Kai halted his bike abruptly. Was that Ari?

She had disappeared again and it had been a week already. And for some reason, this time it felt as though Ari wanted him to find her.

Everywhere he goes, he catches glimpses of her but whenever he tries to get a closer look, she disappears.

There was this little doubt that was beginning to grow inside of Kai. Was Ari even real? Does anyone other than his mother know who this girl was?

Then what about the painting that hung inside of his room or the things that belongs to her that laid strewn everywhere in his room?

Why was she so… Unreal?

He took off his helmet and got off his bike. He needed some time to think about this. He did not want to go home, it was still early after all and also his house was only some walks away now.

Leaving his bike in the corner of the street, he strolled down the lonely lanes.

This neighborhood was a rich neighborhood, for the privileged people. A quiet place and a place that had no ounce of love or laughter. It was truly pathetic. He could get out of here and set up his life elsewhere, away from his painful memories and from his brother and his father.

Why, he could have get out of here the moment he turned 18. He really had thought about that but in the end he stayed because he was still waiting for her.

In the end, he sighed as he thought, it was all because of Ari.

Chapter 66: I finished this in one go. And I'm thinking what to comment, actually reading this makes me think hard. About Ari, about Kai and all life stuff. lol. anyway, this hurts knowing if only Kai reached out to her, by then this won't end like this. But then again, its in human nature so I understand Kai. He is selfish to only think of his own problems but he is already drowning in his own demons to see that others are suffering as well. But I'm happy everything turns out well for him in the end. And I also salute Ari, she fight long enough though she decided to give up and rest in the end. She is brave enough to at least help and be there for Kai even if she is also drowning in her own demons.

Thank you for this one and I hope you are okay now. If in any case you need someone just to listen to you and has no one else, you can PM me. Cheers for more great work Ms. Author 💙

Chapter 66: This hurts

But I'm grateful for your final message. Life is precious, no matter how difficult at the time. I didn't end up as Ari but I did have a time like her. It's hard not to drown in our own pain and miss that of others. I feel reminded to see beyond myself.

I hope you (and fellow readers) always take care <3
