Hunters of the Night: The brewing war

LuHan looked around, genuine worry on his face. He wouldn’t be worried if he saw something around him……but there wasn’t anything. Just open sky and constant desert, like there was no end to it. He tried to communicate with the others, but something was blocking it. He seemed to be in some kind of separate room with illusion, a solid one at that. Whoever creates these kinds of illusion are high level and skilled. He turned a full 360 spin and saw nothing. Then he turned again and saw a sand rainbow head of hair in the distance. He looked pretty young, wearing a white striped t-shirt and a white cardigan with shorts. LuHan started to jog toward the figure when he stopped abruptly. “Wait……he’s the only other person here. He’s the enemy.” He took out his guns. His eyes glowed magenta as he aimed and fired. He felt a harsh wind one second and then the next thing he knew his bullets were on the floor, the glowing of magenta fading. When the sand cleared, he saw that the man had stopped walking and had turned to look at him. LuHan just stared at the man. He was quite handsome, but certainly young, around 17. LuHan found something interesting about him, drawing him toward him. But there was one thing that stopped LuHan from falling for him immediately. It was the fact that that young face he sees had a face on it. Something LuHan despised, even though he does it a lot himself, reminding of that one person from when he was younger. He looked into those cold, emotionless eyes and looked at them with his own practiced and gathered coldness. The man’s expression changed, showing one of mock amusement. Then he smirked and a sandstorm whipped up out of no where. LuHan covered his eyes, rooting himself into the sand, trying not to be blown away. When the storm cleared he opened his eyes and was face to face with the man. His expression went back to the usual: face. LuHan scowled and swung his gun, trying to nail him in the face with the barrel. The man caught his arm, never leaving his gaze. He tugged LuHan closer with the arm he was holding, making LuHan an inch from his face. LuHan could feel his breath right on his face. The man’s eyes glowed amber for a second. Then he said in a flat voice, “there’s a game. You have to find me in this desert. You can use your powers and if you can find the genie lamps, I’ve put hints in them. If you can find me, you win. If you can’t, I win. That’s that. No resisting. And don’t say this game is stupid. That stupid giant made it up and it’s pretty clever. Understand??? …….. Your pretty…..are you really a guy??? Have fun LuHan” and then the man was gone, leaving a symbol in the floor. “How do you know my name?! Hey!!! At least tell me yours !!!” there was no reply until the symbol swirled. The symbol rearranged into letters…..no….a sentence. It said “shut up princess, you’ll wake the scorpions. Like I’d tell you.” LuHan stared at the message in disbelief. Who the hell does this man think he is??? He reached into the message and followed the magic thread back to its origin: the man. He reached the end and made a crushing motion. A few seconds later a message swirled furiously into place. It said “WHAT THE WAS THAT FOR???? Didn’t know you were y. That hurt like . I’m not going to tell you!!” LuHan huffed and pouted. “Fine.” Then he put on a straight face and walked away. Then a message swirled into place. “ …………………………………… SeHun….now never make that face again.” LuHan smiled. Was he cute or what????  He put his fists to his cheeks. “Hey SeHun!!!! Bbuing Bbuing!!!” a harsh wind blew for a second and then stilled. LuHan laughed. He walked ahead, searching for any sign of plants. He laughed as he heard complaining from a certain voice.

