Yuri and Taeyeon went to the Area 1 where the others were waiting, the petite vampire got the files she needed to know if what Director Michael is planning to. "We got what we need." Taeyeon told them, showing them what's inside. Seohyun gets one of the files and reading it with Yoona, their eyes widen.

"They plan on making bio weapons." The young gifted said before looking at the others, "It means... they are using our blood, to make them compatible with it. Enabling them to have the same strength as us, but it is not a good thing." she explained. "They are using it for their personal gain."

"But how would Catharine agree with this? Do they know about it?" Sooyoung asked.

"You think they betraying us?" Sunny looked at the rest as she had been confused about all this. "They already betrayed us." Yoona told them coldly and clenched her fists with anger, "They stole our image, our identity and even our responsibilities." She added and gritted her teeth, "She knew all about this at the very beginning." She looked back at Taeyeon.

"If we encountered them again, let me deal with Catharine, alone." She told the petite vampire before shaking her head, "I'm afraid you can't do that." Taeyeon disagreed and glanced at Seohyun for a moment before turning her head back to Yoona.

"As long as Vivian is beside her, you cannot lay a finger on her." Taeyeon said, she knew Vivian is much more stronger than Yoona and given by their current situation, they can't charge forward towards them, not without a plan to take back what they had stole from them. She scoffed and retorted, "Why not? I can take care of Vivian... and Catharine." 

Sooyoung walk towards Yoona and--

PUNCH

Yoona fell down from ground after the taller lady punched her in the face and was grabbed by the collar, "For once in your goddamn life, set aside your personal anger towards her and her goddamn followers!" She shouted as she glared down at Yoona with her eyes full of anger as she tightened her grip on her collar.

Seohyun was about to interfere when Taeyeon stopped her, telling her not to stop them. "Yoona..." She clutched her chest tightly as she looked at the two women in front of them. She knew Yoona is still mad at Catharine and her lies, her heroic deeds are now have been diminished since she came back to life to haunt them once again.

"This is not just about Catharine, this is about saving our friends from this situation for 's sake man!" She kept yelling in front of Yoona while the latter just kept shut while Sooyoung tells her what she wanted to hear. "We have pressing matters to do other than taking revenge on those Blue Mothering Hawks and stop them from making biological weapons that were created from our blood-- OUR OWN ING BLOOD, YOU HEAR ME?!" Then she let go off her and dropped her on the ground again.

"Tsk, you should think about us, not just your revenge towards her." Sooyoung muttered as she looked down, "You should also think about Seohyun as well, you know how much she's worried than you think. There are enemies who will take advantage of her capabilities as well as her power, and you, as her lover..." She went closer to her and lend her hand to help her up. "We can't always protect Seohyun, she needs you." Sooyoung's tone of voice became more softer.

Yoona looked up at her and chuckles a bit before taking her hand, standing up from the ground and glanced at the others. "I'm sorry, I should have restrained myself from getting angry." Then she looked at Seohyun with a smile of reassurance, "I guess I should think of Seohyun's safety more than my own personal vendetta."

Seeing that her team has been going back to normal, Taeyeon grins and walk towards them. "Now that you came to your senses that selfishness is not always good at one individual, we should also get out of here with our limbs still intact."

They all nodded and ran to the routes they remembered to go out of the HQ.

SEULGI

"Control Room C... where is it?" I muttered as I crawl my way through the vents, sometimes it is a good thing that the air vents are big enough for me to fit through just in case I need a sneaky attempt to get to any rooms without even stepping in the corridors.

I looked through my GPS where I am at and where is the control room that Taeyeon eonnie mentioned to me, I see that I am almost in that destination when I heard two guards talking while walking. I slowly crawl to listen to their conversation.

"Heard about a small team of rookies?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

"Yesterday, the director officially considered them as traitors."

"What? What for?!"

"For compromising their mission and freeing the prisoners who are from the Rank SSS."

"That is no good, did the 9th Division caught them? I heard they are pretty good at catching criminals."

"They are, they got four of them... the other one escaped."

