Kai just get off from the plane and their manager drove them back to the dorm, everyone was still sleepy since it was still early in the morning. Suho was awake as he slept all the way in the plane and now talking with their manager as he drove the van. The other members were asleep, so were the members in the other van.

Kai did sleep a while in the plane, but he couldn’t sleep well because he kept thinking about Subin. He didn’t know what to do, he just needed to see her again. “Hyung,” Kai said and their manager looked at him, ‘What?” Suho asked him. “Can I stay at the mansion today? I just want to know how is she.” Kai said hesitantly. “Are you sure?” their manager asked him and he nodded, “I’ll use my other car so that fan won’t recognize me.” Kai said again. Their manager thought about it for a while, “Okay then, just be careful, okay?” Kai nodded eagerly.

“Seems like the prediction are right hyung,” Suho whispered to their manager and they both just laughed.

Kai quickly drove his car to Subin’s house. He needed to know her condition, to look at her by his own eyes. As soon as he arrived, the maids looked shocked seeing him because they knew that Subin ‘sent’ him away to protect him.

“Where is she?” he asked Mr. Park who was about to greet him in front door. “Miss is at her study, master. If you could, please ask her to come out.” Mr. Park said again Kai furrowed his brows. “What do you mean?” he asked him again. “Miss Subin hadn’t come out from her study since she came back from the company yesterday.” Mr. Park said again and Kai went updstairs.

Kai looked at the door, he was sure Subin was still inside. He just couldn’t think what is she doing now. He quickly knocked at the door, no answer.

“I’m coming in,”

He entered the study room only to found Subin lying on the couch, sleeping. A smile was curved in his face, she looked so angelic and fragile when she’s asleep. He found books and her guitar lying on the floor. She spent her whole day in this room.

Kai walked over to Subin who was still asleep. He found her phone was still in her grip, “My text message?” he confused as he accidentally unlocked the phone. He couldn’t help but smiling as he found her cute. He sat beside her and her hair slowly, hoping she won’t wake up. Subin stirred in her sleep as she felt someone was her hair. Kai looked at her and decided to rest her head on his lap, just like those how most of the young couples did.

He held her hand and started to notice that she was having a bad dream, unknowingly she tightened her grip on his hand and her breathe started to become uneven. “Ssh, it’s okay… It’s just a dream…” he whispered to her ear and her breathing started to calmed down. She realized someone was there, “W-who…?” she murmured. “It’s me…. Kai.” Kai said. Instantly, she snuggled to him and a smile was curved in her face.

That’s it, he knows she felt safe around him.

“Yeah, and basically kicking me out of the bed didn’t help a lot.” Sehun being sarcastic to Chen who kicked him out of his bed. “But you’re the one who kept snuggling to me as if I’m your mother, gosh Sehun what dream did you have last night?” Chen argued, leaving the magnae speechless. “Okay, okay guys. Calm down, eat your breakfast and we’re heading to the company. Lay, you’re going to China tomorrow night, Chanyeol you’re having script reading tomorrow too, and the others will gone to Japan on Thursday night, rehearse Friday morning and concert till Monday.  You all know the schedules.” their managers said as they were having their breakfast.

“Anyway, Kai hasn’t come back yet?” Lay asked them and they looked around. “Not yet. Maybe he won’t?” Chanyeol started to make weird faces with Baekhyun. “Stop it, that’s gross.” D.O said bluntly.

Subin woke up and found herself in Kai’s lap, she furrowed her brows but then remembered that he whispered his name earlier this morning. He was sound asleep, his face was put on top of his palm and his left hand was holding her hand. Saw the red marks on his left hand, she realized that she tightened her grip on his hand earlier when she was having a bad dream.

She smiled and couldn’t help but staring at Kai. His sleeping face was priceless and she never stared at him this close. Back when they were on high school, she would only glare at him from afar after they insult each other.

His eyes, sharp nose, lips, and his bangs that covered most of his eyes was perfectly fit to his face. She never realized it until she saw him up-close like this. She couldn’t say that she wasn’t astonished by his facial feature.

Suddenly Kai groaned and he woke up from his sleep, “Hey,” she said while staring at him. He slowly opened his eyes and found her staring at him, “How long have you been awake?” he asked her while yawning.  “A while,” she said, “Yeah, long enough to staring at me?” Kai teased and she just chuckled. “Admit it, I could feel stares while I’m sleeping…” Kai lowered his head and she looked away but then laughed.

“Okay, whatever.” she said and he stopped teasing her. “So, how’s your feeling?” he asked her, Subin was still laying on his lap. “Fine, I just needed some time to think, you know…” she said and played with his fingers. He was taken back but then just smiled because he was comfortable with it. “Yeah, of course I know. Is it that hard?” he asked her again, “Nope, not anymore.” Because you’re here with me.

“It’s 9 in the morning, we should get some breakfast.” Kai stared at his phone and she nodded, “I’ll take a shower first.” she get off from his lap and they both exited the study room. Some maids that were cleaning near the study room was surprised as they never thought Subin would come out in anytime with a smiling face. While she was taking a shower, Kai went downstairs first.

“That’s impressive, master.” Mr. Park said, “What? Getting her out from the study?” Kai asked and the older man just smiled. “Miss usually spends one or two days in the study to calm her mind.” Mr. Park said as they walked to the dining room. “I’m sure she’s okay now, Mr. Park.” Kai said and Mr. Park smiled.

A couple minutes later, Subin walked down the staircase as she already changed her clothes. “Good morning, miss.” Mr. Park said and she greeted him back. “Are you going to work today?” kai asked and she nodded, “I need to finished several things, including this one.” Subin said and Kai nodded.

Subin sighed as she sat in her office, the investors, shareholders, and even the employees have been asking her and made some speculations about her marriage. The stocks dropped a few points and the gossip has spread around the business world. She doesn’t know what to do. She just need to protect him.
