Triple update part 2

The atmosphere of the campus has changed. Again. As I described previously, the light came in and cut in half the dark and gloomy atmosphere two semesters ago. Now, that light which cut it has been divided in half, though.

Why?

Apparently, the number of emo boys doubled and surprisingly, almost half of the female student population are now adopting the Gothic lifestyle too.

I wonder what's going on... Did Jessica's previous relationship with Hyoyeon-noona got revealed to the world that other girls on the campus went gay for her too?

Anyway, the whole month of January and the first week of February passed so quickly. Throughout the whole period, it was only me, Taeyeon-hyung and Tiffany-noona who are hanging out together.

I think Tiffany-noona had decided to finally give Sooyoung a chance. Can't blame her, though. Previously, she tried to get back to Yuri-hyung, thrice, but the latter still insisted she should give Sooyoung a chance. His explanation? It will be unfair if he's just going to hog all the chances. Doesn't make sense, right? So, I would really understand Fany-noona that she only agreed to what Yuri-hyung wanted. It's probably to prove him wrong or something. Nonetheless, she looked depressed as time goes by. She really does miss Yuri-hyung a lot. She even talks to this 'Imaginary Yuri' nowadays.

Anyway, roll call. Taeyeon-hyung and I? Just samesies and nothing new. Hyoyeon-noona is nowhere to be found. Sooyoung is as usual, on his own. He did invite us for his late birthday celebration tomorrow at their private beach resort, though. Jessica is always hiding in the shadows, nothing new. Lastly, Yuri-hyung has been avoiding us. It was only last week Taeyeon-hyung and I get to finally have a chat with him but it was only brief. After that, he just vanished to thin air. No kidding. I haven't seen his shadow throughout this week.

Whoa. Speaking.

I saw Yuri-hyung at the gate of the campus. And guess what? Hyung is actually in an extreme Goth look appearance!

He's sporting this ultra-raven colored hair which is spiky on the back with one-sided bangs. He's also wearing a semi-fitted shirt with a skull logo on the front, dark-red pants, and a large headphone hugging his neck. 

I then noticed Tiffany-noona and Taeyeon-hyung inside the main hall. "Fany-noona! Tae-hyung!" I called. They both went to me. "You're not gonna believe what I saw."

"What?" they both asked. I then pointed at Yuri-hyung who is about to head where we are. I happened to look at Fany-noona and she's now blushing so madly.

As Yuri-hyung finally got near, he greeted me and hyung, "A mournful day, guys..." He then looked at Tiffany-noona, "And to you too, Miss Lee."

We were speechless. We couldn't even respond a greeting to him.

"I have to go now, guys. Goodbye. Goodbye, Miss. Lee." he bid. Then left for the main hall.

"What. The. Hell. Was. That?" Taeyeon-hyung asked.

"I. Don't. Even. Know." I said.

Tiffany-noona then mumbled dreamily, "Ahhh~ Yuri-ah. So handsome~"

Tae-hyung nudged her shoulder to snap out, "Yah, Tiffany! Stop day-dreaming."

I then uttered, "What is he sporting now? Is he and Jessica--"

Jessica happened to approach Yuri-hyung and they...

Kissed.

What the actual ? They're dating each other now?!

Tiffany-noona started to tear up due to the sight. I couldn't help myself but be consumed by rage, though. And before it completely consumes me, I bid, "Guys, I have to go."

Taeyeon-hyung pulled me back before I could, "Yoong, wait. Don't get mad at him again."

I chuckled bitterly, "Why would I be? He always gets the girls. I'm already used to that."

I am by the riverside. I sat on the grass as I stared at the still water in front of me. It is already late afternoon. I guess I've stayed at this place for more than three hours already.

"Yoong." Someone called. I turned my head to the direction of the voice. It was Hyoyeon-noona.

"Noona. Hi."

She smiled at me then went near. "How are you doing?"

"I'm..." I looked back at the water. "I'm okay."

She chuckled then sat beside me, "That doesn't sound okay to me."

"How are you?"

"I'm not okay too."

I looked at her. "Why? What's going on with you lately?"

"Well... I don't want to give many details on it but the bottom line is, I'm stuck between loyalty and friendship."

"Err--- okay???"

She laughed, "I know it's cryptic. But, I guess that's just how to sum it really all up. What about you? Why are you sulking here?"

"Well... You always know my number one dilemma in life."

"Love life?"

"Just life. No love."

"Whoa. That's heavy."

"Why are you here too?"

"Oh. I was just walking around then I saw you here."

"I see..."

"I heard. The news erupted like lightning fast."

"What?"

"I couldn't believe Yuri and Jessica will date for real."

"What's not believable on that? Jessica's pretty. Yuri-hyung's handsome."

"Did your dibs expire?"

"Like a month ago? Yeah."

"That ."

...

"Are you angry?" she asked.

"I don't understand why you and Taeyeon-hyung are asking if I'm angry. There's no reason for me to be angry."

"We're just checking up on you, okay."

"I am angry. There. I said it."

"That's alright. I understand why. I think Taeyeon does too."

