During few days after the "aygeo incident", as Luhan calls it, Sehun had been rather comfortable with him. If their arms accidentally touched, Sehun wouldn't immediately jump away or cringe at the contact. If Luhan wanted to go somewhere, Sehun would simply nod his head, not even bothering to argue.

Their relationship had gotten somewhat stronger indirectly. There was rarely an awkward silence and their lessons were becoming more fun and regular. Sehun's patience had increased for the older male's, as well as his awareness. Even without trying noticing it, Sehun would find himself keeping watch of Luhan, making sure he was okay, making sure he was keeping out of trouble, and just simply near him.

It was quite rare to not see Luhan and Sehun together most of the day, though there were those times when Luhan and Kyungsoo would sneak away, leaving behind and annoyed Sehun and a lonely, lovesick Jongin.

"So you and Sehun..?" Kyungsoo raises his eyebrow suggestively. They hadn't gotten much quality time together and Luhan even suggested that they go back to the restaurant for a day. By the second week, Halmeoni had already taken care of the restaurant, sending her own workers there to manage the business.

"What about us?" Luhan happily replies, causing Kyungsoo to subtly frown.

"Us? You say it so casually. I didn't know the two of you were so close."

"He's not a bad kid, really. He even promised to not call you names anymore." Luhan explains with a smile and Kyungsoo couldn't help but feel a bit of doubt creeping in his mind.

"Well, he hasn't been extremely rude or angry lately..even Halmeoni seems to be at ease.."

"He's changed. And plus, a happier Sehun means more time for Jongin, And more time for Jongin means more time with you." Luhan winks at his shorter friend who just blushes with wide, embarrassed eyes.

"Wha- Yah! That- You-! Ugh."

Luhan just laughs and Kyungsoo can't help but chuckle along with him. For the rest of the afternoon, the two boys walked through the rose garden and around the palace grounds. Luhan didn't tell Kyungsoo about Sehun and his private conversations, or about the meadows, but after 3 hours, Kyungsoo had caught up with Luhan and Sehun's progress.

At around 2, Luhan returned to their bedroom. The two boys were notified about a special event Halmeoni had prepared for them. It was supposedly to celebrate Luhan's official one month stay at the palace, but Sehun believed that the old woman had just nothing to do and waste her money on.

Luhan spotted the familiar lump of a certain blonde haired boy under the blankets on their bed.

"Sehun-ah..Halmeoni says we should be goin-"

"I don't want to."

Luhan pouted. "Why not? Halmoni said the event was for both of us."

"I doubt it. Anything she's prepared, I've probably seen or done before. Just go on your own." Sehun mumbled. Luhan couldn't understand why Sehun was suddenly being so stubborn.

"Us? You say it so casually..I didn't know the two of you were so close."

Us..

"Sehun..there's an 'us'..right?" Luhan asks quietly, not really sure what he was asking. Or rather, why he was asking.

"What do you mean, 'us'?"

"As in...like, you know.." Luhan shuffled around. "..me and you."

Sehun rolled over with a sigh. "Us?"

"Yeah..us.."

There was a silence for a moment. Luhan didn't know what to expect, not that he was expecting anything.

"Well of course, there's me and you. There's me and you in this room, in this palace, in this kingdom..in this world. What else would we be?"

Luhan's throat went slightly dry and he craved for a sip of water.

Was this a good or bad sign? Was Sehun's response what he wanted to hear? Was he really satisfied with Sehun's answer?

"Oh..well.. okay then." Luhan nodded before walking back towards the door. He hadn't gotten his hopes high, but why did he feel let down? Why did he feel disappointed? Was it really disappointment, or just confusion? Luhan didn't know.

"You're leaving?" Sehun called as Luhan opened the bedroom doors.

"Yeah. I'll let Halmeoni know you're not up for the event now." Before Sehun could even respond, Luhan left the room, closing the door quietly behind him.

"Luhan, I know it hasn't exactly been a month bu-"

"Halmeoni, this is already more than I expected. Honestly, I didn't even expect anything at all!" Luhan smiled before Halmeoni laughed along. Eventually, after walking around the palace to clear his head, he went to meet up with Halmeoni, who had a bright smile on her face. What did Halmeoni plan for him?

"But..where's Sehun?"

"He's being grumpy and refuses to leave the room." Luhan explains and Halmeoni nods understandingly. She knew him too well to try to get him out of bed.

"That child will come later, then. Come on." Halmeoni guides Luhan from the main floor of the palace to a separate hall, one that Luhan hadn't quite fully explored yet. Although he had walked through most of the palace, there were still some areas and rooms that Luhan hadn't been given permission to enter.

They stood before the large closed wooden doors and Luhan waited for Halmeoni to reveal the 'special event'.

"So.." Luhan bounced on his toes, full of curiosity. "the present is behind those doors?"

"Yes."

"I see.." Luhan paused, hesitating to take a step further.

"Well, go on!" Halmeoni gently pushed Luhan' back, encouraging him to open the doors. Luhan smiled at her and reached to grip onto the door handle when the door opened on its own.

"Ah!" "Sor-"

Sehun nuzzled his head further into his fluffy pillows. Anyone could tell he was scowling. But at what, that was a mystery.

He wasn't angry that Halmoni was celebrating Luhan's one month stay (though he did think that it was really unnecessary).

