chapter thirty. the death of me.
(Kai's point of view.)
I'm at base and everybody is running for cover. I don't know why until I hear the sirens go off and then the tower being put into flames. South Korea was under attack. I run over to the hut that is used for first aid. I take cover there as I get a wrap for my wound. As I was running, pieces of the tower fell as they burned and one happened to land on my lower calf. I limped my way to shelter. Everything was happening so fast. All I thought about was my family and friends. I hope to survive to see them again.
I heard a gun shot and then the firing began. Round after round. I then felt a pang on my chest. I saw a whole through the tent and I put my hand on where the pang was felt. I felt a warm, thick liquid seep through. I look down and there was blood everywhere. In moments, I out. Then my thoughts. Then my whole world has come to an end and the last image I see is my lovely family. Then I was gone and breathless.
