Chapter thirty-six:

Yoseob’s POV:

I looked at the clock.

Four forty-five. Fifteen more minutes.

I had spent the whole day rehearsing what I was going to say to her. Heck, I even prepared a speech. I was freaking ready.

Yes. I was ready to confess to Park Eunmi.

That night, after Doojoon gave me a pep talk, I had made up my mind. Made up my mind to take Doojoon’s advice, to move on to someone new

And that someone else was Eunmi.

I made a stupid mistake with Inyeong almost three years ago, and I regretted it like hell.

I wasn’t going to make another mistake which I would regret years to come

I was going to change my fate. I was going to confess to Park Eunmi before I lost her, like how I lost Inyeong

This time, I was going to do it right

What if she rejects you? A small part of my brain worried. What if things become awkward, like in those dramas?

But hey, at least I would have tried.

I’d rather get rejected than regret for the rest of my life.

Four fifty.

Definitely time to leave.

I couldn’t leave her waiting.

Come on Yang Yoseob. I squeezed my eyes shut and inhaled a huge gulp of air, soothing my frazzled nerves. You can do it. You can do it. YOU CAN DO IT!

I smiled. Yes, I could do it, and I was going to.

Nothing could stop me.

Absolutely nothing

I opened the door, and came face to face with…

Your POV:

I looked at my watch for the tenth time.

It was almost 6pm already.

I took a look around the park. There weren’t many people around, only a few children playing in the playground and a few couples taking a stroll in the park. Definitely no sign of Yoseob anywhere

Where is he? Didn’t he say 5pm?

Maybe he got caught up with the traffic or something. I reassured myself. But honestly, it was pretty feeble, considering how clear the roads were.

What if something happened? Another part of me fretted. What if…he fainted on his way here? What if he got kidnapped?!? WHAT IF HE GOT INTO AN ACCIDENT?!?

I tried calling him numerous times, but he never picked up. His phone wasn’t even dead. It just kept ringing and ringing, but no one answered.

Or maybe…Another part of my brain reminded me blunty. Maybe he had better things to do. Maybe he forgot. Maybe he stood you up.

I sighed and took a look around again.

I waited, and waited and waited somemore

People began to leave the park. The sky begin to darken.

But he never came.

SO, WHAT HAPPENED?

[Turns time back to 5:30PM]

Woohyun’s POV:

I whipped out my phone.

I wasn’t going to do this, but Yang Yoseob left me with no choice.

Yes. I was going to do it.

I swore this would be my last resort, I really did.

But looks like desperate times called for desperate measures.

“What?” A bitter voice snapped as she picked up the phone. I fought the urge to roll my eyes.

“Inseo, it’s Woohyun.” I said as nicely as possible.

“What do you want?”

“Listen, I need a favour from you”

“Shoot”

“I need you to pose as someone for a few months. Just for a few months only.”

“What’s in it for me?”

“Did I mention you’ll be posing as Yoseob’s lover?” I finally dropped the bomb.

“Yoseob? Who’s Yoseob?”

“Yang Yoseob”

Silence.

“You don’t mean…” Suddenly, that arrogant voice softened and wavered. “Yang…Yang Yoseob from…BEAST, do you?”

“That’s him” I said dryly.

“And you want me to…to pretend to be his…girlfriend?”

“That’s right.”

“But HOW? I’ll be discovered immediately!”

“No you won’t.”

“Because Yang Yoseob’s lover happens to be your twin sister”

That’s right.

You didn’t hear wrongly.

Kim Inyeong had a twin sister, and her name was Kim Inseo.

I did some research and background checks on Inyeong, and I realized that although she had no parents, she had an older sister.

And older TWIN, specifically

But due to her amnesia, she probably didn’t know that.

How convenient.

“OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD. OH MY GOD.” Inseo shrieked over the phone. “YANG YOSEOB. YANG YOSEOB. YANG YOSEOB!!!!!”

I winced, rolling my eyes. God knows how this girl was related to my Inyeong.

“I’ll do it! I’LL DO IT!”

“Excellent. Your job starts now. Hurry down to BEAST’s dormitory and catch Yoseob before he leaves to meet up with your sister. You have about 10 minutes to get there.”

“Araso.”

The line went dead.

I closed my eyes, and took a deep breath.

There. That wasn’t so hard, was it?

I’m sorry, Yoseob…

Just to clarify, Yoseob didn't meet Eunmi because Inseo (who he thinks is Inyeong because they look alike) went to find him. He got so shocked he forgot about his meeting with Eunmi :/
