Tao woke up to a crash and cursing. He shot to his feet and looked around, blinking the sleep out of his eyes. He stifled a burst of laughter when he saw the cause of the noise. Kris was carrying a tray of food that was overflowing. Let me rephrase that: was. He happened to trip on his own feet and dropped the tray, all over himself. He was staring down at himself with a scowl and disdain. Tao burst out laughing, not being able to contain it any longer. Kris looked up in surprise and his face changed from a scowl to a cool and freakily calm smile. He walked over to Tao’s cage and opened the door and stepped in. He kept smiling, never faltering his steps. Tao stopped laughing and stared at him as he approached. Kris launched forward and tackled Tao and started tickling him. He laughed nonstop, not being able to take the tickling. Kris then smudged cake on Tao’s face, causing him to gasp. Tao glared at him playfully and said, “You wanna play it that way??? Fine be it. Cake is my domain.” Tao grabbed four plates of cake that flew through the openings in the cage and spun around, launching the cake slices at high speed. Kris laughed and shot into the air, floating. Tao ran and tumbled as he dodged, laughing. By the time they were done, the whole place was covered in cake and the bed wasn’t sleepable. They were wrestling, covered in cake and cream. When they were done, Tao got up and laughed. “Hey, Kris gege?? Can I go take a shower?? I’m kinda dirty.” Kris smiled and said, “Yea. I’ll take you to my room and you can use my bathroom. And since your bed is……well, trashed, you can sleep on my bed. I’ll go sleep with Inferno.” Tao looked at him and asked curiously, “Who’s Inferno??” Kris smiled at him. “I don’t think you’d like to meet him. He’s not very friendly with strangers. It took a while for him to get used to my friends. Almost ate Kai a few times. Now let’s get you cleaned up and to bed, ok?? When you get to my room I have a surprise for you, so hurry up!!” Kris grabbed him around the waist and he flew him to his room. The room was big and airy. Everything was white, from the bed to the carpet and doors. Kris led him to the bathroom and it was the same as everything else: white. Kris gave him a change of clothes and told him to take a shower and he’ll bring out the surprise. Tao went in and scrubbed himself clean and dried his hair. He dressed up and walked out side. Hands covered his eyes. “When I count to 5 you open your eyes, ok??” He nodded and felt Kris’s hands move and he counted to 5. “1, 2,3,4,5...” Tao opened his eyes and gasped. Tears came to his eyes as he ran to the big black and white animal. He hugged it and screamed, “Gucci!!! Oh, I missed you soooo much!!” He let go of the panda and the panda hugged him and his face. He got up and hugged Kris. “Thank you soooo much, Kris.” Kris smiled and shrugged. “My buddies did the same for your friends too. It wasn’t my idea. It was Suho’s. Is it true one of your friends have a unicorn??? It tried to skewer SuHo. He managed to convince it that he was going to bring him to Lay. And then there was your friend XiuMin’s Wolf and BaekHyun’s fox. They were smarter than Chen and ChanYeol. Now, go to sleep. You may be able to see them tomorrow, ok??? Some of them are injured, but none of my friends did anything to them, ok?? They’re helping them. Now, goodnight.” Kris tucked him in with his panda curled right next to him and kissed his forehead. Tao waited until he heard Kris walk out of the room before getting up and following him. He saw Kris enter the room down the hall and he followed, slowly and quietly slipping inside. He hid in the shadows for half an hour before walking forward, sure that Kris was asleep. And he was, but he was curled up on top of a dragon. Inferno’s a dragon?? Why didn’t he just tell me?? Tao heard Kris’s steady breathing from the ground. Kris was at least hundreds of feet of the ground. Tao slowly walked past the dragon’s eye. Suddenly its eyes shot open. Tao squeaked and stumbled back. He put a finger to his mouth and made a shushing motion. He walked to the dragon’s snout and put his hand on it, hoping it wouldn’t bite it off. He suddenly heard a voice in his head. Who are you and give me a good reason not to eat you. Tao stared at the dragon and smiled. “You’re too nice to eat me. I can tell. I’m Kris’s mate I suppose. And you’re Inferno?? I don’t get why Kris said I shouldn’t meet you. You are nice company.” The dragon glared at him, trying to intimidate him, but Tao just stood there smiling. “I sense that you are very kind and has a nice soul.” I don’t like you. Tao looked at him. “what can I do to make you like me??” I like people who show that they are worthy of friendship and admiration. All of Kris’s friends have shown it during the time we’ve met. Tao nodded, understanding. He walked over to the wall and yanked out a pole. He walked back over to the front of the dragon and bowed. He swung the pole around in his hand, faster than the eye could see, but the dragon could see it clearly with his ancient eyes. After Tao finished, he bowed. The dragon stared for a moment, then smiled. Now there is a perfect example of the martial arts. You are the first person to ever impress me that way. Well done. Tao smiled and said, “You should see two of my best friends: XiuMin and BaekHyun. They both know hapkido and taekwondo very well. I’m not the best.” They chatted all night about different techniques in martial arts and the history. They lost track of time and Tao fell asleep on Inferno’s front hand. When Kris woke up he was surprised to see his best buddy and Tao sleeping peacefully. He smiled. “I knew you’d follow me and get along with Inferno.” Then he sat next to Tao and fell asleep again, looking at his face

