A/N: Title is kind of random. I couldn’t think of a good title so I translated “JaeGi” using Google Translate and a Korean-English dictionary app that I have on my phone then I got this. LOL. Also, I know Irene's the leader of Red Velvet but for purposes of this fic's pairing, Seulgi has to be the 'leader' in her circle of friends. ^^ Anyway, please enjoy~

"What makes a place special?" This is the theme of class 4A's bonus project for their Art class. The school year is ending soon and the class' teacher, Jo Kwon, is kind enough to give those who need additional grades another chance.

"You're going to prepare a short video that will perfectly explain your answer. I'd prefer it if you'd use less words and focus on using videos or pictures to answer the question. At most, you can use fifteen words and that's it. I think anything longer than a minute won't be graded."

The students expressed their discontent with the challenging rules but Kwon insisted, "This is a bonus project to raise your grades so I won't have any of your complaints. You're free to not do it if you think you don't need the additional grade."

Seulgi considers this but she knows her friends won't stop bugging her so she decides to do it anyway.

"For the grouping... it'll be in pairs—"

Everyone starts grouping themselves only to be disheartened again upon hearing Mr. Jo's choice of groupings. "Pairs will be decided via drawlots."

"Aww. Sir, please at least let us work with our friends!" Bambam says.

Their teacher smiles, "I told you, you're free to forego this. I've prepared the drawlots. Every piece of paper has a written code and whoever shares the same code as you is your partner for this project."

The man passes a bowl half-filled with folded papers and each student gets a piece.

Once everyone has drawn, Kwon asked his students to start finding their partners – a process that proved to be chaotic. Those who were lucky enough to end up with their friends celebrated and jumped around while those who were paired with people they weren't close to sat quietly.

"I got 'velvet'," Seulgi worriedly tells her friends who were already paired with each other – Wendy with Irene and Yeri with Joy.

"Velvet? I don't think I heard anyone say that code yet..." Irene comments.

"Did someone say velvet?" Jackson approaches the ladies.

"Did you get the same code?" Seulgi excitedly asks. She's good friends with Jackson since the latter is the class clown and he's technically everyone's friend so she wouldn’t mind working with him.

"Actually... I got Mark. Bambam got Yugyeom and Jinyoung got Youngjae. So..."

"Jaebum?" Wendy asks in place of Seulgi.

"Y-yes." Jaebum approaches Seulgi, showing her the piece of paper bearing the same code as hers.

"Ooooh, daebak! Class president and vice president working together!" Mr. Jo exclaims seeing the two standing side by side. "This should be interesting!"

'Yeah right.'

While Seulgi internally sulked, her friends giggled at the side seeing her standing beside Jaebum. Since their sophomore year, they've been pairing the two every chance they get. Aside from the fact that the two are capable of leading the class because of their capabilities, determination and strong personalities, Jaebum and Seulgi were elected as class officers because virtually everyone in their class 'ships' them.

"You can use the remaining time to discuss your concepts and plans," Mr. Jo tells the class before turning to the class president, "I'll leave it to you to ensure that no one gets to leave until dismissal time. Okay?"

"Yes, Sir."

"Great. Good luck on your project."

After their teacher left, some students busied themselves with useless chatters while those who are interested in the activity used their time productively.

"Uhh, so should we talk about the project?" Jaebum awkwardly asks as he takes a seat beside Seulgi.

"Do we need to do this?" The girl covers realizing how rude she might have sounded. "I mean... I don't think you need the extra grade..."

"And you don't too but..." Jaebum turns to look at the others then he looks back at Seulgi. "Everyone's participating; we can't back out now. It'll be our final project so why not do it?"

"I understand." Seulgi smiles at Jaebum who does the same. Although the former still feels uneasy around the latter because of them being the other students' "OTP", working with Jaebum has always been fun and fruitful and Seulgi knows they'll come up with something nice as always.

Not wanting to cram, Jaebum suggested that they start working on the project right away. "I think we should get footages of common places – those that we frequent or are familiar with. I can do the video editing."

"Why ordinary places?" Seulgi ponders for a while before saying, "Ah! Something like 'an ordinary place becomes special when your special someone is with you'?"

"Bingo."

"Okay! Let's get the footages this coming weekend then I'll leave it all up to you."

"Sure!"

Both feel excited now that they're on the same page. Maybe they owe it to the countless of projects and activities that they've worked on but Seulgi and Jaebum seemed to have mastered working together. All the uneasiness they're feeling disappears once they start discussing the task and the working experience has always been satisfactory.

Seulgi once asked Wendy what the reason might be behind the awkward feelings with Jaebum and the latter said, "Maybe you just like him. When you're not working, you can't help but think of your feelings subconsciously. These thoughts disappear when you start working which explains why you feel less awkward around him. You really enjoy working with him, don’t you?"

"That's 'cause he's someone I can rely on."

"You look happy when you're with him and you trust him a lot. Now tell me this is not more than just a working relationship."

"I don't like him; why are you guys insisting that I do?"

"Because your face and your actions show you do."

Jaebum also talked to Mark about it and got the same answer. Unlike Seulgi, however, he admits he likes her and he treasures every moment they spend together. He doesn't mind staying after school hours to work on projects and other tasks as long as he gets to spend mor
