Tao, Baekhyun, Chen and Kai walked into the classroom and stopped by the door, all eyes drawn toward them. Tao was eating a

lollipop while Baekhyun was looking into a hand mirror and Chen and Kai were snickering and whispering to each other, probably

planning one of their tricks. The teacher slammed a book on the desk in front of her and glared. Then she turned toward them,

putting on a smile. “Welcome boys! I’m Ms. Kim. I’ll be your homeroom teacher for the year! Why don’t you guys come in and

introduce yourself!” Tao stepped forward. Everyone looked at the intimidating boy in front of them. He had raven black hair and a

lot of cartilages on his left ear. “Nihao I’m Tao. I like wushu and pandas. Please take care of me!” He bowed and everyone cooed

as he smiled. “Hi. I’m Byun Baekhyun. I like eyeliner and singing. Nice to meet you!” Kai and Chen both snickered and stepped

forward. Kai stepped forward and quietly gestured for Chen to go to his right, closer to the teacher’s chair. Kai introduced them

both while a screwdriver shot out of his sleeve and into his hand. He bent down, pretending to tie his shoelace. He unscrewed the

screws and balanced the seat with a dry erase marker jammed into he back. He stood up and smiled. “I’m Kai and this is Chen. I

like to play basketball and dancing while he likes to sing and do photography and dance. Hope we can be friends.” And then he let

out a dazzling smile.  Ms.Kim smiled and gestured for them to take a seat. They sat down and took out their supplies. Kai looked at

the people around him and froze with shock. Beside him on the right was a girl who looked a lot like Chanyeol’s mom, Amber. He

tapped her shoulder and stuck out his hand. “I’m Kai. Nice to meet you. Have I seen you before?” Amber let out a laugh and took

his hand and gave it a shake. “I’m Amber Liu. And no. I’ve never seen you before. Are you flirting with me or are you just asking?”

Kai’s eyes widened and he quickly replied. “Omg no! I was just asking. I have a boyfriend.”  Amber laughed and smiled. “I’m part of

the official dance and rap club. Come by sometime and maybe we can do some moves and have some dance battles. Do you

have dance class??” Kai nodded and took out his schedule. “I have it 6^th period after gym.” The bell rang and Amber smiled and

got up. “I’ll see you there. Nice meeting you Kai.” She held out her fist for a fist bump and she walked out the door. The others

rushed over to him and said, “Was that Amber?! Does is she here to help?” Kai shook his head. “She has the same face and the

same name but she isn’t Chanyeol’s mom. She’s just a regular teen. Hey lets go to lunch.” They walked out of the class, not

noticing a white feather on the chair.

SuHo, Lay, Chanyeol and D.O entered the class and introduced themselves. Suho wrapped his arm around Lay’s shoulder and

leaned and waved his hand. “Hi! I’m Suho. I like to sing and swim. Nice to meet you all!” Lay let out a shy smile. “Nihao. I’m Lay. I

like to sing, dance and write songs.” Chanyeol waved his hands energetically and smiled his bright, contagious smile. Everyone

smiled as he introduced his self. “Ayo wassup! I’m Park Chanyeol. I like to play instruments, rap and play basketball. Hope we’ll be

good friends and get along!” “I’m D.O. I like to sing and cook. I also like to draw.” They walked over to their seats and settled in.

Lay sat by an open window and looked outside as a bird flew rapidly through the air. He sent out a mental message and said hello.

The bird turned sharply over toward him and shot toward him. He let out a yell and slammed the window closed. The bird hit the

window so hard it cracked with the impact and the bird exploded, shooting glass everywhere. Suho grabbed his neck and shoved

them both under a desk. Feathers and blood was everywhere. All the kids stood up and looked at the window with shock and fear.

The teacher yelled, asking if everyone was ok. They all yelled back that they were ok. Suho yanked him up and he looked around.

There was blood and black feathers everywhere. A few people had a few bits of shrapnel in them, but they were ok. Suho looked

at him, concerned. “Are you ok? Are you hurt anywhere?” Lay looked at him and saw that he was pale, but not from fear. He had a

dozen pieces of shrapnel embedded into his side. Lay gasped and looked around. No one was watching. He used his fingers and

yanked out the pieces and whispered assuring words to Suho. “You’re hurt. I’ll take you to the nurse and then I can heal you.” He

turned toward the teacher and said that Suho was hurt and he was going to take him to the nurse. He said ok and said they could

go. Lay was about to turn and walk Suho there when he caught a glimpse of white. It was a piece of paper nailed into his chair with

a shard of black glass. He yanked the glass out of the chair and wrapped it in a handkerchief. Then he tucked the note into his

pocket and nodded to Chanyeol and D.O and walked with Suho’s arm around his neck to the nurse’s office. This was definitely the

place where the Night worlders were.

Suho Lay, Chanyeol and D.O got to the cafeteria first and sat at the biggest table, the closest to the patio door. When the others

got there, they told each other about the events that morning. Kris had this scrunched up face and said with disgust. “This girl

named Hyuna wanted me to go clubbing with her. Ugh.” He made a pukey face and Tao patted his head and laid his head on his

shoulder. Kai looked up from his lunch and said, “I met this girl named Amber. She had the same name and looked like Chanyeol’s

Mom. But apparently she isn’t here to help us. She seems like a regular person.” Chanyeol stared at him wide eyed and nodded.

