“Who knew you were a friend of Jang Ari?” His brother said in a rather amused tone over to him at the dinner table.

Today was one of those extremely rare cases where the Kim brothers dined together.

Jang? Her surname is Jang?

“How on earth did you even meet her? I thought I would not live to even see her face but I did. She’s got her mother’s lovely feature although I have never seen her father, I believe she inherited her father’s personality.”

Kai looked up from his food. Wait. His brother knows about Ari? Her parents as well?

“Oh wow,” His brother leans back to his chair and gives a small chuckle, “I thought as much. You don’t know anything about her, do you? You are still the same aren't you? You never ask anything."

His brother lets out a smug smile and a scoff. "I know a lot about her. Ask me and I will tell you.”

Kai looked down at his food and debated.

Should he ask him and fulfill his curiosity or die from ignorance? But then that means he will have to talk to his brother and that was the last thing he wanted to do. And also he had wanted to know about Ari from herself and not from others let alone his brother!

In the end, he just stood up and walked away because he wanted to ask and he could not let that happen.

“Run away again,” His brother called him out from behind, “But let me tell you… Ari is not some ordinary girl. Don’t invest your feelings with her.”

Chapter 66: I finished this in one go. And I'm thinking what to comment, actually reading this makes me think hard. About Ari, about Kai and all life stuff. lol. anyway, this hurts knowing if only Kai reached out to her, by then this won't end like this. But then again, its in human nature so I understand Kai. He is selfish to only think of his own problems but he is already drowning in his own demons to see that others are suffering as well. But I'm happy everything turns out well for him in the end. And I also salute Ari, she fight long enough though she decided to give up and rest in the end. She is brave enough to at least help and be there for Kai even if she is also drowning in her own demons.

Thank you for this one and I hope you are okay now. If in any case you need someone just to listen to you and has no one else, you can PM me. Cheers for more great work Ms. Author 💙

Chapter 66: This hurts

But I'm grateful for your final message. Life is precious, no matter how difficult at the time. I didn't end up as Ari but I did have a time like her. It's hard not to drown in our own pain and miss that of others. I feel reminded to see beyond myself.

I hope you (and fellow readers) always take care <3
