Suho refreshes his instagram home page just to see a photo of a random cat pop up. He raises his brows when he sees that Luhan was the one who posted it, saying he gave the cat a ribbon. 

"I'm hungry," Chanyeol announces. "Do we have any money? Oh, let's invite Youngjae. I'll fetch him."

"Chanyeol," Suho says, interrupting. Chanyeol is sitting by the desk, staring at the computer screen, a few meters away from Suho. When he doesn't reply, Suho stretches his leg out and pokes Chanyeol on the back with his toe, which makes Yeol flinch a little. 

"What?" he asks. 

"Luhan has a cat," Suho says. Chanyeol turns away from the screen at that to give Suho a confused look. Suho adds a comment below the cat pic and shows his phone to Chanyeol. "Luhan doesn't have a cat." 

"Oh, he wrote back," Chanyeol says, seeing an orange dot on Suho's screen. Suho looks at the screen and Chanyeol jumps from his chair onto Suho's bed, to look over his friend's shoulder. "It's the latest development," he reads Luhan's comment out loud. Both of them just stare at the screen for a few seconds, then Chanyeol scrambles towards his own bed and digs his phone out from under the pillow. Suho sees him add a comment to Luhan's pic as well.

And then, a few seconds later, Kris joins in the conversation.

"He added a new pic!" Chanyeol practically shouts, barreling into the room with Youngjae in tow a few minutes later. Suho spins on the chair, jumps off of it and joins Chanyeol by his side to see the new photo. It shows a cat wearing a bowtie again, but it's a different cat from the first one.

"Chen doesn't seem surprised at all," Suho points out, reading Chen's comment that says '#suitup'. "Seems like we're the only ones not informed." 

"How could they not inform us?!" Chanyeol shouts, outraged, as he furiously types in a comment. 

"What's happening again?" Youngjae asks, feeling dizzy from all the commotion that Chanyeol is making. He stands next to Suho, looks at the photo, and awws. "I've always wanted a cat!" 

"Same," Suho mutters. 

"Why isn't he replying?" Chanyeol asks. "You know what, I'll just call him." 

With that, he turns on his heels and goes to call Luhan. There's not really much space in their dorm room, so he can't go far, but he still stands facing the wall, so that he has at least some privacy. Suho and Youngjae snort at him. 

"We're going out to eat tonight, want to come with us?" Suho asks Youngjae as Chanyeol stands in the corner. 

"Yeah, sure!" Youngjae exclaims happily. 

"He's not picking up!" Chanyeol shouts. "I don't like to be so detached from them. I talked to Eun yesterday and today and she didn't say anything about cats—oh , there's a reply!" 

"Language," Suho says, but automatically joins Chanyeol at his side to peer down at a comment Kai has left. "Wait, what?"

Chanyeol laughs out loud.

"Stop posting these," Kris says, snatching Luhan's phone out of the boy's grip. Luhan startles, but doesn't move because there's currently a cat falling asleep on his lap, and the first rule of the universe says: if there's a cat or a puppy sleeping on you, you can't move. So he just gasps at Kris and sends him an angry frown. 

"My account is private," Luhan reminds him. "Are you angry because someone might found out I kidnapped all the cats, or because you're getting attached to them and you don't want to acknowledge that?" 

"Both," Kris replies, scrolling through Luhan's instagram. He then looks at the cat that's lying on Luhan, and sighs loudly. "He's just so cute." 

"I know. We should call him Kyo." 

"Because he's cute?" 

"Yes." 

The cat stirs, lifts his head, and stares into nothing for a few seconds. Then he stands up on Luhan's lap, shakes his head, and gets off of Luhan to sit down next to the boy. Luhan pats him on the head, then behind his ear, and Kyo starts to purr. 

Kris stares at him. He sits down in front of the couch, his face directly in front of the cat, and hums loudly. The cat opens his eyes curiously, Luhan still petting him, and stretches his paw towards Kris's face. He puts his paw on Kris's nose and just lets it stay there, which makes both Luhan and Kris snort. 

"You were the chosen one!" Luhan practically shouts in his best Obi-Wan voice. Kris looks up at him with a smirk, as if asking him why Luhan's so dumb.

Luhan leans forward, takes the cat's head between his palms, and shakes a little in excitement. "Sooo cute," he says, lowering his voice. Kris starts laughing when he sees Kyo's face, all mushy, and tells Luhan to stay like that. 

"I'll take a picture," Kris announces. Kyo meows in annoyance and changes his position a little, as if ready to run if neccessary, but Kris takes a photo before the cat can do that, and when he shows it to Luhan, they both burst out laughing.

It takes a few days, but you manage to find homes for every single cat that Luhan had taken in. He and Kris have a hard time parting with some of them, but Kyo is right there to remind them that they did a good thing.
