The next morning I woke up to the sound of my phone beeping. I saw that I had missed 2 messages.

I missed you a breakfast this morning

I smiled at the message. Honestly I missed Mika too. I was so used to warning him about how to act in school. Sometimes I felt like I was the older one.

You need to wake up. I’m going

to be bored in school today

with out you to pick on… come

I rolled my eyes and closed my phone. Stupid Hyunmin… still I couldn’t help but feel a little giddy that he was thinking of me was he went to school. I quickly replied back.

Yah just because I’m not there

doesn’t mean you shouldn’t

remember what I always tell you!

Aish you’ll survive. I’m sure you’ll

be happy to go back to your life with

your fangirls and no on to bother

I got up and washed my face and my teeth. I walked down to the kitchen and I was greeted by Karam’s mother.

“Oh good morning Hyunjae… you don’t want to sleep a little more?” She asked me. I shook my head.

“No I don’t think I can sleep anymore,” I told her.

“Well if you wait a little I will make you some pancakes,” She told me. I shook my head and got up to help her.

“I want to do it. I don’t get to cook my food often. We have a chef at home and he usually does all the cooking.” I told her. It wasn’t that I didn’t know how to cook as it was that I never needed to cook. I just wanted to live normally for once.

“Are you sure? I can make your pancakes if you want me to,” She told me. I smiled at her and nodded.

“I’m positive. No problem really.” I told her. She sighed and washed her hands.

“Well then I’ll go buy some ingredients for dinner then. I’ll be back soon,” She told me. I nodded and soon I was left alone. Karam was still asleep, but I decided to cook him some breakfast too. I got all the ingredients I needed and happily took out a whisk. I always thought a whisk was the best tool in the kitchen. It made a really cool sound when you used it and I just thought it looked interesting. That aside I made the batter and heated up the griddle. I poured the thick liquid on the griddle and loved how it sizzled.

“Are you really that amused by pancakes?” Karam asked from behind me. I laughed at his bed head.

“It’s been a while since I’ve cooked. Nice hair by the way,” I commented, snickering slightly. He ran his fingers through his hair making it worse.

“Well thank you. I was hoping to find my mom, but I’m guessing she left huh?” He commented, walking over to the griddle where I was flipping pancakes.

“Yeah she’s buying stuff for dinner. Wait a little and we can eat breakfast.” I told him. He nodded and started taking out the silverware and juice. As soon as he was done grabbing the syrup and placed it on the table, all the pancakes were done.

“Hopefully I’m not poisoning you,” I joked. He shrugged and placed a pancake on his plate.

“Well if I get poisoned at least I get to miss some more school,” He added, putting syrup on his pancake. I shoved him lightly and we began eating. After we finished eating we were trying to decide who was washing the dishes.

“I cooked you wash,” I demanded. He rolled his eyes.

“I’ll rock paper scissors you for it,” He told me. I shrugged and fortunately for me luck was on my side.

“Ha! Have fun washing!” I told him, going up to my room to check my phone. I found that I missed 3 messages.

Fine take care of yourself sis!

I couldn’t stop reading Hyunmin and Jay’s texts over and over again. Did Hyunmin really care that much about me? This whole time I thought it was just harmless teasing, but could it be that there’s feeling behind it?

“Hey Hyunjae! Let’s go play tennis!” Karam yelled from outside the guest door.

“Sound good!” I agreed. I turned back to my phone and answered quickly.

Cuter? Sadist. You love to

see me suffer. Anyways I’m going

to be out with Karam okay so don’t freak

I don’t know what possessed me to tell Jay that, but I wanted to know about Hyunmin while I was gone. As strange as it may seem I missed his constant teasing. I actually wanted to see him again. I just wanted to be sure that he would be the same when I got back.
