeon's gaze softened as she looked up. "Junho..." She carefully took his one of his hand in hers, grasping it firmly. "I want you to know how sorry I am for all of this."

"Sorry? Hyo, why in the world would you be sorry?"

"For dragging you into this mess. I was the one who convinced Tiffany to come, knowing the three of you would join as well. But now I'm not too sure if I did the right thing honestly. Seeing how much they love their partners, I feel... I don't know? Guilty?"

After hearing her confession, Junho couldn't help but to squeeze her hand in reassurance. "It's not your fault. None of this is and you know that. Even if you never accidentally met Fany by chance, the four of us would've found another way to go against ET. But I think it was the best choice we've ever made when we joined JYJ." He remarked, smiling sadly. "We had felt the same way you did when you left. Tired and frustrated. Tired of being hustled around like a rag doll and frustrated that we had to target innocent people who had to pay for others' stupid mistakes. It's not your fault.... And it never will be."

Touched at his speech, Hyoyeon gazed at the ground, sniffing a bit. "Thank you Junho. It really means a lot to me when you said that. I don't know but I guess I'm just nervous." She started to rock back and forth on her heels. "We're in a real life or death situation where we don't really know the outcome unlike our previous missions. I guess the anxiety is getting to me."

"Oh my gosh. Kim Hyoyeon, are those tears I see?" He amusedly said, pointing at her now moist eyes.

She had turned a light pink, swatting away his pointed finger before wiping the liquid away with the back of her hand. "Shut up. I'm in an emotional state right now ok?"

Junho smiled warmly, telling her that he had her back. This made her return the grin with a hint of nostalgia.