XiuMin woke up to something pouncing on him. He shot up instantly and his sword came out. When he saw what pounced on him, he squealed and ran toward the wolf, hugging it so tight its tongue came out as it tried to breathe. “Winter!!! I didn’t expect you to be here!! How did you get here?? I missed you so much!!” Winter gave a wolfish smile and spoke through his mind. Now, Now. I can’t leave my little steam bun can I?? you are like the pup I never had. I actually feel like mother for once. Winter had never had pups because she wasn’t able to, due to an accident when she was born. She found XiuMin in the forest when he rolled down a steep hill. They had become companions ever since she saved him. He heard a cough and he turned, seeing Chen leaning on the door frame, smiling shyly. He was so different from when they first met. “I see you guys are getting caught up with each other??? She is a very clever companion, I must say. She almost tricked me into a ditch but we’ve put or problems aside.” He’s quite a handsome one, Steam bun. You take care of him, ya hear?? He told me everything. He saved you. You lucky rascal. Then something unexpected happened. Chen spoke in his mind. Now I suppose I should show you my companion. He can be a bit….energized this early in the morning. Oh, and if you’re wondering, I linked with Winter. She suggested we should. I told my friends to do the same just in case trouble comes up. Chen stuck his fingers into his mouth and whistled a high, chiming sound. A horse the gray of a storm charged in. the hair on its neck glistened and rippled. Its hooves made no sound, but why??? Then he noticed the hooves weren’t touching the floor. It was floating. The horse glided up to him and nudged his hand. “ His name is Storm Rider. He seems to like you. Don’t feed him anything, and if you see him heading toward electronics, take it away or run if its to late. You don’t wanna know what happens. Trust me. I ended up with a bad hair day AND the whole house shut down and I turned charred black.” XiuMin burst out laughing. “Ok. Oh, if you see Winter heading toward the fridge do something. She’s on a diet. And if you have any small, furry animals as pets in this house, I recommend to not let them loose. Winter runs on the Winter energy but she also hunts and kills for snacks.” Chen’s eyes widened. “Um…where did she go??” They looked where Winter used to be. “Oh. She must’ve sensed something to hunt. What do you have in this house??? Oh my god. If it’s a dear pet of one of your best friends we’d better go. She’ll eat it before you see it gone.” Chen’s face paled. “ChanYeol has pet weasels. But um…we might wanna hurry.” XiuMin looked at him. “of course!!! I can’t let her eat someone’s pet!!!” Chen shook his head. “ that’s not it!!! ChanYeol’s familiar is a PHOENIX!!!!! She’ll fry Winter and they’ll start fighting. Nai gives nasty burns. He has a grudge against winter beings.” XiuMin cursed and ran out of the room after Chen and cursed. Things were already getting interesting in this house.

Baekhyun woke up to screeching and howls. He shot out of bed with his whip ready. Then he took in the scene before him. A golden phoenix battling it out with a huge wolf, the biggest he’s ever seen. He looked closer and saw that it was Winter. Then he saw a familiar figure. It was Aina, his light familiar. She was glowing a fierce silver and was trying to stop them. He sang out a high, piercing note and Aina came prancing over to him. “ WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!” Aina replied, “Winter came barging in here and tried to eat that tall dude’s ferrets. The phoenix saw her and attacked. You know how usually winter beings and fire being don’t match. I tried to stop them. We need to do something before they kill each other!!!” Baekhyun called off his weapon and dove forward, grappling his arms around Winter’s neck. “WINTER!!! XiuMin is going to KILL YOU!!! He said NO EATING PETS!!!!” Winter growled. It’s nice to see you but that’s not the problem. I found out they were pets. I wasn’t going to eat them. This ball of idiot attacked me first!!! Called me a frost biter!!! That is an insult to my race!!!! BaekHyun glared at the phoenix. “ YOU DID WHAT?! I am going to kill you stupid feather covered freak!!! No one calls a friend of mine a name that offensive and rude!!! Wait til I turn you into a turn coat!!!” BaekHyun lunged off of Winter’s back and grabbed the phoenix. The phoenix couldn’t hurt BaekHyun because he was his master’s mate, but he hurt the wolf. He tried to get around BaekHyun grabbed his head from the neck and put it into a headlock. ChanYeol was yelling at Nai, telling him to cut it off. The door crashed open and XiuMin and Chen came in with Storm Rider after him. Storm rider ran into the fight, trying to break it off. It was a mess. The whole room was a catastrophe. XiuMin was trying to calm down Winter while ChanYeol was trying to calm down both BaekHyun and Nai. Then the wall exploded. Chen yelled. “ OH COME ON!!!!!”

