The Shoebox LettersSeptember 2006
Yong oppa,
Judging by your last letter that no longer has salutations I think you are way beyond mad, let me explain myself and try to wrap your brain around this. What I was trying to point at is, shouldn’t relationships be start with love and physical attraction is just the cream of the crop? I understand what you mean about physical attraction, everyone has that, it doesn’t end with a boy-girl thing, even girls become attracted to other girls (I don’t know about guys tho) but serious commitment wise, I don’t see you as someone who will enter a relationship just because you kissed. I have more faith in you than that, oppa you are one of the few people who I have seen passion in their eyes and I don’t think commitment isn’t too far off from your stand point. And what do you mean look outside? Oppa, the reason why I read books is to get a glimpse of another side because I’ve seen enough of the outside world. I have walked and talked enough to know how real relationship works. I maybe young and unexperienced but that doesn’t mean I don’t see things around me. I maybe sheltered but never had I used it as an excuse for ignorance.
And oppa, feelings are never hypocrite. Having standards is also not being a hyprocite. Nothing in love is hyprocite.
So..are you sure you’re on the right path?
Joohyun

I would love to spend our birthdays in this lifetime toget
