“Baby…”

“Nurse!!!!!!”

Minho ran as quickly as he could when he heard Joohyun was screaming for the nurse.  A worst scenario was playing in his head. He chanted again and again that God would be feeling sorry for them and let this one as a false alarm. When he reached the room, he saw the doctor and nurses gathered around the bed and punching some buttons.

“What’s wrong?” Frantically he asked them.

Until a soft hand touched him and he looked at Joohyun’s eyes. She was crying, and his heart skipped a beat, but then he found them sparkled.  As if she found her spirit of live that was lost the day she found Kyuhyun was in coma.

“Hyunnie?”

“He called me.” The girl sobbed but her voice was of happy than sad. “His fingers moved.” She was hiccupping but her lips twitched into a small smile. “He comes back to me, Min.”

Minho instantly moved his gaze to the life support and saw a steady but firm heartbeat of his favorite hyung. He blinked again as if to ensure that his eyes were not playing with his brain to deceit his mind.  But the picture stayed the same. Of the steady rise and fall of Kyuhyun’s chest.

Joohyun threw herself into his body while continued to cry. He pulled her closer and patted her back to calm her down.  He looked at the doctor that smiled to both of them.

“He just gained his consciousness back. But he must be too tired so he was falling asleep now. Maybe we should let his parents know?”

Minho nodded to the nice doctor. “I will do that. Thanks so much Doctor!”

“No worries.” The doctor glanced at Joohyun and his smile widen. “I think we should thank the young lady here.” He nodded to Joohyun who now had pulled out her body from Minho’s arms and looking at the doctor in confusion. “If you’re not here and talking to him all the time, he may not back yet. I guess it was your voice that guides him back.”

Joohyun blushed while Minho chuckled. “It seems you really found him, Hyun.”

They both bowed to the doctor who told them that they had given Kyuhyun a small dose of sedative to make him rest. But the critical point was passed now and he should be awake in full consciousness tomorrow (or today since it was after midnight anyway).  But yes, someone had still been with him to monitor his condition.

Minho told Joohyun to stay with him while he made some calls. She hugged him and thanked him for his understanding. That she needed that time alone with him to celebrate.

Three hours later, after fell into sleep with her head near his chest, Joohyun was waking up by a soft brush in her hair.  Her heart stopped and shyly she lifted her head and peeked to the head of the bed.

Very tired eyes of her Oppa looked back at her softly. She jumped and touched his face.

“Baby…...”

She wanted to cry and laugh at the same time. He’s here! He’s back!

“Oppa.”

He tried to put a smile but it was very clear that his energy was not back yet.

“Oppa, don’t push yourself.”

“Baby, I….”

His hand which already held by hers weakly moved.  She clasped the fingers with hers, while her other hand brushed softly the hair in his forehead.

“Shshsh….. Just rest Oppa.”

She gave in to th
