The internet and media feasted on the proposal. It was simple and grand in its own little way. The fact that the people most important to couple came to that concert and help prepare and be there during the proposal was more than enough to bring Joohyun immense happiness. She woke up the next morning and found herself staring at her ring. She takes off all her jewelry when she sleeps, but not this. It’s not just one of the many jewelries she has. This special one is a symbol of Yonghwas commitment to her and by her wearing it is her answer to his commitment.

They both agreed though that the wedding preparation will start right after Shinhyes wedding which is only a month away. Shinhye and Kevin will be leaving the next day to make sure that everything is in order by the time their guests arrives. Yonghwa’s mother will be travelling with with Mrs. Seo and will be arriving a week before the wedding since Mr. Seo has prior engagement and will be arriving 2 days before the wedding and will be coming from London.. Yonghwa and Joohyun will be arriving together with Taeyeon Yoona and Yuri 3 days prior to the actual wedding so they can attend the wedding rehearsal.

Joohyun has never been the romantic type and not one soul knew that she has her wedding planned since she was 5. She had it all figured out, the venue, the motif, the food (she’s reconsidering this since she had chocolate mousse listed as her entrée ).

She stood up from he rbed and walked to her window, opening the curtains to let the morning sun come in. She stood wwith her back to it and lifted her left finger. The slightest move her hands make made the diamond in her ring sparkle. She had a smile plastered permanently on her face when her mom came in. She immediately put her hand down and stood there immobile

“Oh good you’re awake. I had called Moira to let her know that we will have another wedding soon so that she can be on standby and available as soon as you and Yonghwa are able to plan your wedding. Her and her team has been showing nothing but excellence in Shinhye’s wedding and I would like for her to take on yours too”

Joohyun who was just standing there just looked at her mom

“Seo Joohyun, what is it?”

She smiled.

“Nothing.”

Her mom walked to her and took her left hand to look at the ring

“You are so obvious Hyunah, you’re trying to hide that smile on your face but you’re glowing”

Her mother slowly let go of her hands and cupped her face

“But I’m happy you’re happy ddal. Me and appa wants nothing but happiness for the three of you. And I’m glad that Yonghwa has been nothing but you’re source of joy, when you two grow older, and physical attraction is no longer there, it is important that you are happy with each other. That’s how you two will get through old age. “

She laughed silly “Mom you talk like you and appa are halmoni and harabojis age! And I doubt that you two no longer have physical attraction”

“Well of course we do sweetheart, I can teach you a thing or two” her mom smiled mischievously

“ew mom no!”

In the middle of their teasing, Shinhye came in and plop on Joohyuns bed and buried herself under the comforter.

“Please be quiet I need ample rest for my long flight tomorrow” she mumbled, sinking deeper

Joohyun then jumped on her bed and landed with a “poof” from under. She hugged her sister who was cocooned in between sheets. Their mom went to the other side and lied down to sandwiching Shinhye

“Aigoo, my only regret is not having to be a present mother. I always knew I demanded a lot from you Shinhye and neglected you Joohyun. Parenting doesn’t come with a manual and I’m just glad you two turned out to be nothing but the best”

Joohyun snorted “Of course you’ll say that since we are your kids”

“No, I have been in this circle enough to know what has been happening to those other kids of your dads friends, their heads have gone way too big along with their ego. It sometimes made us think that your appa and I may have done something better to have you and your oppa.”

There was silence for a split seconds till they felt Shinhye shaking and heard her sniffing

Joohyun removed the layers of her sheets until she saw her sisters hair

“Aw unnie, don’t cry” squeezing the older girl tighter

Shinhye removed the hair from her face and sobbed “I suddenly don’t want to leave this house, I suddenly want to stay here forever and be with everyone”

“Aigoo! You’re saying that now because Kevin is not here, once he wakes up I bet you’ll be all over him again!” their mom

“Eomma!”

“What?! As much as I want all of you under this roof forever you all know that’s impossible, you all have to live your own lives and leave me and appa alone, now that you are all adults, it’s time for me and appa to take things easy”

Joohyun sat up and looked at her mom

“You want us gone!”

“YES! And I want you both out of this bed as we have a lot of things to do today! So UP!!” their mom playfully flicked both their foreheads

Yonghwa on the other hand has been getting the cold shoulders from his boss.

Publicity is still publicity. And it still brings in money to the company. They were expecting for the stocks to plummet but boy were they surprised that it went the other way. They now even posted a congratulatory message to the couple on FNCs SNS accounts. This earned an eyeroll from Jungshin, Minhyuk and Jonghyun. The 3 expected this outcome given that the proposal and now the upcoming wedding is the talk of the town. Their hyung who’s in cloud 9 couldn’t care less, he was bent with this proposal, even to the extent that if their company will be kicking him out, he’s okay with it as well but since everyone around him seems to be really happy, with whatever reason they may have, then he’s all good.

Yonghwa stretched as he reached for his phone under his pillow and dialed the most dialed number on his mobile. Not a second later and his cheonsa answered her phone

“Good morning future Mrs. Ju