Baekhyun looked at him with concern and he kissed Baekhyun’s cheek, reassuring him he was ok. Xiumin pointed at Suho and

said with a mouth full of steam bun, “Why is your blazer all shredded and with holes.” Suho sighed and nudged Lay. “Lay’ll tell

you.” Lay looked at them with the fear from earlier still etched into his eyes. “I was sitting in my seat next to the open window when

I saw a bird flying around, like it was searching for something. I reached out to it with my mind and said hi. It turned so quickly and

shot toward me. It was like it was looking for something…..for ME. Like it was me reaching out to it helped it pinpoint what it was

told to find. It hit the window and exploded. Suho protected me and when I stood up I saw he was hurt. But before I took him to the

nurse’s office I saw a note tacked to my chair by a black shard of glass. The weird thing is, there was no black glass. The window

was perfectly clear. I think the shard may have been enchanted and was meant to hit me. Why it was a glass shard that tacked the

letter, I think it was so it wasn’t suspicious to regular humans. I think it may be enchanted. I’ll take give CNU a call and tell him to

meet me at a café across the street. Oh, and this is what the letter says.” He held up the letter and it said:

 Dear hunter and puppies,

Welcome to the school. We’re gonna have a lot of fun together. Did you like my surprise? Until we meet again.

 The others asked if Suho was ok. He said that he was fine, but Lay couldn’t completely heal him or else it would have been

suspicious. Xiumin spoke up. “Um, could N.W be Night Worlder? We don’t have a name for the attacker.” They all sighed and ate

lunch until the bell rang and they all headed toward the gym.

They all changed into the gym outfit and walked up to the gym. They all smiled when they saw that Kangin was their teacher. They

stretched and ran a few laps before he split their group into 2 teams to play basketball. Then he left to match the other classmates.

Kangin couldn’t match them to the human ones because they wouldn’t be able to match up to their level of physical. Team 1 was

Kris, Sehun, Kai, Chanyeol, Chen and Suho. The other team was Tao, Xiumin, Luhan, D.O, Lay, and Baekhyun. They stood before

each other and stared at each other. Kangin blew the whistle and walked to the side. Tao shot forward and jumped, catching the

ball a few seconds ahead of Kris and shot off down the court, Kris right on his heels. Chanyeol smiled and blocked his path,

reaching for the ball. Tao fainted Left and threw it right, over Suho’s head and into Xiumin’s hands. He ran, dodging Kai and Chen

as he passed the ball over to Baekhyun who did something that shocked the wolves. He turned and shot the ball into the hoop

effortlessly, hitting only net. Baekhyun fist bumped his team mates and smirked at Chanyeol, who was staring at him with surprise

and admiration on his face. They checked and then Kris passed the ball over to Suho, he ran and twisted past Tao’s arms and tried

to shoot. Luhan appeared in front of him and jumped, blocking the ball and knocking it into Xiumin’s waiting hands. He ran down

the court and passed it to Tao, who dunked it into the hoop. The wolves didn’t expect them to play so seriously and so hard, so

they had to pick up the pace and maybe cheat a little. Their pride was on the line. Tao caught the ball and threw it toward Xiumin

who caught it but was caught in Chen’s arms when he wrapped them around his waist. He cursed and threw it toward Tao when

Chen started to tickle him. Tao ran and was about to pass it to Lay when he saw Suho blocking Lay, his hands catching hold of his.

Tao turned and saw that D.O was trapped by Kai and Luhan wasn’t tall enough to catch the ball before Sehun did. Baekhyun was

the same thing as Luhan and it was just him and Kris. Kris walked over to him, smirking. He checked the clock on the wall, showing

that it was just 2 minutes until gym was over. Tao smirked back and whispered. “We’re getting the last point. If we win you have to

do what ever we tell you too. If we lose you guys can tell us to do whatever you want us to." Kris had a glint in his eyes. “Sure. But

no guarantees that you’ll get past me.” Tao twisted his body away as Kris lunged forward. He bounced the ball on the floor and

taunted him. He did a bunch of tricks without looking at it, never breaking eye contact with Kris. He saw Kris lunge to the left and

he twisted out of the way, only to find out that Kris had gone behind him and stolen the ball. Kris turned toward the hoop, jumping

and shooting. The bell rang just as the ball fell through the hoop. The wolves kissed their partners on the cheek and walked out of

the gym. They had all heard about the deal. Tao looked sheepishly at his best friends as they came running toward him, arms

outstretched. Xiumin grabbed him and out him in a head lock. Baekhyun, D.O, Lay, and Luhan stood in front of him, arms crossed

and sweating. “Tao. What did you say to Kris that made the others say that we have to do what ever they want for a year and a

half?” He gulped as they had a deadly glint in their eyes. “Ehehehe…um I made a bet with Kris that is we lost we had to do what

ever they tell us to do? I’msorrydontkillme!!” He squeaked as they dragged him across the floor and down the stairs to the dressing

room. The other 5 said at the same time, “You owe us!!” They didn’t notice the blob of shadow watching them in the corner as it

drifted out a window and to its summoner.
