“It...happened after one of our concerts.”

Yoongi picked at one of his nails, not looking up at you while he spoke, as if he outright refused to do so. Or perhaps he simply couldn't bring himself to.
“...What concert it was, when it happened...that doesn't matter. It all went down after it was over anyway. We walked out of the venue, we were getting ready to leave, and then this guy came up to me...”

His fists clenched tightly now. You could see his hands were quivering a bit because he was just so damn tense.
“He starts spewing all this s**t about how my lyrics are garbage and how I'll never amount to anything. How I just got lucky, I don't have any talent. Crap like that...”

Actually hearing it from his own mouth made it all the worse. It must have hurt him so much, to be told something like that to his face, by someone he had mistaken for a fan no less.

“Anyway, I could only take hearing so much before I had to do something.” he finally looked up at you after muttering that, then leaned in close again.

You tensed, and went even more rigid when his hand s up to your neck. His fingers snatched around your pajama collar and tugged it down, so your head was lower than his. Naturally, you couldn't breathe, but not because he had actually restricted your windpipe. Just because you were basically nose to nose.
