Sehun grew more and more worried as the hours crawled by slowly. Luhan had been rushed into an emergency room the moment they had arrived and since then, no doctors had come out to inform the alpha of his mate's state. His parents sat close to the anxious male, his petite mother gripping his hand gently as she tried to to calm her son.. and herself.

"I just don't get it.." Sehun muttered to himself from time to time, a deep frown etched onto his face."Why..and how did he fall? And why didn't he call for me?" 

So many unanswered questions lingered in the air.. 

The door flung open many hours later, revealing the very same doctor that had treated Luhan before. Her hands were shaky and her face pale, almost as white as her coat.

"Young Sehun, we need to talk somewhere where people cannot hear us." She told the Ohs as she stepped to them, taking in the worry that burnt in the air around them."He is alright for now, but that is not what I would like to talk to you about.." 

Sehun followed the small omega obediently, shooting nervous looks back at his anxious parents. None of them knew what was going on: if Luhan was alright, why did the doctor look so bothered, so shaken up? Before, she had never looked that troubled.

Reaching her small office, the wolves walked inside nervously, each of them sitting on one of the chairs there. Sehun leant ahead, a sigh escaping him as he glanced at the doctor.

"We cannot be sure yet, but it seems like Luhan is not as ordinary as one would think.." the woman said finally, lips curling into a bitter smile."While we can only assume things for now, there is a chance that he may bear a power: which means that Sehun bears one, too."

"Power?" Sehun questioned, not quite sure about what she had meant. No matter how hard he tried to rack his brain: he had no recollaction of hearing about wolves with powers. Of course, he had tales and legends as a child, but they were not true. They were merely the frail fragments of other's imaginations. 

"Don't try to think so hard about it, they are hidden too well for normal wolves to spot them. Because of that, I can't really tell you a lot about such things: not until we are sure about Luhan's power. I am quite sure that his heat had evoked his power..."

"But even if.. if he does have a power, whatever that is..." Sehun did not believe one word of the one. After all, it was just not normal to have a mate who was capable of doing things others were not. Actually, so far, it had been quite unheard of.
