One Shot At A Time
What an eventful day. After spending some quality time with your mother, you were taking the bus home when you chanced upon your former classmate whom you were close with. Seeing that the night was young, you agreed to his proposal of a catch-up over dinner. There was so much to talk about: the past and the present. He had found a job working as the manager of a large corporation, and he made sure that he flaunted it to you with the restaurant that he had picked.
While waiting for the food to arrive, a lady entered the room. Your former classmate introduced her as his fiancée, and you told him that he was lucky to find a catch like her. He told you that it was their parents’ idea, but they eventually formed a close relationship. They weren’t passionately in love yet, but they were well on their way.
All that talk and fine dining had the company forgetting the time. Before anyone knew it, it was 10pm. Your former classmate offered you a ride home, and you gladly accepted. Sitting in the back, you still didn’t listen to your friend and kept answering the fiancée’s questions about your friend. To say the least, your friend was very much embarrassed by your revelations, and you knew that. But you wanted the two of them to get closer, so you were more that happy to divulge every last information about your friend.
“Thanks!” you said to the couple and went up the stairs. As the door lock clicked and you about to enter, you heard your friend calling out to you from the bottom of the stairs. You closed the door as he climbed up the stairs.
“Here’s an invite to our wedding,” he said silently, handing you an envelope. You gasped and gave him a bear hug. “I’ll definitely go,” you said loudly with joy. He chuckled and left. You put the envelope in your bag and opened the door again. You were surprised when you entered, as you saw your husband sitting on the couch with his elbows on his knees and his eyes gazing at the floor.
“Oppa, you’re home?” you aske