SuHo and Lay were awake and talking about different books with their familiars beside them talking about other things also, they heard a lot of shouting and looked at each other. They ran out the door with their familiars right on their heels. SuHo saw ChanYeol’s door wide open. They walked inside I froze. It was a mess. Familiars were fighting each other. Some trying to stop the fight and some in the fight. Lay turned to his unicorn Uruhui. “Set up a barrier. I am not letting them take down this whole house on top of us. And girl, be careful. Don’t wanna brake your horn again, do you??.” Then he ran into the mess. SuHo looked around. He turned toward his selkie, Shaii, a sleek horse with the smell of ocean and sharp hooves and dark eyes. “ try to calm them down. do not get tempted by the urges of battle. Be careful and don’t hurt anybody. This room is big. Use it as an advantage to stop the fight.” Shaii nodded and charged in. SuHo whistled, calling the others. They were going to need as much help as they could. It may help, or it may not. It might fuel the fight but they’ll have to try. Kai and D.O appeared at the door along with SeHun and LuHan. Kris and Tao were in the clouds, but they didn’t need their help. Kai and D.O talked to each other and they nodded at each other. D.O got onto his Tiger Arasha’s back and they rode up to the others. Kai and his panther Shadow slid into the shadows, doing who knows what. LuHan turned to SeHun and pointed toward their familiars and pointed toward the ceiling. SeHun nodded and whistled. Vinao, his eagle, flew toward him. He told him what to do and Vinao lifted Sheea, LuHan’s peacock into the air. They thought the fight was going to go on forever when the whole room froze, encased in ice. Everyone quieted and stared at XiuMin. His eyes were glowing a fierce winter blue, like a blizzard. “You dare accuse Winter of trying to kill a pet?? She is loyal and takes my rules like a law for her life. You never listened to her explanation and you attack because of what race she comes from?! Not only that, you called her the one name that is taboo in her race and have no excuse for it?? I ought to kill you myself!! Your race is as elegant as anything could ever be, but you have the temper that could kill you before it kills something else!!! Winter was cool headed and calm until you called her that and attacked. YOU ARE A DISGRACE!!!! I OUGHT TO STRANGLE YOU MYSELF!!!” XiuMin launched forward, only to have Chen grab him around the waist and hold him back. XiuMin yelled and struggled. Chen kissed him on the cheek and murmured comforting and calm words. XiuMin’s struggling vanished, to be replaced by a calm determination. He said he could stand on his own and promised not to attack the feather pillow they called a bird. All the familiars returned to their masters. Nai chimed a sound that sounded like a scoff. “Not only is your kind so revolting, it’s your masters too!!” ChanYeol turned sharply toward Nai, his eyes the color of the strongest of fires. “YOU. Shut the up. How dare you. I raised you better than this!! From the time you hatched from your egg I trained you to know better than that!! How dare you call my new friend revolting!!!!!! I will strangle you myself for the shame you caused on your race and honor. I never put you back in the ring ‘cause I know you hate it. But I will not give you a ing choice this time. I expect an apology ready when I let you out or I am going to deal with you myself!!! YOU WILL NEVER CALL A MEMBER OF THEIR RACE SUCH WORDS. UNDERSTAND?! My Mother and Father would be disappointed in you. You shame our family name.” Nai seemed to shrink with shame as ChanYeol yelled at him. He nodded his head and bowed it. ChanYeol stuck out his hand and Nai turned into a charm and attached to his ring. ChanYeol turned with a sincere and sorry look. “I apologize for Nai. I thought I made it clear years ago never to shame the other elemental races. This was a bad first meeting. I am sorry.” BaekHyun never saw ChanYeol so serious before. it made him…… Hot. Chen piped up. “ This was an eventful day! So, who are the rest of you?? i know my bestfriends and all. you guyus look like a mess!!??” 6 pairs of shoes flew toward his face.
