24 hours. 1,440 minutes. 86,400 seconds.

One day. It may not seem like a lot.

But just one day can change everything.

Once Hyeonwoo was fully awake and dressed (he insisted on wearing Key's gift), Suyeon brought him downstairs, only to find him gone and in the arms of Mrs. Lee as soon as she entered the kitchen. Suyeon swallowed nervously, but reminded herself it was one day for both her and Mrs. Lee. Come morning Hyeonwoo would be back in her arms.
Morning seemed like such a long ways away as Mrs. Lee waved goodbye (as did Hyeonwoo) and they left the kitchen, leaving Suyeon with the boys.

"So Hyeonwoo is officially not my child for 24 hours." Suyeon sighed, leaning against the counter. "So what's the plan for today?" She looked over at Key and Jonghyun pointedly. The two just smiled widely and Key handed her a cup of coffee. Suyeon hummed in appreciation and made a motion for him to say what he needed to.

"It's just going to be very casual, we're going to eat meat, sing karaoke, and then go to Kai's place and watch the countdown." Key smiled, turning his back on her to look in the refridgerator for coffee creamer. Suyeon nodded absentmindedly.

"Okay sounds good, I think I can-- Wait what was that about karaoke." She looked over at the boys, eyes wide. Onew just ducked behind his cup, Minho shrugged, and Taemin was making a point to not look directly at her.

Jonghyun didn't seem deterred from her slight change of tone, "Oh, come on! It'll be fun!"

Suyeon set her coffee cup down. "You do realize I can't sing, right?"

"No no, everyone can sing-- it's the question of whethter you can sing well!" Key interjected, going over to his own coffee cup and pouring the creamer he found into it.

"Sorry to disappoint, but singing well is not in my plethora of talents." Suyeon said sarcastically.

"Lies!" Onew spoke up, "You sing to Hyeonwoo and it's good!"

She rolled her eyes, "Those are lullabies and everyone sounds good singing those."

Taemin bit his lip to keep from laughing at the exchange, looking back and forth between Suyeon and Onew. He took a sip of his coffee before patting Suyeon's shoulder, saying, "We'll see when it the time comes." He missed Suyeon's sudden pink cheeks, but the others didn't and smiled behind their cups. (Excluding Onew, who just excused himself to change and vague dying noises were heard from his room as everyone else went to get into their clothes for the day.)

He was trying really hard not to stare. He was trying really hard to not be obvious. But unfortunately, once they were all ready to go and headed out, he couldn't help but stare at Suyeon. All Taemin could focus on was how pretty Suyeon looked with her dark hair and her sweater and how her coat exaggerated how small she was-- She was just pretty to Taemin. Too pretty. The group met up with Kai at Pan's Cafe again, getting their coffee from a very friendly barista named Minseok, who Kai seemed to know (honestly, it didn't surprise Taemin-- Kai was one of the nicest people to meet, he usually got along with everyone) but that didn't stop his best friend from noticing Taemin's staring.

"Dude, you're so ing obvious." He hissed under his breath, hitting Taemin's shoulder as they walked a bit behind everyone.

Taemin glared over at Kai, "Shut up and let me be lovesick for one day without your comments."

"Well, at least you own what you are." Kai snickered, earning a hit to the gut from Taemin, before said boy returned to his (creepy) admiring from afar.

Unfortunately for Suyeon, no one forgot about the karaoke part of the day. So there she sat, watching her friends go up and be idiots, before Key insisted that he get a song by himself. He sang very well, and in English, pleasantly surprising everyone.

Onew, to no one's surprise, was very a fantastic singer and had fun singing his cute little pop ballad. Suyeon couldn't help but laugh as he attempted to dance around, all smiles and having to pause for a verse to compose himself for the chorus.

Minho proclaimed to be a rap god, and he was very good, but it was just funny as he did the same thing as Onew, mostly screwing around and getting laughs out of everyone. Suyeon couldn't even remember him saying half of the words, if that.

Jonghyun surprised her. He was amazing, to say the least. Belted out his pop song, moving well to it and had fun from the looks of it.

"Have you ever considered being an idol?" Suyeon couldn't help but ask as Jonghyun sat back down after he finished. He smiled a little.

"Well, yeah, but it's such a risk. Maybe after this year when I graduate." Jonghyun shrugged. She nodded, and the attention was to the last three who hadn't stepped up to the mic yet.

Taemin's excuse was pathetic, but got him out of it. "Not today guys, my throat really hurts. Too much coffee dried it out I think." He coughed into the crook of his elbow for emphasis, and was handed a bottle of water from Minho, officially getting out of singing.

Kai looked over at the group, "Are you sure you want me to go up there after what happened last time?" He asked. Key immediately vetoed him.

"What happened last time?" Suyeon felt extremely out of the loop. Taemin put a hand on her shoulder, squeezing lightly. She cursed herself for feeling her cheeks heat up. Now is not the time to act like a school girl with her first crush!

"Well, long story short, Kai's a dancer, not a singer. He's not bad, but he ends up dancing and last time he may or may not have knocked over a speaker. Complete accident, of course, but still."

Key let a sly grin creep onto his face, "Oh Suyeeeoooon. You know who that means needs to go up~"

Suyeon's arms immediately crossed into an 'X', even making the buzzing sound to accompany the movement. "Nope."

"Pleeease Suyeon? Just a small little song." Key pleaded, pouting his lip out. He wasn't that cute, but it made Suyeon falter a little.

Suyeon shook her head again. "I'm just not comfortable..."

"Please, please! Anything, even a lullaby you sing Hyeonwoo! You don't even have to go up to the mic!" Key promised, and Suyeon bit her lip in consideration.

"I don't
