“Sehun’s not coming?” asked Prince Kai.

“No” Tao said instantly.

Kris and them laughed.

“Whats going on?” asked the nurse.

“I don’t know…Sehun…is being weird…” said Tao.

“Hahaha…Kai…Sehun wants a bromance with Tao…” blurted out Kris.

“Kris!!!”

“Sorry I couldn’t help it…”

“Wait what?” said Kai.

“Yeah…it’s not like that. You know what bromance is? We read online that in the human world, that guys who are straight but are very caring towards other guys because you know…they genuinely care for the person like a brother…so girls call it a bromance…”

“Ahhh!” said Tao after realizing what Sehun meant.

“Hahahahha we figured you didn’t know what ‘bromance’ meant” Xiu min said.

“So Sehun is saying he wants to deepen your friendship Tao” said Kris.

“Then why you were laughing like a maniac before…”

“’Cuz he was straight forward in the most awkward way possible! I love that kid” said Kris.

“You guys are so silly…” said the nurse as she opened the door to the medical library.

“But you can’t blame him though. No one’s really close to Tao besides Kris and Lay…so who wouldn’t want to deepen the friendship…” said Chanyeol while entering the library behind Kai and the nurse. Tao looked around in silence. {I guess…I am a bit…introverted…unless I’m around Kris or Lay…hmm maybe I should open up…nahh…I’m too afraid…plus mission first…brothers last…}

“Ah! The smell of books” said Suho.

“Yeah…makes me want to sleep” said D.O

Chanyeol nudged D.O and gave him the evil eye.

“I mean…of course I won’t fall asleep…I’m gonna look for the cure…”

Kris slightly smiled. He knows that D.O hates libraries and doesn’t like to read. {It’s okay guys…I’m not mad.}

“Okay…you guys…look in this area…these are books about known and less known documented viruses we’ve seen…” said the nurse.

“Okay…let’s do this…” said Chanyeol as they went to take books.

“Alright lets break up in teams” said the nurse.

 Xiu Min and Tao started off at the far end with the A section. Chanyeol and Suho went to the middle area where F through L. The nurse and Kai went to the end section, while Kris wondered around to see if anything caught his eye. While skimming through the books, he suddenly stopped in front of this old grey dusty book. He picked it up and dusted it off. He wondered who wrote this book since the book had no title nor was it numbered.

He looked inside of it and he saw it on the third page. The author name was hand written in a dark red ink that was faded due to the poor condition it was kept in. The name written in the book was no other than his mother, Min ae also known as Medusala. He instantly closed the book and looked around to see if anyone was looking. Fortunately, no one was looking so he took the book and sat down far away from everyone. He actually remembered this book from when he was little. She used to sit down near the fire place and write in it every day. {Wait…she was near fire…does that mean…she…was testing…the virus…in the house…before Lay was born…Wait…did she inject it into herself before Lay was born…she…she…was she trying to kill Lay?} Kris sat there motionless. {Can…I read this?...I think…I need Kai…} Kris looked up from the book and Prince Kai was in his face. {Speak of the devil…} Kris immediately closed the book.

“What’s wrong? You’re pale…” asked Kai.

“Its…it’s the book…”

“Yeah you got a really dusty one…but I know you aren’t allergic to dust…your brother is…So what’s really up?”

“Kai…I remember this book…”

“Well your father did write some of these books…maybe…”

“No kai…” he said while making sure no one else was watching them.

“…Did…your mom write this?”

“BINGO. She was writing this journal before Lay was born and before Tao came into the house…she would sit by the fire place and write…”

“Wait…do you think this is the book we are looking for…”

“I think so…”

“Let’s read it together…I will tell the others about this later. I know you are struggling right now…and you are still willing to fight with us…I’m grateful”

“I hope I can continue to do so…”

“What do you mean?”

Kris sat in silence.

“I told you didn’t I? No matter what happens you are my left hand man…even if..my mother dies…it’s not your fault…why don’t you believe me?”

“It’s just…words…are prettier before a traumatic event happens…after that…words means nothing…even the words ‘I’m Sorry’ won’t mean anything…”

“Kris…You are like a brother to me. All of you are. I would do anything to keep you guys by my side even if it means standing up to my father. I promise you Kris. Believe in me and don’t worry about Chen. Even though he’s more sensitive than me, he thinks the same…Now let’s read this book…”

Kris silently shed tears. {Kai…Thank you…}. He opened the book again. There was a lot of blurred words but they still attempt to read it.

The first page, which is the introduction page, states:

If you are reading this then my final test on the virus: Necrosis X was successful and I am currently dead or I’ve become immune to the virus and you are looking for answers. Necrosis X is a virus I made in order to help eliminate the evils of this world. This world is filthy and everything and everyone needs to be cleansed. Since no one understands me, I guess I will just have to prove my theory. People are rotten to the core except my son Kris and his friend Kai. Ah! And that Chanyeol boy. They came from pure mothers; surely, they won’t die from this virus even though the other one is a fool.

When time of danger approaches, the first people thrown away are the elderly, the women, and the children. The pure children…poor children. Just thinking about the evils people do with and to children…it disgusts me. I currently have a 3 year old boy, who’s as pure as the sun, my beloved Kris. I will cleanse this world for him. His friend, Kai, is special as well. He must live with my son in order to not make him lonely. So this virus won’t affect him nor Kris or Chanyeol. Poor Chanyeol…born in blasphemy…like the others…but his suffering…these lies that they create…will forever be remembered in my heart. I see them laugh and play with each other…yet they don’t know…the pain that’s truly deep in their hearts. No one does except me. I can see it. I will purify the evil world and make them pay for their corruption of these beautiful kids. Too bad I won’t be alive to see them grow up.
