Eleven

He stood there, his hand on his heart as it did a drum roll. An involuntary smile curved into his lips and he had to breathe in deeply to compose himself. He opened the door again, making sure to carry a good nonchalant face but he did not even had any time to show that off as he was literally crushed into a bear hug. Boy, he had missed this.

 “Oh you dork!” She exclaims after letting go of him. She faced him, her palms on both sides of his cheeks. “You’ve grown!”

He says nothing simply letting his eyes trace her lovely features. They were all the same but somehow so much prettier. The best thing, however was that he towered over her, unlike the years before where she was either taller or the same.

“I’m going in,” She says, before he had recovered and marches in. Kai stands there for a long time, reflecting on the scene that had just happened, before a crash is heard from his room and he had to go.
