Parallel LinesKai was a good driver and I had to admit it, I also had to admit that giving Kris my number was the biggest mistake on earth because the swarm of texts that came through to my phone was enough for me to shatter the phone completely.
“You know,” He smiled as he concentrated on the road, “You look beautiful this evening,”
I laughed, “Thanks,”
“No compliment for me?” He raised an eyebrow,
I shrugged, “You don’t need it, and your ego is already inflamed enough,”
“Ah too true,” He laughed,
“So where are we going?” I asked,
He smirked, “The Royal’s,”
“The club?”
He nodded, “Yeah, you see, I like to dance,”
“Oh really?” I tilted my head to the side, “I would have never guessed,”
He laughed, “Yeah well, I can tell you’re the dancer too,”
“Ah guilty as charged,” I muttered before my phone went off, I sighed, “Sorry,” I answered the phone, “What?” I snapped,
“Don’t use that tone with me,” Kris snapped back at me, “What are you doing right now?”
I rolled my eyes, “I’m painting a portrait of the mighty Kricasso,”
“Very funny Sara,” Kris said sarcastically,
I sighed, “I’m in Kai’s car,”
“Oh,” Kris muttered, “So where is he taking you?”
Kai frowned, “Tell that oversized bean pole to get lost,”
“You heard the man,” I smirked, “Kris, I’m totally fine on my own and if I hear my phone go off one more time and it’s one of you, I will smash the phone,”
“Sara you –” Kris started but I hung up on him, turning my phone off and slipping it into the pocket of my shorts.
Kai laughed, “Clingy friends,”
“I wouldn’t say that we’re friends,” I admitted to him, “I’d say that they’re stalkers who are the bane of my existence,”
“What’s with you and Luhan?” Kai suddenly asked, “You two sound like you’ve met before,”
I shook my head, “No,” I lied, “It’s just that he gave me the cold shoulder so… I tend to like ignoring him and his icy fortress of solitude,”
“Ah yeah,” Kai nodded in understanding, “The ice prince,”
I hummed, “That’s him,”
The topic died after that leaving Kai to pull into the Royal’s parking lot, where he cut the engine off and shut the door before jogging around the other side to open the door for me, taking my hand and helping me out of the car before walking alongside me into the club.
“Drink?” He asked,
I shook my head, “It’s better I don’t,”
“Alright then,” He laced his fingers through mine even though I didn’t give him permission to and pulled me towards a booth, forcing me to sit beside him,
I raised an eyebrow at him, “Are you really interested in me Kai or is there something else?”
“I’m interested,” He frowned, “It’s not every day you get to meet a girl on the same wave length as you,”
I sighed, “Yeah right,”
“No it’s true!” He took my hand again, “Believe me when I say it Sara,”
I shook my head at him, “You’ve just met me Kai, and you don’t even know me,”
“Then let’s get to know each other,” He suggested
I sighed, “I don’t know… the guys…”
“Don’t need to know,” he ran his thumb over my knuckle,
I hummed, “Alright, but no funny business alright?”
It turns out that Kai is a lot more fun than I thought; in fact I laughed a lot more than I thought I would have.
“Okay stop,” I said not being able to take it anymore, “My ribs hurt enough,”
He smirked, “It’s true though! Milk everywhere!”
I shook my head as I began to laugh again, “Kai!”
“No okay I’ll stop,” He chuckled, “Do you want to dance?”
I smiled at him, “Now we’re talking my language,”
He took my hand and pulled me up and out of the booth, pulling me towards the dance floor, “I hope you can keep up Angel,”
“Kai,” I turned the tables and began pulling him into the crowd, “I’m far from an angel,”