He wasn't upset that Halmoni was preparing an event for mainly Luhan. In fact, he wasn't even angry.

Sehun was bothered. Why had Luhan asked him that?

What did he mean by 'us'?

Did he mean..us as friends? Romantically?- surely not.'

Sehun sat up in bed, clearly frustrated by the older male's words.

"I mean, he did say that there was no 'us'..he admitted that he didn't like me that way..and we're on speaking terms, for now.."

He still couldn't put his finger on it.

"Us..?" Sehun didn't know if what he said was right. Was Luhan angry with his response? Was he supposed to say something else?

Even in the most comfortable bed in the entire kingdom, Sehun felt uncomfortable and uneasy. The unsettling feeling in his stomach made him stress.

"I'll just ask him.." Sehun decided, and got out from under the blankets.

He paused in his movements, holding the edge of the blankets in one hand and his feet hovering the floor.

"No, no no..it'd be too obvious. He's attending his stupid event anyways.."

Sehun huffed and pulled the blanket over himself, embracing the warmth of the covers. He laid there for a while, rolling around and turning on his sides.

"But..what if he's angry at me? Or upset with me? Or thinks that I hate him? What if-" Sehun couldn't stop thinking of the possibilities. How could Luhan just leave after asking such a question?

"You know what, be a man Sehun! Just go and talk to him. He's not intimidating and h-he's the one who brought it up first! It's only natural that I ask him about it. I have the right to. You're handsome, courageous, strong, handsome. And-"

"Sehun, who are you talking to?" Sehun freezes and immediately sits up to see Jongin peeking in with a puzzled expression.

"I-I-I uh..T-there was a..uh." Sehun was at a loss for words.

Jongin couldn't help but laugh. "Anyways, Halmeoni was asking for you. She wants you to come to the event."

"Y-Yeah." Sehun cleared his voice and fixed his hair before pulling on a poker face. He couldn't show his weak side to Jongin, especially if Luhan was the cause for it.

Just as he passed his friend, Jongin chuckled. "Yes, you're handsome Sehun. I'm sure Luhan thinks so too."

At that, Sehun lost his cool composure and his ears turned red within seconds.

"Yah!"

Sehun found himself walking with Jongin to the hall which Halmeoni and Luhan were supposedly waiting for them.

He had made several detours, still nervous about seeing Luhan. Jongin simply said that he had too much pride to give up. He had never seen Sehun so jumpy and unsure about something. He was always defiant and well, composed from the outside.

"Dude, you're acting like some teenage girl fan girling over her favorite Kpop group." Jongin commented, earning a glare from Sehun.

"I am not!"

"Yes you are, you can't even walk straight and you've been mumbling nonsense about what to say when you see Luhan."

"Wha- that's normal. I just don't want to say something mean to him."

Jongin looked at his best friend. "Well, that's new..since when were the two of you so close?"

"We aren't. We're just..." Sehun didn't really know how to describe his relationship with Luhan. They were almost like friends, but in reality, they were supposed to get married. Then, mentally, they hated each other at first, so in a way they would be enemies. They had come so far.

From making a stupid deal to break off the plan, to simply being each other's company. What were they really?

"Just..?"

"I-I dont know," Sehun threw his hands up. "Just Sehun and Luhan. We just spend time together because Halmeoni says we have to. We have to get married for her sake so, there's nothing we can do to change it. It's just me and him in this.."

Jongin stared at Sehun, not expecting that response. "Wow..I really missed a lot."

"Cuz you've been running around with Kyungsoo all day, every day." Sehun says, knowing that he's hit the spot.

Jongin's face turns red, "N-Not all day..!"

"Yeah, yeah, whatever." Sehun says with a smirk and Jongin blinks.

"You don't hate me?"

Sehun looks at Jongin, confused as to why he would say that. "No, why would I?"

"Because..I might be-"

"Gay? In love with Kyungsoo?"

The directness of Sehun's words couldn't be scarier. Jongin knew how his friend was and didn't say anything but nodded.

Sehun sighed. "I don't think I could ever hate you, even for something like that. Maybe it's because Luhan has influenced me but someone's uality..things like that don't bother me anymore. I guess I could see where he was coming from when I called Kyungsoo names. I would probably feel the same if someone said that about you."

"You're really changing, Sehun-ah."

Sehun laughed, "I know, right? It's pretty scary. If it were a month ago, I'd probably banish you from the palace.."

Jongin nervously chuckled at how serious Sehun sounded. "So, you knew about..you know, for a while? How I felt?"

"You're not hiding your feelings very well, dude. Anyone can tell, probably even Kyungsoo."

"I'm working on it!" Jongin smiled before remembering that they had somewhere to go.

"We should probably hurry up, Halmoni is waiting."

"Right." Sehun felt the uneasy feeling in his stomach come back slowly. Quickly, they hurried to the 4th floor, briskly walking through the halls.

I'll just ask him.

Nothing to worry about.

We're Sehun and Luhan.

Just the two of us.

Only Luhan and-

"What the hell?!"

Sehun lost his train of thoughts at the sight of someone.

Someone whose lips were on Luhan's.

School work is really piling on at the moment and as soon as I got a break from it, I immediately typed up a new chapter! This is quite short and I hope you guys aren't too upset with this>_<
