Change can scare anyone, even those who have been through so much of it.

They just need some reassurance.

That it will all work out in the end.

"So, are you always more submissive in relationships?" Suyeon asked suddenly. They were studying, Hyeonwoo long since asleep, and even though it was the weekend, Suyeon was certainly stubborn on keeping her grades up. In a relationship or not, she still had to get through and provide for her son. Taemin choked on air, trying to keep his volume down so that the five year old in the adjacent room wouldn't be disturbed.

    "E-excuse me?" He managed, getting some water and gulping it down. Suyeon wanted to giggle, but she couldn't help but be curious. "I'm not saying it the way you so obviously took it--" Taemin's face turned several shades darker, "You're totally putting me in charge of this relationship. You're letting me do what I want. So is that normal? I'm curious."

Taemin drank some more water, getting himself comfortable again in his chair. "Well. Yeah. I want you to be comfortable with whatever we do. I don't like making people I care about feel pressured, especially the person I'm in a relationship with." 

    "Oh." Suyeon nodded. That was considerate of him. He was kind of pushy with affection when he got it, but if she said no, he did back off. Excluding that one time with Luhan. But he apologized for that so she'll let it go. 

Taemin's face was less red, but he still squirmed in his seat a little. "Yeah."

       Silence passed between them for a few more minutes, Suyeon attempting to go back to her studies and Taemin still fidgeting, throughly distracted at this point.

"Thank you?" Suyeon tried to make the awkward atmosphere go away. It was really throwing her concentration off. 

     Taemin caught her gaze. "Why does that seem like a question?"

"Because," Suyeon sighed, closing her book. Looks like studying wasn't going to happen tonight. "If i'm not comfortable doing anything, you know I trust you to stop when I say stop? So I wouldn't think that you'd be so cautious or submissive about this."

       Taemin finally gave her a bright smile. "You've come a long way with the whole trust thing."

"How so?" Suyeon asked, noting how Taemin got closer to her with that smile still on his face. She had an idea of where he was going. She'd let him.

    Taemin leaned forward, "You went from not trusting me with even looking at Hyeonwoo, to letting me do this." And he kissed her, one hand gently tilting her head towards him. Suyeon could almost taste the smile on his lips, and couldn't help but lean in a little to the kiss. She couldn't say he wasn't a great kisser. 

She pulled away gently, noting that he did indeed still have a smile on his face, but it was softer and more loving. She flicked his nose playfully. "You brat."

Taemin just shrugged, laughing, "Yeah, but you like it."

     'More than I should but...' Suyeon thought. "I guess." Was her verbal response. 

He just laughed again, standing up and stretching. "Good to know. Let me change, it's late and we should get to sleep." Suyeon blinked a little, surprised to see him go to one of her drawers and pull out a spare change of his own clothes. She decided that for the moment, it wasn' that important and ignored the feeling in order to crawl into bed next to him, falling to sleep with his arms around her.

Throught the next day, her thoughts drifted to Taemin's spare change of clothes. It was such a strange thing to be prevalent in her mind, so she wondered why it was such a big deal. She shrugged it off, heading home after her class was left out. It was Taemin's day to pick up Hyeonwoo, she remembered. The sudden thought made her stop and think about that statement.
Taemin had specific days where he alone would pick up Hyeonwoo. The only other person that did that besides her was Onew, and nowadays he's been replaced by Taemin. The thought did startle her, but she tried to reason with herself. 'Just relax, you're just a little jumpy by finally realizing the amount in which you trust him. Everything's okay...' She told herself, making her way back to the apartment.

 
    To distract herself form the slightly shaking revelation, she decided to do laundry in the basement of the complex. She carried the laundry load down on one hip, carelessly measuring out the amount of detergent needed. The number of time Suyeon had actually done laundry made the process mindnumbing, which was what she really needed right now in her opinion. She sorted through the colors, seeing Hyeonwoo's bright little tshirts to that one bright pink bra she had from high school that still fit and was super nice. She lifted up a dark blue button up, not recongizing it right away but knowing it was a males. Was it Onew's?

    Then another jolt to her mind. It was Taemin's, he had worn it three days ago and carelessly tossed it off when he came home really late, collasping in bed next to her and falling asleep. She shook her head, putting it in the washing machine and slamming it shut. 'Of course he sleeps over, he stays so late most nights that he's going to eventually have clothes to sleep in. Jeans are totally uncomfortable to sleep in. This is fine.' She thought, climbing the stairs back up to the apartment, opening the door and finding her five year old squealing loudly, running around with small thudding footsteps. She counted to five and with heavier larger footst
