In a few hours, dusk had begun to take over the city of Seoul. Until now, the rain had been playing a sort of push and pull game with the sky. It poured heavily an hour ago, but now it was just a small shower. The chirping of birds filled the soothing atmosphere of Seoul as the city was cloaked in the mesmerising evening view where the sky was a mix of different colours.
As for the two lovers who'd recently reunited with each other after an extremely long time of hide and seek, they were enjoying themselves. The both of them agreed that they didn't find any use staying for the last hour of school. In the mess they were in with their uniforms completely drenched in rainwater it was better for them not to go anyway.
Jongin wanted to spend the remaining of this whole day with Do Kyungsoo. He had his fingers tightly interlaced with the older boy's, and he definitely had no intention of letting go. He wasn't being overprotective, it wasn't anything like that. He was just scared, that if he let go, then Kyungsoo would disappear. It sounded like a nonsensical reason, but Jongin wasn't going to simply ignore it.
The two of them ran through the rain together, as if they were two idiots in love, which they were. Jongin had persuaded the older boy to come over to his place, since it was nearer to school anyway. They could get changed there and grab something to eat. However, the both of them stopped when Jongin abruptly turned around to face Kyungsoo who was staring at him with a questioning look.
"Yah, what did you stop for?" Kyungsoo blinked.
Without saying a word, Jongin took off his blazer, pushing it roughly to the boy. "Here, take it. You aren't wearing yours today, right? What do you think I'm going to do if you get sick, Do Kyungsoo?" A corner of his lips curved up before he inched closer to Kyungsoo so he could drape his blazer over his shoulders securely.
Kyungsoo widened his eyes when he felt the piece of clothing on him. "Then what about you? You need it more than I do, so take it back! Come on!" He tried to take ir off, but his attempts failed because Jongin swept his face in to land a chaste peck on his lips.
"K-Kim Jongin..."
"Let's go now, shall we?"
Jongin whispered before dragging the older boy along with him, swinging their hands back and forth.
The fish market was bustling, as usual. Jongin's mother's friends were too busy attending to tourist and customers at their stalls, so they didn't notice him. It was a good thing though, because it meant that they wouldn't stick their noses in his business or press him with any questions. He led Kyungsoo through the market, his hand still gripped on his while the two of them walked silently.
When the both of them stopped in front of the restaurant, the place was closed. The lights were off and there didn't seem to be any activity coming from inside, which sparked Kyungsoo's curiosity on why it was so quiet.
"Why's there no one here?" Kyungsoo asked as he watched Jongin unlock the entrance. "I thought your mom would be managing the restaurant by now."
"Oh, she went back to Jeju to visit some family. I couldn't go because, you know, school." I didn't want to anyway, because I wanted to spend more time with you. Jongin shrugged nonchalantly, ushering the older boy inside. "So she told me to close the restaurant for a few days until she comes back, which means the guys get their days off too. Apparently, she doesn't trust me with managing the place even for a few days. Sounds like a bunch of bullcrap, doesn't it?"
Jongin threw his bag aside and proceeded up the stairs, but of course he didn't want to take his eyes off Kyungsoo. So he turned around to find the shorter boy following after him up the stairs like an excited little puppy. It was a lie to say the boy hadn't caused his heart to flutter.
"Bullcrap? I think she did the right thing. I wouldn't want you to take care my shop too, if I owned one, that is." Kyungsoo replied, his laughs filling the air around them. Hearing this, Jongin couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. "Hey Jongin, be careful. I don't think you should be walking up the stairs backwards. What if you fall?"
"Then you'll catch me."
At his witty reply, Kyungsoo couldn't help but scoff. "Please, you can make your way falling down the stairs."
"Tsch, as expected. You haven't changed ONE bit, Do Kyungsoo." Jongin shook his head. "But that's good, because that's what I like about you."
He heard Kyungsoo shout at him about how cheesy his earlier sentence was, and how he'd almost gotten goosebumps. They entered Jongin's room shortly after, where they started to dry themselves from the rain earlier. Jongin tossed the senior boy a towel as he dried his own hair. He slung his own towel on his shoulder and stood in front of Kyungsoo who was busy drying himself.
Kyungsoo's eyes were closed when he was drying his hair, so he didn't notice Jongin standing in front of him with a look on his face which showed how deeply in love he'd fallen for him. After a few seconds, Jongin was met with Kyungsoo's wide, attractive eyes.
There, he was at it again. Kim Jongin was at it again another game of skinship.
Kyungsoo wasn't even able to dry himself properly because the younger boy had snatched his towel away from him. But his next action was what made his heart thump rapidly against his chest. This wasn't rare now that Jongin had entered his li
