ANN'S POV:

"Just go here. I'm waiting" He said then he hung up.

Gosh. He's waiting for me? But wait, how about Fretzie? Imma text her. I know she'll understand.

To: Fretzie

~ Fretz, I'm sorry. Let's hang out next time. I have something to do now. ~

From: Fretzie

~ Okay Ann. Take care! ~

After I receiver Fretzie's reply, I changed my outfit quickly nad checked if my hair is okay.

Then I headed to the park.. There.. I saw James sitting on a bench. I headed to him.

"Hey there" I said in a quiet and calm voice.

"I've been waiting here for about 20 minutes." He replied.

"I'm sorry for making you wait" I apologized.

"Sit down" He commanded.

I sat down beside him.

"Why did you call me here?" I asked him.

"I have something to tell you" *What?He's telling me something? I wonder what is it.*

"What?" I asked.

"Ann.." He said.

I did not speak. But why is he shaking?

"A-ann?" He repeated. I just love him mentioning my name.

Finally, I spoke. Pretending to be annoyed by this time.

"What is is?" *in an annoyed tone*

"Ann.. I like.."

What does he like? Or maybe who? Why he didn't continue it?

"You like???" I'm waiting for his next words.

"Ann.. I like.. *deep sigh* Fretzie.."

It broke my heart when he said that. I thought he's going to say he likes me..  I was wrong. My tears are starting to form but I dont want it to completely fall because maybe he'll ask why am I affected. I just quickly stood up from my seat and stated..

"You called me here just to say you like Fretzie? Nonsense.." I was about to leave but he pulled my hands tightly *I feel sparks again* causing me to go back to my seat. I was pretending to be angry but the truth is I was hurt.

"Wait. Will you let me finish first?" He begged. Not letting go of my hand.

"You should call Fretzie not me. Am I Fretzie?" I asked him philosophically.

"No. But..." He paused again.

"But?"  I was expecting for more.

"I want to talk to you because your Fretzie's bestfriend."

"And so? What if I'm Fretzie's bestfriend? I'm still not Fretzie.. And not the one you like.."

When I said the last line (And not the one you like.) I slowly bowed my head, so I cant face him.

"But its not that. I called you here because I want you to help me"

"Help you in what?"

"In getting Fretzie. And make her like me too"

I was more hurt. Hello? Help him? So it means when I help him, there's a chance that he and Fretzie can be together, because Fretzie is my bestfriend.

"What?!!" I exclaimed, my eyes got widened and I was like totally shocked. I quickly stood up from my seat and face him.

"You want me to help you?" I asked once again.

"Yes. Please? Fretzie's most-ever supportive and kind bestfriend?" He made a slight pout and he looks cute.

"Aish! Do you know what you're thinking?"

"Yes. Convincing you to help me"

He intertwined his both hands and placed it below his chin and after a few seconds, I did not talked. So he kneel down in front of me.

"Please Ann. I know you and Fretzie are super close, right?" He asked still kneeling down and begging. Silly James.

"Do you really love my bestfriend?" I asked him.

"Yes. I love her" He answered seriously.

"What do you like about her?"

"Ann, every guy will like Fretzie, it is because all you're searching for in a girl is already in her. The looks, the brains, and the attitude." Yeah. He's right. But I also have all that right? Uh-- Kidding, i know Fretzie is perfect. She's an angel in the eye of all guy. Every girl in school envy her, except for me. She's my bestfriend.

I was in a deep thought that time.

"So you agree? You gonna help me?"  James talked breaking my thoughts.

"What? Uh---" I was not in myself.

"You'll help me okay?" I did not answered.

"Thanks. Thanks Ann!" He hugged me. What? Why did he thanked me?

"Wait. Wait" I'm back again. I broke the hug and he looked at me smiling.

"Did I say yes?" I asked him

"Yeah" He answered gladly.

"Hey I did not!" I was annoyed because I really did not.

"Yes you did! Okay, I'll meet you up tomorrow at school to talk about our plans" He said then he leave