"Where did they put the four members? They did caught their leader right, the other Joohyun girl?"

"Yeah, I heard they are currently being tested as subjects of some sort of brainwashing program."

I couldn't help but to gasp quietly as I continue to crawl my way to my destination. This is really bad! Those monsters! How could they do that to them-- Irene, Joy, Yeri and Wendy are in grave danger!

I had to get things done in the control room first before looking for them, I can't stand seeing them being used as puppets. I can't allow that! I clenched my fist and dropped down to the room I am supposed to drop. Two security staffs were alerted but I quickly knocked them out without even pushing buttons to alert the other guards.

I locked the door and closed the windows before I looked at the security cameras stationed in the west wing of the headquarters where Taeyeon eonnie and the others went to get those important files. I can see Taeyeon eonnie battling with her body double and ended up knocking her out before she rushed to the Area 1 where the others are waiting.

Irene told me a thing or two about the buttons in the control room and all I did was to delete all the footage of Taeyeon entering the director's office and running passed the three cameras on her way to the Area 1. "Deleting..." I looked at the monitor to see the process of deleting the footage.

As soon as the process is on sixty percent, I felt someone was behind my back. I turned around to see Irene behind me, "I--" She quickly throws a knife towards me and I dodged it. "Hey! Irene it's me!" I told her before I looked at her.

Her expression is nothing but plain, lifeless and controlled by the little chip stuck both of her temples. That must be the one that had been controlling her, I have to get it from her, "Look, I came here to save you, all of you." Then she throws another attack on me. I kept dodging her punches and finally grapples her, "Listen, eonnie and the others will have a plan as soon as we get out of the headquarters--" I groaned as she elbowed me, hitting my ribs that had just been healed by Seohyun eonnie. "!" I let go of her and stepped back from her.

I touched my side and saw a hint of blood from it, she really got me good. I sighed and look back at her, "You really surprise me with your unpredictable moves." I commented before I charged forward at her.

We exchanged punches and dodges every attacks wew exchanged until I got the upper hand and grapples her again, she groaned as she tried to let go from me. "I hate to do this to you but this the only way you can listen to me." I told her before placing both of my palms on both sides of her temples as I'm grappling her from behind.

"This will hurt a little bit." I took a deep breath and unleashed my power to enter Irene's mind.

As my mind enters hers, I could see the surroundings all foggy and blurry...

Few moments, I saw the first memory of her. Irene was crying, beside her father who had just passed away, she was a kid back then but she told me her father died and no one visited his funeral. Then someone lend her a hand and took care of her, my eyes widen and discovered who is her mother. "No way..."

"What are you doing here?"

I turned around and saw her, she is the typical Irene I always see everyday. This must be her consciousness, "Seulgi?" and she recognized me before walking closer to me. I couldn't help and hugged her, tightly and lovingly, "God I missed you already!" I couldn't help but to burst into tears. She knew I'm a crybaby, she knew everything about me. "Geez, would you stop crying for one second! Why are you here-- Inside my mind!" She gently pulls away from me with a confused look.

"I don't know if you could remember but we were branded as traitors by the director and we got into a fight with the Blue Hawks." I told her before sighing, "A-and um... You were brainwashed by them, they are using you to do their bidding."

Irene's eyes widen and gasped but she eventually looked down and sighed, "I see... they abandoned us..." She muttered and turned away from me. "I failed... just like what she said to me."

I shake my head and went closer to her, "Hey don't say that! Whoever told you that is definitely wrong!" I told her as I hold her shoulder. "My mother told me I will be a failure and that it came true... I failed to protect you guys..." As soon as she finished said that, the fog disappeared and I saw nothing but blank space. Then I looked at Irene who is now her wrists chained with a dark entity, it must be that brainwashing device that attached onto her.

"Your mother is wrong--"

"My mother is always right!" She whipped her head back at me with her eyes red, "Don't you understand? Moms are always right, they know their children more than anyone do! She can see through me, my own mother!" 

