Today I woke up early. Actually I didn’t sleep well, because I almost made Jia cry yesterday. I felt bad. I did my daily routine and I walked downstairs. I ate breakfast and I watched TV with my parents.

In the afternoon, Jia still didn’t walk out of the room once so I checked up on her. Jia was still lying on the couch when I walked in the room. Silently I walked towards her.

“Jia, are you still sleeping?” I asked, but I didn’t get response.

I carefully touched her forehead and she was hot. I quickly called the doctor and I walked to the bathroom for a towel with cold water. I put it on her forehead and my parents walked in.

“Is everything okay?” My mom asked

“Jia has a fever, I think.” I said

“Hurry call the doctor.” My dad said to the maid.

“I already did.” I said

“Why Jia sleeps on the couch?” My mom asked

“Because I don’t want Kris catches a fever.” Jia weakly said and my parents looked at me disapproved.

After 30 minutes the doctor came to check on Jia.

“She only has a little fever. Please let her rest and drink a lot of water. Here are some medicines. Let her take it every 4 hours.” The doctor said and I let the maid to lead him outside.

I let a relieved sigh.

“I’m sorry” Jia weakly said.

“Sorry for what?” I asked

“I let your parents know that I sleep on the couch.” Jia said

“Just rest. We will talk when you feel better. If you need something just call” I said

I stayed in the room until I was sure Jia fell asleep. A maid told me to meet my parents in the study room when I went in the living room. So I walked to the study room and I saw my parents talking to each other.

“Yi Fan, how is Jia?” My mom asked.

“The doctor said she has a fever. She is sleeping right now.” I said

“Did she sleep on the couch all this time?” My mom asked and I awkwardly nodded.

“How can you do that to Jia? I through you are a gentleman.” My mom said while she was looking disapproved at me.

“I am sorry. I will let her sleep on my bed from now on.” I said

“Actually, we have another thing to tell you.” My dad said, changing the tropic.

“Jia parents company doesn’t need our help anymore and Jia earned all the money back that we leant out to her parents company.” My dad said

“Yes, I know that.” I said confused what he wanted to say

“We think it is better to cancel the arrange marriage. We saw Jia is close to Lay and we think they will be a cute and happy couple together.” My mom said

“NO! I don’t want to!” I yelled

“Why? We know you don’t like Jia. If we cancel the arrange marriage you and Jia can find someone you love.” My mom said

“The engagement party hasn’t taken yet so there won’t be much gossip.” My dad said

“It doesn’t matter. I don’t want to cancel it.” I said confirmed

“We really like Jia and we really like her to be our daughter in law, but we know you didn’t feel the same. We would like her to be happy. We know Lay can take care of her very well. So why won’t you let go?” My mom said

“Besides it doesn’t mean she will leave the company. I know she love her job in our company. Maybe we can convince her to stay and work for our company.” My dad said

*Will she really be happier with Lay? Should I really cancel the engagement?* I thought

There was a long silence.

“J-Just gave me o-one week. A-after one week we will let J-Jia choose.” I stuttered

Without any choice they agreed with a sigh.

I called the exo boys to meet in the club tonight after I went out of the study room.
