Jongin chuckled again thinking of what that girl must be going through now. It has been already 6 hours since he had dropped her there.

At least by now she would be clever enough to leave him alone. She did not even have to come to him for her belongings because he had thrown it on the road on his way back. Maybe if she was fast enough she would find it before someone else. Tsk. He was too kind.

He slumped down on his bed, his gaze going towards the painting of his mother as always and sighed deeply. His life was never going to get better. There was no one by his side and it was excruciating not to let out the knife that was lodged inside of him.

His gaze went down to the cookie jar that was now empty. His gaze lingered on her handkerchief that lay there, year after year collecting dust. Where was Ari and her free hugs when he needs them?

He scoffed slightly when he remembered how Ari always leave him without any goodbye. He was waiting this time as well, unconsciously and consciously. Many a times he finds himself wondering how must that girl look like now. She must be seventeen now and must have grown.

But why does he care right? Why should he worry over someone who always comes and goes as she likes? Besides he wasn’t someone to be treated like that. He was someone feared, someone people listened to.

He sighs and his bed. The house was too silent and almost eerie. He hated it. If his mother was still alive and here, th

Chapter 66: I finished this in one go. And I'm thinking what to comment, actually reading this makes me think hard. About Ari, about Kai and all life stuff. lol. anyway, this hurts knowing if only Kai reached out to her, by then this won't end like this. But then again, its in human nature so I understand Kai. He is selfish to only think of his own problems but he is already drowning in his own demons to see that others are suffering as well. But I'm happy everything turns out well for him in the end. And I also salute Ari, she fight long enough though she decided to give up and rest in the end. She is brave enough to at least help and be there for Kai even if she is also drowning in her own demons.

Thank you for this one and I hope you are okay now. If in any case you need someone just to listen to you and has no one else, you can PM me. Cheers for more great work Ms. Author 💙

Chapter 66: This hurts

But I'm grateful for your final message. Life is precious, no matter how difficult at the time. I didn't end up as Ari but I did have a time like her. It's hard not to drown in our own pain and miss that of others. I feel reminded to see beyond myself.

I hope you (and fellow readers) always take care <3