I sighed, "I don't know what to do anymore."

"Be happy for her, I think?"

I looked at her. She then gave me a faint smile. "That's the only way."

"Is that how you are with what Sooyoung is doing now?"

She stared at the still water. Tears have accumulated in her eyes. "Sort of..."

I looked back at the water too. "I guess... I guess I should start to accept reality then."

...

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" she asked.

"Sooyoung's birthday celebration?"

"Yeah."

"I guess so."

"You do know Jessica and Yuri are going to be there too, right?"

"I'll try my best to be calm, noona."

"Good. Let's all try to be calm."

"Are you sure you're going to be okay tomorrow?"

"I think so..."

"..."

"I hope..."

It's the next day. Sooyoung's belated birthday party at their private beach resort. We all decided to meet up at the port to travel together to the resort through Sooyoung's private yacht.

And you know what? We are freaking feeling the awkwardness. It seemed there have been some developments around the love lives of our friends.

Apparently, Sooyoung and Tiffany-noona are now together for real, as in dating together. Then, it's Yuri-hyung and Jessica together now too. It was totally an awkward moment when Sooyoung announced the news. No one seemed to look happy at all.

Taeyeon-hyung and I have an inkling, though. That, the new Jessica and Yuri-hyung couple seemed to be just forced. They're totally just acting out. I could sense it. 

Anyway, it was then a shocking incident on the yacht ride. It was freaking blood boiling for me.

Yoong. Calm down. Calm down. You need to calm down. This ride will only take a few minutes. Exercising your extremely incredible amount of patience for a short while wouldn't hurt.

Apparently, Yuri-hyung and Jessica decided to freaking share lots of skinship then a kiss.

And now the two new couples are having a contest. Fany-noona got irritated by Yuri-hyung's show off, that, she pulled Sooyoung for a kiss too. And you know what my hyung did? He pulled Jessica into him again and they made out. Freaking made out!

The heck I don't care if they are doing this just for show or something to make Fany-noona jealous but it really gets into my nerves! Jessica once told me she has a crush on Yuri-hyung before. Now, this?!

I couldn't help it, it got into my head. Good thing I am wearing my shades to hide my fury and of course, little tears in my eyes. "I can't wait to get to the beach!" I shouted which had them stop kissing. "No, really! I will find a girl who I can date there. A girl who will not leave me out of the blue and for no reason at all! Oh, wait. I'll find a girl who'll never ever break my heart to date one of my friends!"

"Yoong, calm down." Taeyeon-hyung said to me.

"Oh, don t worry. I am calm!" I looked at the yacht crew. "Can't this boat be a little faster?! I can't wait to get to see my future girlfriend!"

"We'll be there in five minutes Sir Im." he said.

I glanced at her. Jessica's about to tear up too. Damn it, my Sica baby. I don't understand you. Why are you being like this? Are you really just trying to mess with me?

We finally arrived. I rushed inside Soo's vacation house and headed straight to the room assigned to me. After about half an hour, someone knocked on my door.

"Yoong." Tiffany-noona called.

"I'm busy, noona."

"Can we talk for a bit?"

I sighed in defeat. I opened the door and let her in. She was quite a bit conscious if someone followed her though. She even locked the door and then asked me to sit on the bed. She sat beside me.

"Noona, whatever this is, we cannot hook up. I am still honoring the underhand dibs Yuri-hyung declared."

"Silly. I don't have any plans to hook up with you like ever in my life."

"Wow, that hurts."

"What? Don't tell me you're like Sooyoung who has a terrible crush on me too?"

"I am very vocal with my feelings for you and that I really do have a crush on you. I am just aware of the boundaries."

"Awww-- You are really a nice guy."

"But you know, the boundaries can be removed... err-- sometimes." 

Damn it. I am supposed to be the number one to know how to hit on a girl. Now I sounded like a weird kid around Tiffany-noona. Tsk tsk. Jessica has broke me, really.

"And I am not here to remove those boundaries you're calling." she said back.

"Why are you here, though?"
 
"I just wanted to check if you're okay."

"I am okay. Who says I am not?"

"Then, why were you mad earlier?"

"It's just... Yuri-hyung and Jessica really look good together. Like, they're perfect for each other. Then, they initiated that skinship. It's like a big slap on my face." Even if I do have a feeling they're just faking it...

She then frowned and looked away, "Yeah. You got a point on that. I have to admit, I really did feel jealous." She started to look gloomy.

"Hey. It's alright." I said to cheer her up.

She smiled in return. Then, she said, "It's going to be alright on you too. They might be dating now but... I think it won't last." She sounded as if hiding something from me though. Could it be that she found out Yuri-hyung and Jessica are just fake dating?

I chuckled, "Let me guess. You found out something but you're not allowed to spill the beans, is it?"

She laughed nervously, "What are you talking about?"

"Alright. I pretend I didn't guess that out."

"Just believe in my words, okay. My words are absolute."

"Fine." I then asked, "Tell me, though. Why on earth you decided to be official with Sooyoung now?"
