At 13 he went through the loss of the only person he loves. At a stage when everyone is confused mentally, emotionally, physically- he had to go through a massive heartbreak too, as he threw a handful of soil into his mother’s grave.

His father and his brother did not seemed bothered, like he thought they would be but he had hopped with all his heart that they would show something and that they would prove that they are human.

For a week he stayed shut in his room not moving. In those dark moments even his heartless father had not raised his voice at him but the worse thing was that his father and his brother was now permanently present in there.

His unstable emotions always led him to thinking about dark things, like how badly he wished to join his mother again, or how everything will be much easier if he goes away.

At the end of that dreadful week something happened that made him realize that he was still living. It was probably in the dead of the night when Ari knocked on his window pane wearing black from her head to her toe.

Maybe it was because of how much his mother loved Ari or how Ari always made his mother laugh that he ran to her and cried for the longest time possible. He felt his pain go away a little as he poured out his pain, his worries of facing the world and his father without his mother. She said nothing but calmly wiped off his tears. He felt comforted, something he thought will never happen to him again.

Chapter 66: I finished this in one go. And I'm thinking what to comment, actually reading this makes me think hard. About Ari, about Kai and all life stuff. lol. anyway, this hurts knowing if only Kai reached out to her, by then this won't end like this. But then again, its in human nature so I understand Kai. He is selfish to only think of his own problems but he is already drowning in his own demons to see that others are suffering as well. But I'm happy everything turns out well for him in the end. And I also salute Ari, she fight long enough though she decided to give up and rest in the end. She is brave enough to at least help and be there for Kai even if she is also drowning in her own demons.

Thank you for this one and I hope you are okay now. If in any case you need someone just to listen to you and has no one else, you can PM me. Cheers for more great work Ms. Author 💙

Chapter 66: This hurts

But I'm grateful for your final message. Life is precious, no matter how difficult at the time. I didn't end up as Ari but I did have a time like her. It's hard not to drown in our own pain and miss that of others. I feel reminded to see beyond myself.

I hope you (and fellow readers) always take care <3
