It's raining really hard and Sehun doesn't have an umbrella. He'd hoped he'd make it in time for the bus to take him to his apartment, but he misses it by mere seconds and not even his dramatic bus chase helps him stop the driver from driving away, so by the time he decides to hide from the rain, he's soaking wet. He enters the first building he sees that's open at this hour - a bar - and shakes his head like a wet dog, sprinkling the water around him. The bartender sends him a sorry look to which Sehun replies with a nod, a lieu of greeting. He decides to wait until the rain passes and chooses a small booth to sit in.

It's a Friday night, so there's quite a lot of people in the bar. It's fairly loud and there's some music in the background. Sehun pulls out his phone, turns on the internet, and takes a selfie on snapchat. He's still dripping with water, so he takes a few napkins from the table and stars wiping his hair, face and neck; he's always running hot, so the water will soon disappear from his skin, but he doesn't really want to make everything around him wet, too. And water dripping from his hair is not helping. 

People are dancing on the dance floor. He watches some of them out of boredom. He looks down at his phone to see that Amber has messaged him on snapchat.

He snorts. Then he sees that Tao has left him a video reply and opens it just to hear - and see - Tao and a guy Sehun doesn't know (but guesses is the infamous Jihoo the bully) sing Taylor Swift's "Shake it off" together. Very loudly. It's a good thing the bar is quite loud, too. 

He puts his phone down and looks around a little. He enjoys watching people sometimes, especially when they don't know he's looking. He lets his eyes linger on a few people. Especially the big group of friends laughing obnoxiously at a joke one of them says. 

Damn, he misses you all.

His eyes stop on a girl who just sat down at the bar. She's still wearing a coat, so she's obviously just gotten here. What catches his attention is her hair. It's long, smooth, and completely pink at the tips. He might be staring a little. The girl takes off her coat and hangs it on the back of the barstool she's sitting on; she turns to the side when she hears her name being called and waves to someone. Sehun follows her gaze and sees another girl with colorful hair - this time with dark blue tips. She points at the toilet and then says "Be right back" to her pink-haired friend and disappears in the toilet.

Sehun finds himself weirdly mesmerised by the girl's hair. He likes the color.

He looks down at his phone when he hears it buzz with a message. 

"Can I buy you a drink?" 

He looks up. There's a man at the Pink Tips' side, and he's slurring. He's way too close to the girl and even Sehun can see that; she arches back and away from him, sending him a polite, but distressed smile. The dude is in his thirties, probably, and is wearing a suit. He's also very red in the face. 

"No, thank you," the girl says. Sehun can hear her voice trembling a little by the end of the sentence. "I'm here with my friend." 

The dude looks around, making a show out of it. Then he looks at Pink Tips again, raising his brows. He sits down next to her, on the barstool, and turns towards her, stretching his hand to put it on the girl's knee; Sehun feels his stomach churn. The girl literally jumps when she feels the guy touch her and her heart almost beats out of her chest; Sehun can hear it hammering from adrenaline. 

Sehun stands up from his table just as the girl moves in her seat so that her knee is as far away from the man as possible. 

"I said no," she says, her voice scared. That's the exact moment Sehun chooses to stand next to her with a huge smile on his lips. 

"Hey babe!" he says a bit too loudly. The girl jumps in her seat once again and snaps her head at him in terror. Her eyes are as wide as saucers at this point. Sehun puts a hand around her shoulders, hoping it doesn't violate the girl's personal bubble even further, and smiles down at her. "Sorry I'm late, the rain totally got me," he says, still smiling. Then he looks at the man. "That a friend of yours?"

He lets his eyes flash blue. The man's own eyes go completely wide and he slides down the barstool in a matter of seconds, his breathing unsteady. He walks past Sehun and the girl, stumbling, his eyes not leaving Sehun's face even once, and he heads for the door. Sehun can hear him mumbling something under his breath. 

Once the dude is out of the bar, Sehun takes his arm off the girl and quickly makes some space between them. 

"Sorry," he says, crossing his arms over his chest. Pink Tips opens slightly. "I thought you could use some help." 

She's staring at him. , she's cute, Sehun thinks, and discovers that his heart is doing weird things. He frowns. 

"Uh, yes," the girl says, nodding. She frowns at him, mouth still open. Yes, definitely cute. "I mean...yes." She's still shaking a little and Sehun can see that she's pretty shocked after the whole thing. He's not surprised. He looks up when he sees someone come over, and his eyes meet with the other girl's, who's just come back from the bathroom. She's waving her hands around, drying them, and is eyeying him curiously. 

"Who do we have here?" she asks. Pink Tips turns to look at her. 

"Hi," Sehun says, smiling tightly at her. "I'm just a passerby." 

"Wendy," Pink Tips says to Blue Tips, "this man is my knight in shining armor."

Blue Tips - Wendy - lets out a loud 'ohh!' and looks at Sehun in a completely new light.

"Ah, yes, well," Sehun says a bit shakily and then proceeds to do the best hair flip he can, "I can totally pull off the looks, that's for sure."

Wendy and Pink Tips both laugh at that. Pink Tips sounds a bit hysterical, and the three of them all freeze and look at her when she lets out this really nervous laughter. Then Pink Tips snorts at her own antics and Wendy and Sehun follow. 

"I'm Irene," Pink Tips says at last, stretching her hand towards Sehun. "Thanks for protecting my virtue." 

"Sehun," he introduces himself, shaking her hand. "At your service." 

"If he's the knight and you're the damsel in distress, what does that make me?" Wendy asks.

"The fairy godmother that buys drinks," Irene replies, making a puppy face at her that kills Sehun instead. Wendy looks ready to argue at first, but then she shrugs, tilting her head to the side. 

"Sounds fair," she says. "Sir Sehun, do you mind joining us?" 

"With great pleasure," Sehun replies, bowing at them slightly and smiling wider than he has in days.

I absolutely love the Irene x Sehun combo, so here you have it. We'll see how this turns out XD
