 “Yo, wazzup!” Jackson puts his arm around your shoulders.

“Yo,” you respond coolly, silently wishing that your friend didn’t notice that you almost flinched at his touch.

With how Jackson’s smiling and already joking around with you, you relax a little knowing that he didn’t. Whew…

Oh, how you missed this. You used to hang out with Jackson all the time, fooling around like you two didn’t care about what others might think. However, since your co-workers began teasing you about liking Jackson, you started feeling uncomfortable around him.

They pointed out that you’re always just around Jackson then go missing when he isn’t around. So you started avoiding him hoping that by doing so, your friends will stop making fun of you. They didn’t.

Well, at least it’s just me they’re teasing…

You’re somehow relieved that your friends make fun of you only when Jackson’s not around. You knew that if they poked fun at Jackson too, it’ll be the end of you.

You know him too well and you know just how he’d react: he’ll laugh at them first then go along with the joke. He’ll probably even call you cheesy names and go hugging you or even pretending to want to kiss you.

You shake your head to stop yourself from thinking any further. Jackson, who was surprised by your sudden movement, stops talking and looks at you with a confused expression.

“Oh, sorry, I…” You search inside your head for a good excuse but couldn’t find any.

“Is something wrong with your neck?” Jackson asks.

“Huh? …Yeah! Hahaha… haha…” you answer and laugh with embarrassment.

“Ha-haaa~~~!!!” Jackson lets out his signature high-pitched laugh then pats your head. “So cute!”

Everyone cheers after hearing the announcement of your unit’s head, Jiyeon.

While others are busy asking things about the said trip, Jackson butts in, “Can I sit beside my friend here?”

He circles his arm around yours, “And can I please sleep in the same room as her, too?”

Friend… His f– WAIT WHAT? You were busy sulking over the term he used to refer to you when you suddenly realized what he just said.

Your boss chokes at Jackson’s question but tries to maintain composure, “Well, you can sit beside her but not sleep in the same room as her. We’ll be having a pajama party in our room, you know…”

Jiyeon looks at you then smiles, “Right?”

“Y-yes.”

“Good! So I’ll take it that everything’s clear with everyone now. Let’s just wait for the official announcement from the office of our group head, okay?”

“Yes, Ma’am!!!”

You glance at Jackson who’s now busy joking around with the others. And you thought he’ll be disappointed that part of his request got rejected…

“Are you jealous~?” a male voice teases you.