"Irene..." I couldn't say a word, I couldn't relate. I never had a mother before, I was an orphan along with Wendy. But there's one way I could tell her, "If your mom is always right... then why, her own daughter, letting herself tell her that you're a failure?"

"I maybe an orphan but I have seen dozens of moms with their children telling them they aren't failure, because they believed in their children. If your mother tells you that you will be a failure then she isn't being a mother to you." I added and holds her hand gently as I looked at her directly and seriously. "Irene, I may not be your mother but as your teammate, your close friend, your comrade... You are a perfect leader to us, you never fail us... neither we fail you."

She looked up right to me as she starts to believe, I smiled and firmly hold her hand. "Call me a proud one but I'm saving you from your negative thoughts!" I chuckles and saw that the dark chains are starting to fade away, that means she is starting to wake up. "Let's get out of here." I told her as I lead her to the rays of hope.

I went back to my own consciousness and let go Irene as she went back to her consciousness, the pair of brainwashing chips sticked out from her temples. I quickly stomped it on the ground to break it before looking back at Irene, "You're back for real!" I jumped on her and hugged her, she groans and tries to pull away from me. Typical.

"Yah! You're such a grizzly bear hugger!" Irene told me before I pulled away before looking at the monitor, I went closer to it and smiled. The footage is successfully deleted, no one will know where they came in and out. "Why haven't you been brainwashed?" she asked.

"I escaped in a nick of time. You have been brainwashed by the director's orders, so far Yeri, Joy and Wendy are still under their influence." I explained the situation to her, "Taeyeon had a plan in her hand, I just deleted some of the footage of where she came and out. She told me to blow up the Area 1 when they escaped to cover their tracks."

She went closer to the monitors and typed something in the keyboards, "I'll have to open the emergency alarm so that people from Area 1 would evacuate immediately to Area 5." Irene pushed the red button and the emergency alarm starts to ring all over the headquarters. "You're a genius." I complimented her, "That's what I get from working under BBS for a decade." She chuckled before she typed something again and it was self-destruction code, I looked at her. "Are you really going to do it?" I asked her since she always had been wanting to try the self-destruction code for years.

"If this will save our asses from them, then I'll do it." Then she pushed the red button again and something popped up, the self-destruction timer. "We have 15 minutes to get ourselves away from the HQ." 

While the timer is counting down, we saw Vivian and Catharine walking to Area 1, they must have a known already. "We have to go." I told her but she grabbed my wrist and looked at the monitor, there we saw Catharine looking at us through the security camera. She looked at us with a serious and deathly glare which is, to be honest, went chills down to my spine.

"Let's go." Irene told me before we ran to the emergency exit, "We still have more time to think about how to save the other three, I believe they are in the East wing of the HQ. We'll save them soon enough just not now." I told her before we got to the very bottom of the exit and we got out. But we met a huge group of soldiers and pointed their guns on us.

They shouted to put our weapons down, "Here we go again... talk about getting caught." Irene muttered as she moved her hand to get her knife. "No, not anymore." I smirked and I saw Sunny eonnie jumped down from a platform and punched the ground. "Just in time!" She shouted before it makes a huge shockwave on the ground that made an earthquake, obliterating the soldiers that almost caught us.

Then a huge truck came and stopped in front of us, it was Taeyeon eonnie!

"Get in! Time to get the hell out of here." She told us before we get inside the truck with Irene, Sooyoung eonnie then steps on the gas and we drove away from the HQ. When we're a mile or two away from the place, the Area 1 exploded and a huge impact can be felt in an instant.

"Seulgi... about what you saw through my memories..." Irene looked at me with sincerity and holds my hand. "Don't tell them about my mother." 

I smiled and nodded, "I won't, you an count on me." I hugged her and this time she hugged me back.

Me and Irene looked back at the HQ and we saw Joy, Wendy and Yeri standing on top of the rooftop, gazing down at us, emotionlessly, with the brainwashing chip on their heads. I couldn't help but to look down.

Just hold on a bit longer, wait for us... We will save you from them.
