Sungyeol barged into his best friends room and shook her until she woke up. SoYoung groaned and sat up in her bed.

“What?” she mumbled, wishing she was still asleep.

Sungyeol didn't answer and just laughed at her bed head. SoYoung knew his reason for laughing and threw her stuffed panda at him.

“Hey! I got you this panda!” Sungyeol said and threw it back on the bed.

“Another reason to throw it at you. Don't laugh at my bed head.”

SoYoung pouted and started trying to fix her hair with her hands. Sungyeol sat on the be and started to mess her hair up as she tried to fix it.

“Grow up,” SoYoung told Sungyeol and pushed him back.

She got up and went over to her mirror to look at her hair. She pouted at the mess on top of her head and the fact that Sungyeol had seen her hair at it's worse.

“Someone is grumpy. Besides, I didn't mean to laugh at your hair. It's hot.”

SoYoung turned back to face Sungyeol and he was struggling to find a way out of what he had said.

“It's hot?” SoYoung asked.

“Well, it's... um...hot can mean... forget it! Hot means hot. My kid brain is speechless.”

SoYoung turned back to look at her bed head and saw Sungyeol coming up behind her in the mirror. He helped her fix her hair while telling her the latest prank that he pulled on his fellow members.

“You put what in the bananas?” SoYoung asked as she started to laugh.

“A little vinegar,” Sungyeol said, “or maybe a lot.”

After SoYoung's hair was fixed, Sungyeol thought she looked so cute. He didn't know what came over him but he kissed her cheek. SoYoung touched her cheek and watched as Sungyeol went over to her bed and hid his face in the pillow. She sat down next to him and took the pillow away, giving his cheek a kiss as well.

“You kissed my cheek.” Sungyeol said as a smile formed on his face.

“And you kissed mine,” SoYoung said smiling just as big as Sungyeol.

“Does that mean...”

“That I like you? Depends, what does your mean?”

“No, I asked you first,” Sungyeol said and poked SoYoung's cheek.

“You didn't fully ask. I fully asked first.”

“Not fair!” Sungyeol said standing up, “you can't do that. I was asking first. It doesn't matter about who finished.”

“Does to!” SoYoung said following Sungyeol's lead and standing up, placing her hands on her hips.

“Does not. Do you like me? Answer me.”

“No, no. Do you like me? You have to answer me.”

Sungyeol shook his head and then followed SoYoung as she left her room.

“Mom!” she called, “Sungyeol...”

He covered and started to tell his version of the story. The two started to argue about it giving SoYoung's mom a headache. She raised her hand to get them to stop and took a minute to listen to the silence.

“Now, would you children like to explain what's going on one at a time? SoYong, you go first.”

Sungyeol went to complain but stopped seeing the look SoYoung's mom gave him. A look telling him that he better not dare to speak when it's not his turn.

“Mom, Sungyeol says that I have to tell him whether I like him because he asked me first but he didn't even ask. He only half asked and I finished his question. Then I asked him whether he liked me back but he won't tell me because he said I asked second. Tell him I asked first.”

“No, tell SoYoung that I asked first and she has to tell me whether she likes me...”

“No tell...”

“Excuse me. Do you hear me? I'm still speaking,” Sungyeol said.

The two started to argue again and SoYoung's mom wished for once these two would act their age.

“Enough!” She yelled.

The immediately stopped talking and looked down.

“To solve this, on the count of three I want both of you to say whether or not you like each other. Both.”

Sungyeol and SoYoung nodded saying that they understood.

“One,” she said and the two lifted their heads up.

“Two,” and they looked at each other.

“Three.”

“I like you,” the two friends said together.

Both were standing there shocked that the other person had said what they had said.

“You do?” they both asked.

“My work here is done,” SoYoung's mom said leaving the friends alone.

Sungyeol went over and pulled SoYoung in a hug.

“I'm glad you feel the same,” he said, “but I still think you should have just told me since I asked first.”

SoYoung rolled her eyes and pushed Sungyeol off of her. He fell backwards onto the floor.

“Just get over it and grow up.”

Sungyeol got up off the ground and hugged SoYoung once again.

“I will once you do.”

“Then I guess we're kids forever.”