Tao was huddle up in the middle of a puffy white thing. Guess what it was??? A cloud. A ing cloud. Tao looked over the edge when he first woke up and he almost fell. Where the hell was he???? He could see mismatched scenery down on the ground. One was a maze, one an island, one a room that looked like it came from a horror movie with a mirror, a desert, and room filled with what looked like…Lights??? He was huddled up when he heard a whooshing sound, the sound of rushing air…..the sound of something falling through air. He looked up in time to see a cage falling at top speed toward him. He rolled to the side. Then he looked up. More were falling. When he dodged one, there was another one. He dodged what seemed like his 20th one when a cage clanged over him and nailed itself into the cloud below his feet. It was shaped like a canary cage, with a bed instead of a standing peg in the middle. He grabbed the bars of the door and shook it. It wouldn’t even budge……he banged it over and over again. Then he looked at the door with a “._.” face. He walked away calmly. A few seconds later he came back charging and wielding his staff like a hammer. He banged the door over and over with terrifying strength. Yet, the door didn’t budge. Tao felt adrenaline flow through him, followed by fury. He banged it constantly, his staff ricashaying off the cage bars. He finally stopped when he heard a door click somewhere behind him. He turned, eyes glowing purple with fury. His glare when he saw a handsome man in front of him with blonde hair swept delicately to the side. He walked swiftly over to the cage, closing the door behind him. The door disappeared into the air. He stood of the cage looking at him with an amused smile. His smile was breathtaking. Tao stared at the man with awe. He was beautiful and handsome at the same time. The man lifted an eyebrow. “Like what you see??” Tao snapped out of his daze and blushed. He didn’t notice he was staring. He backed up and sat as far as he could. “Would you like me to tell you everything? What’s going on and why you’re here????” Tao nodded, wanting his questions answered. The cage open and the man flew in, gliding through the air and closing the door before he could get out. He glided toward him and landed. Sitting right next to him. “Just don’t bite me” he teased. Tao looked at him, the noticing how close he was. Tao blushed. He smelled like a fresh breeze in the spring, full of flowers at bloom. The man looked at him smiled, then leaned back and started talking. “Ok, I know this’ll sound weird, but we’ve been watching you guys since you guys were 5.” Tao looked at him. “ WE’ve????” “Yes. My pack and I.  I’m the alpha. I’m Kris btw. The there’s SuHo, my beta. He’s chosen your friend…um Lay was it??? The one that looks like a unicorn???? Then Kai’s with D.O. he may be a bit of a , but once you get to know him he’s not bad. Then its SeHun and LuHan, ChanYeol and Baekhyun, and XiuMin and Chen. They are not in danger, I swear…well…some of them. My friends may go wild sometimes, saying that they just wanna have fun. We all have powers. I have flight, SeHun has wind, Chen has lightning, ChanYeol has fire, Kai has teleportation, and SuHo has water. They are very sensible people, because I have been their alpha for years since we were just pups.” Tao was listening intently when it hit him……flight, wind, lightning, fire, teleportation, and water!!! The powers that have been dull for centuries in the Circle in their village. If they posses those powers and the lights of the Circle for them has been dulled…that means they are the ones in the Prophecy of their village. He’s heard it a few times when he was younger. The story told of the holy angel sensing peril and darkness approaching. Thus, the angel split its powers into 12 fragments, trusting them to his trusting friend, who happened to be the wise old man that was the head of a village. Their village. He stored the 12 fragments into the ground, chained down until the chosen ones had been born and they became of age. Then one day, werewolves attacked the village. They all centered the Circle as their target. 6 werewolves had had contact with the Circle, unchaining the 6 powers: Flight, Wind, Lightning, Fire, Teleportation, and Water. After the attack, the light of the 6 symbols still shined for years after, until a few years ago, when Tao and his friends were a year away from their coming of age ceremony. They had stopped glowing , dimming until they had no trace of magic in them. The scholars searched the archives for a reason to why the symbols did that. They had found one scroll stating a prophecy. The scholars had never seen it in the archives. They had known the archives like the back of their hands. It stated that 6 warriors will be born and claim their powers, the symbols never dimming, while 6 were to be chosen to werewolves. He priest shunned the scroll, burying it underground for all eternity. The story doesn’t tell it all, but that is it. Tao looked at Kris with wide eyes. Kris looked at him, questioningly. “ What is it panda??” Tao looked at him and whispered, “ You guys are the ones……the prophecy. So what do you guys want with us??  Was it that Chen and SeHun guys who scared our Baozi and Deer?? How dare they!! They emotionally changed from that day on. They changed, and not for the good.” Kris looked at him with confusion written across his handsome face. Tao explained everything to him .A flash of annoyance and anger flashed across his face. “That’s what they snuck out to do!!!! Those little……” he muttered curses under his breathe. “ I apologise on their behalf. They were young an foolish pups. They have been ever since our parents were killed by hunters like yourself. By the look on your face, I’d like to reassure you that you sense nothing like them and your looks and scent is different from them. It wasn’t your parents that killed ours. Someone tried to frame it on you guys by leaving your dad’s dagger by our parent’s body, but we found out that your parents were killed at the same times as ours. Yours were killed on the other side of the mountain. It just dawned on me that they must’ve thought that if they killed all 24 of our parents might shut the powers for good. Well, looks like they failed. I still remember my mother and father’s faces as they were pierced through the heart by a dagger the color of a starless midnight sky. My mothers last words and my dad’s last instructions before they left me. He told me to find the others and escape. To live to battle another day and not want revenge until the time came.” Tao realised that he was crying, his face facing away from him so he wouldn’t see. He could tell by the trembling of his shoulders. Tao hesitantly hugged him, not knowing why he felt safe around him. A comforting and familiar feeling. He then asked, “Why are you guys so nice to us??? Why not kill us. We are hunters. We are warriors born to kill your kind. Why not just kill us so we don’t kill you guys???” He let out a shaky laugh.” Your hugging me, though I don’t mind, that doesn’t seem like you’ll kill me. And it’s because…” He hesitated. “If I tell you don’t tell the others. Youguysareourmatesandyouguyshavetomarryusandlivewithusandyoucantleavebecausewewouldbelonelyandwecandiefromthatandweneedyouguysbecauseitspartoftheprophecythathasbeenpassedthroughourkindforalongtime.” He said it all in one breath, but Tao caught all the words. “WHAT?!” He looked at him. Kris smiled a teary smile at him. “Yeah. That’s all. I can’t let you out of here ‘cause your friends are playing. Get some sleep and I’ll bring you food tomorrow and whatever you need. You can train here ‘cause there is a lot of room.” He lifted Tao and flew over to the bed. He set him down and tucked him in. he leaned in just a centimeter away from his face and whispered. “ You get this because I chose not to play a game like the others. Goodnight panda.” Then he kissed his forehead and left the room. Tao blushed and drifted to sleep, wondering how each of his hyungs were doing. They were in those peculiar rooms right??? He wondered how Baozi was holding up. He knows how he cant stand annoying things….

XiuMin ran from the sphinx yelling. “Bad kitty!! BAD!!!! GET AWAY FROM MEEEEEEEEEEE!!!” He ran and saw a door. He tumbled in and a cage door closed over the door way, cutting of the sphinx. It stuck its huge paws through the door and tried to swipe at him.  “Come here ssssstupid hunter.” Its human head hissed. He couldn’t use his powers because he found out that sphinxes up the magic and aura from them when he tried to freeze it and it almost made him into meat strips. He flipped the bird on the sphinx and walked away, to get hit in the head by a bucket of water. He had just opened the next door when it fell. He looked up at the storm clouds and yelled, “I avoid a sphinx, part human, part lion, part eagle and part snake to get BUCKETED?! How jacked up could you GET?” he huffed and marched through the door, only to fall into another pit. Here we go again.

Chapter 39: Oh the feels~~~

Btw- I feel your pain dude. The first love always hurts the most, but for me, that person is always next to me and they know about my feelings, it's just... Well complicated and they like my best friend. Sometimes it's hurts to see them talking to each other, but there are times where I have to remember to keep smiling even though I'm dying on the inside.
