Once Mrs. Nam set down the box in her hand, it was official. She had moved. Sure, everything wasn’t exactly in its proper place yet, but the things were all there.

Coming into the house, Kari closed the door behind her and looked around.

“You picked a good house,” Kari commented.

“I shouldn’t take all the credit. You are the one who suggested it among the others,” Mrs. Nam said back.

Kari looked at the box Mrs. Nam had just brought in and smiled.

“Pictures,” She read aloud and picked up the box.

Heading over to a random, empty space on the floor, she sat down and opened up the box. Mrs. Nam joined her on the floor and each took a handful of pictures from the box.

“A lot of these are Woohyun and I,” Kari said with a laugh as she flipped through the pictures.

Kari was someone that hung out with Woohyun by force. It was a hate relationship at first. Woohyun hated her because she was always over and stealing affection from his mom. The only reason she was over all the time was that Mrs. Nam was her babysitter while her parents worked. Kari hated Woohyun because of the simple fact he was a boy. She grew up and made nice before Woohyun did. It took him another month. When they were both leaving elementary school, they became friends. But still kept the arguing. That is something that exists to this day.

“Oh, look at this one,” Mrs. Nam said holding a photo out to Kari.

She took it and started to laugh. In the photo, were her and Woohyun at the age of seven. Woohyun was getting his face shoved into his birthday cake by Kari. Then there was another photo of Woohyun shoving a handful of cake in Kari’s face.

“We have some memories. That is for sure,” Kari said with a chuckle.

After another hour of memory lane, Woohyun came to the house.

“I came to check out the new house- Kari, hi!”

Woohyun sat next to Kari on the floor and pulled her into a bone crushing hug. When he saw his mom looking at them, he let go and cleared his throat. His mom knew about the feelings he had come to discover about Kari.

“So, are these some old photos?” Woohyun asked and took a pile off the floor.

“Yeah, we’re looking through some photos,” Kari said with a shrug.

Woohyun went through the photos until he found his favorite.

“I love this. The day we ended our foolish ways and hugged. I’m glad that it was captured on camera.”

“So that’s your favorite? I’ll show you mine.”

Kari picked up a photo she had placed behind her and showed it to Woohyun. The two of them on her fifth birthday. Kari had placed Woohyun in a headlock and gave a pretty smile to the camera. Woohyun was glaring up at Kari, not knowing the picture was being taken.

“Seriously? That’s your favorite?” Woohyun questioned.

Kari gave a nod and then Woohyun took her in a surprise headlock.

“Not so fun when you’re the one in the headlock is it?” he asked.

“You’re a boy! Boy’s should be kind and never give headlocks to girls!” Kari yelled from the headlock.

Mrs. Nam laughed as Kari smacked Woohyun and was able to free herself. She tackled Woohyun to the ground and pinned his arms.

“You’re so weak,” she said with a laugh.

Woohyun glared at her before easily freeing himself from the floor and switched it up.

“I’ll leave you two alone,” Mrs. Nam said but they didn’t hear her.

“I’m weak? As if that’s possible. Have you seen my muscles? My abs?” Woohyun asked.

“Show them and I’ll…”

Kari stopped in the middle of her sentence as Woohyun got up and flashed his abs.

“Nam Woohyun! Put that shirt down or else!” Kari threated.

Woohyun just laughed and pulled his shirt back down.

“What would you have done if I hadn’t?” Woohyun inquired.

Kari opened to speak but she realized she had nothing to say. She didn’t know what she was going to do. She took Woohyun’s hand and gave it a smack.

“I should have kept my shirt up,” Woohyun said.

Kari glared down at Woohyun who was not affected by it. He just smiled at her and they soon saw a flash. They turned their heads and saw Mrs. Nam with a camera.

“Look what I found,” she said, “you two are such a cute couple!”

“Couple?” Kari asked.

“Yes, a couple. Smile for the camera!”

Woohyun turned Kari to face the camera and put his arm around her shoulder. Kari’s face turned out puzzled while Woohyun flashed that smile of his. Mrs. Nam showed them the picture and Kari admitted they did look like a cute couple.

“We photograph well together. I believe that means we kiss and make us an official couple,” Woohyun said.

“Okay,” Kari said and gave Woohyun a quick kiss, leaving Woohyun stunned.

“What the…” Woohyun wasn’t sure how to respond.

“You said to kiss. So that’s what happened.”

“I’m the guy! I’m supposed to kiss you!”

“Man up and face the fact that women dominate.”

“No, I won’t.”

Woohyun stubbornly crossed his arms. Kari rolled her eyes.

“It figures. You wouldn’t be Woohyun if you did.”

After thinking over her words, he realized the meaning behind her words.

“You’re saying I’m not a man!”

Kari shrugged.

“Maybe.”

Before Woohyun could get mad, Kari kissed him again. Woohyun decided he’d let Kari kiss him for now and they’d have a talk later about Woohyun being a man.
