Sungyeol was a rich kid who always got what he wanted. His parents always spoiled him, but he wasn't spoiled rotten. He always wanted to help the less fortunate. One of those people he wanted to help was Myungsoo.

Myungsoo always felt trapped at home with abusive parents who always drink and beat him up for no reason. One day he was beaten so bad by his dad, he packed what he could and ran away. When he reached Seoul, he was nothing but a poor little kid as people walked right passed him. He felt lonely, worthless, and unloved. Thats when he met his savior.

Sungyeol POV.

"Thanks for the gift Appa. But I don't really deserve it. I already have a bunch of toys at home." I said to my Appa as we walked out of the toys store with my present.

"You're such a good kid, of course you deserve it. It's your birthday." He pat my shoulder.

"Okay."

"we should get home now, you're Umma is cooking your favorite foods tonight."

"Really?! Yay!!! I will eat alot."

"You need to, you're too skinny." he chuckled as he teased me.

"Whatever you say Appa."

We were walking home when I saw a boy around my age sitting on a piece of cardboard on the sidewalk. He looked miserable just looking at him cry, which for some reason makes me want to cry. Maybe he was a runaway. He looked like he was hungry. In my heart, I knew i needed to help him.

"Appa I will meet you home later, I need to do something."

Myungsoo POV.

Life is so unfair, to have a little kid like me live on the streets like this, begging for money and food like a dirty piece of . What did I do to deserve this? the cuts and bruises from the beatings? Not  to mention the painful memories from that so called "home." I look pathetic just crying like this as people just stare at me. I wish someone would talk to me, but nobody loves me.

"Excuse me." A boy came up to me. He looked rich from what he was wearing. he looked like an angel.

"Yes?"

"Are you ok? "

"Not really." I tried to make this conversation short. I was feeling embarrassed talking to a person like him.

"That . You must be hungry, I will buy you something." my eyes lit up.

"really? arn't you a little young to have pocket money?"

"Well yeah. My parents are rich so I always have money with me just in case. Follow me okay?"

"Okay."

The boy whose name i didn't know bought us nice and hot hotteok, which tasted like heaven is this cold winter day.We were sitting on a bench in a park just eating and not exchanging words. I guess he saw me shivering, so he took off his scarf and wrapped it up around my neck. hopefully he didn't see me blush.

"Thank you so much, I havn't eaten in 2 days."

"2 days?! what happened."

"I ran away from home." i kept munching.

"Why would you run away from home, what about your parents?"

"It's complicated."

"It's okay. Do you have anywhere to stay?"

"No. I will just sleep here."

"What?! I can't let you sleep here  in the cold, you will die of hypothermia! You will stay at my place, my parents wouldn't mind."

I was suprised he would let me stay with him, and he just met me.

"I can't. I don't want to be to much trouble for you guys."

"You won't be. Please stay with me."

"Okay."

I know its probably not good but ch.1 is done!!!!!!!!!! yay!!!!!! I will try to improved the story as i will update it. Feel free to leave some comments on what i should do and/or improve on. Remember im a newbie at this so don't be hurtfull. anyways thank u for reading this far :)
