"Here," Kai says, appearing on your right and placing a big mug of coffee next to you. Then, before you even have a chance to thank him, he's walking away as quietly as he can, and you wouldn't be surprised if he actually uses his werewolf powers to do that, because he's really stealthy. You watch him walk towards the TV, a smile playing on your lips. He plops down onto the couch, your eyes pinned to the back of his head. He's always quiet and considerate when you study; you tend to forget that he's even around. He only reminds you of that when he brings you something to eat or drink, or reminds you that you haven't changed your position in the past hour and forces you to stand up, walk around the table three times, and only then leaves you be. 

You kind of want to throw flowers at him and sing serenades to him. You never thought he could be so...calm. Soft. And patient. And understanding. Even before you got together, he was always considerate when you studied, sure. He'd bring you food back then as well, but now it's more intimate. You're alone in his apartment and he's doing everything not to disturb you, but also enjoys your company. You know for a fact that he likes the sound of your fingers turning the pages in your book and the scent of coffee lingering in the air when you're at the loft; werewolves don't need coffee, so he usually doesn't even drink it if you aren't around. 

You look down at your books. You try to read the next sentence, but truthfully, you don't feel like it anymore. Kai turns on the TV (it's almost on mute, but loud enough for you to hear some hushed voices) and you take a few sips of your coffee. Then you stand up and walk towards the couch.

Kai looks at you, his brow quirking.

"Finished?" he asks curiously. 

"Not quite," you reply, placing your left knee next to Kai's right tight and straddling his lap. His face when you do that makes you laugh a little, because all of a sudden he looks like a literal puppy. Your hands travel to his neck out of habit and you smile down at him, making yourself comfortable on his lap; you feel Kai's warm fingers slide under the hem of your t-shirt, barely grazing the skin there but still making goosebumps appear all over you. You feel a pleasant, cold shiver run down your spine and you let yourself stare into Kai's eyes for a while longer. His pupils are dilated, making it almost impossible to see the dark, whiskey-brown of his irises. 

Your fingers travel up his neck to cup his face. You feel his jaw shift a little when he sees you lean down towards him. Tilting your head to the side just so, you place a soft kiss on his lips. He breathes out a sigh, his fingers twitching slightly on your skin, making you move your hips a tiny bit on an instinct. He opens his mouth, taking control, and you feel his warmth seeping through you. It's delicate at first, a barely-there touch, but it makes you crave more. You slip in your tongue, Kai's blunt fingers trailing across your skin; you move your hips again, closing the distance between you two completely, your s fully flush against Kai's torso. His grip tightens around you, as does yours, and you kiss him with more fervor now, with more depth. You listen into Kai's tiny gasps and sighs, and you feel your own lungs burn a little when you realize that you've been kissing for a few seconds non-stop. You gasp out for air when you feel that you can't breathe anymore, and Kai uses that moment to drag his teeth down your neck, evoking a loud, cut-off moan from you. You squeeze the back of his neck, kneading your fingers against it as your thumb brushes across Kai's cheek, dragging through the coarse stubble. He begins to on the stop between your neck and your jaw and you let out another whine, enjoying the pressure. Your hips move on their own, pushing down, and vibrations go through your whole body; Kai growls low in his throat.

With your eyes still closed, you force him to tilt his head up and you trap him in another kiss, into his mouth hungrily. He answers by arching up towards you, his growl still vibrating through his whole body. It's wet, slick, and warm. You feel him with every nerve of your body, with your whole skin and your whole being. You feel the material of his jeans on your bare thighs, his hardness, the heat of his firm torso and the blunt pressure of his fingers all over your back. You feel the smooth skin of his neck and the slightly prickly line of his hair, the curve of his jaw and the warmth of his breath. He smells like woods and soap. 

Your lips keep on melting together. You open your mouth, he slips his tongue in; you moan, he moans back, you tilt your head to the side, he does it too, so that his lips never leave yours. You're gasping for air, but you're enjoying it all too much to possibly stop now, to pull away, so you breathe into each other's mouths, hotness pooling all over your face. You can feel your lips going sore from all the touching, delicate pressure and , and you know that they're probably red by now. You feel Kai move a bit abruptly and then he catches your bottom lip between his teeth. 

You open your eyes to see him looking at you. It only lasts half a second, but his eyes shine deep red; it's a barely visible, bloody red rim around his blown pupils, but it makes you want. Arching into him, you let out a whine and embrace him. 

His hands are around your waist now. You lift yourself off of him for just a short moment, making him gasp in surprise and worry, like you've just made a move to get away. He tries to catch you by placing his right hand over your right cheek, and you kiss him deeply when he pulls his head back to follow your movements. Then you straddle him again, moving your hips. 

You both gasp for air at the same time. With your nose brushing and your fingers piercing through each other's skin, you open your eyes, lips prickling in the best way possible. Kai's mouth is almost as red as his eyes now, you notice; it makes you proud. His eyes snap down at your own lips and he lets out a hum of content, leaning in to kiss you again, a bit softer this time. 

You hum into it.

You know you're in too deep when you write 1k of them making out lol.

Regarding the hiatus I mentioned at the beginning of this chapter: my final exams are coming up. RALF will be updated regularly because I've written enough chapters in advance for it to be, and my lovely beta will post them for me like she always does on Saturdays, but I won't be on aff as much as I am right now, so that means it might take some more time for me to reply to your comments/messages etc. If I don't reply to your PMs or wall posts or comments, it just means I haven't seen them yet or haven't had time to reply. I know that you'll understand and I have nothing to worry about XD 

I'll be 100% back by the end of May or sometime around that. Until then, I hope that you'll enjoy all the chapters I've prepared for you. Starting from chapter 57, there's gonna be a long chaptered arc that I feel you'll enjoy. I really look forward to hearing your thoughts about it hahah.
