Sehun couldn't sleep.

He kept on staring at the moon from his window, wondering if he would ever meet his mate. He had been on the search for so long with such little luck.. It was nearly maddening. Loneliness was gradually nibbling on his sanity, crushing his ever-so hopeful heart.

His father was a someone that humans would call a policeman. Most of the time, he worked on cases that involved cruelty against omegas. A sister of his had been abducted as a mere babe: she had been found only days later, but it had left its mark on him greatly. He was capable of doing anything for the weak in distress... 

Sehun often felt proud of his father. He wanted to grow up into a man similar to the older alpha: he wanted to protect those in need. He had the sheer strength for that, something that he was thankful for. He was capable of fighting down three others at once, and with the brute force most wolves possessed, it was quite the accomplishment. Only, he lacked control.

He was quick to loose his calm, rapid to act and snap his enemy's neck with just one move. He was hot-blooded, eager to just strike without thought. He was thrilled by the adrenaline that coursed through his veins when he encountered tricky situations.

Because of that, he could not be trusted fully, not yet at least.

He still lacked the most important element, one that only one wolf could give him: the need to stay alive.

Surely, he had his family. He adored his tiny mother whose cooking was better than any five-star restaurant's at the planet. He adored her sweet scent and hug, her sheer presence.

He looked up at his father: he cherished the man for being such a big influence to young alphas all around the county. 

Yet, he never actually felt the need to live for them. They would have definitely been sad if they lost him, but he was just a son of many. He could always be replaced. Families shared tight bonds, but they were frail: they were easily snapped by lies or even catastrophes.

Sehun would have needed someone else to tie him to life: a mate.

He was just so eager to finally have a little omega. He wanted to kiss them, hold them and love them until their sweet eternity would end. He wanted to see his mate heavily pregnant, bearing their younglings...

The alpha shook his head with a bitter sigh. It was lovely to wonder of such happenings but what was it's use when he couldn't even bind a face to it. When he closed his eyes, trying to think of what his omega would be like... h
