PS. Enjoy the story below. Its about how Elisa and Cindy convinced their parents to go to Seoul
Foreword
Elisa's POV:
I was at home pleading for my mom to allow me to go to Seoul by myself with Cindy before we go to college so I can be indepedent for the 50th time this week. I was always relying on my mom to give me money when I needed them and I never cook for myself. So I was hoping that I can be independent and not relying on my mom on the trip to Seoul.
Elisa: Mom. Please. Let me go to Seoul by myself. I want to be independent and not rely on you. If you come with me, then I won't be independent.
Mom: But, you have never been to another country by yourself before. What's going to happen to you? I can't possibly let you go off on your own.
Elisa: But mom. Cindy is going to come with me. Please mom. Let me go. I want to be independent. You always say that I have to be independent but when I want to be independent, you say I can't be independent? What is this?
My mom was at lost of words because what I said was true. My mom is always telling me that I can never rely on her because she knows that I need to get married and I can't rely on her to take care of me and my husband. But everytime she tells me this, I always push off the thought and continue relying on her. This time, it was different. I have already graduated high school and on the path to college. I will be away for college and she can't help me when I needed help from her because we would be in different states and possibly different countries when I go aborad.
Mom: Fine. I'll let you go. Let me confirm with Cindy's mom to see if she is going.
I didn't have much to worry because Cindy had already convinced her mom to let her go last week. I had a hard time convincing my mom because she is hard headed and never listen to what I was saying. Once my mom was out of I quickly called Cindy.
phone conversation:
CIndy: Hello
Elisa: OMG CINDY. MY MOM SAID THAT I CAN GO!!!!!!
Cindy: Really!!!!! YAY...
Elisa: Yea. Why don't you come over now so we can plan the trip out and book hotels and plane tickets. Bring you passport and your ID with you.
Cindy: Okay. I'll be there in an hour.
Elisa: okay. Bye
Cindy: Bye
We hung up and I decided to clean the house a little since it was kind of messy. By the time I was done cleaning, Cindy was not here yet so I decided to take a shower.
Cindy POV:
I was going to head over to Elisa's house but I had to find my passport. My mom kept all of my important identification, excluding my ID, so i won't loose it. I didn't know where my mom kept it so i decided to call her.
Phone conversation:
MOM: Hello
Cindy: Mom, where did you put my passport? I need it right now.
Mom: Oh. It's in my room. Once you go in, you will see the closet.
Cindy: Okay. I'm in your room.
Mom: Go to to my closet and open it. Look for a mooncake box at the floor of the closet.
I opened the closet and sure enough once I opened it, there were five mooncake box in there.
Cindy: Mom. Which mooncake box is it in? There are like five of them in here.
MOM: I don't remember which one it's in. Why don't you look through them yourself. I need to go now.
Cindy: okay mom. Love you.
We hung up and I started looking throught he box. The first box contains a lot of pictures from when my mom and dad were dating and finally got married. The second box contains things from when I was baby to my graduation pictures. The thrid box contains things for my second sister, Carmen from when she was a baby to graduation pictures from middle school. She would be starting high school this coming September. The forth box contains things for my youngest sister, Jamie from when she was a baby to 6th grade. She will be starting 7th grade this coming September. The fifth and last box contains all of the important identification for my sisters, my parents and I. I took my passport and changed into casual wear. I checked the time, and it realized that I was going to run late. I told her that I was going to be there in an hour and 45 minutes were already wasted. I grabbed all of my things and stuffed them into my bag and head out.
I was waiting for the trian to come when I thought about how easy it was for me to convince my mom than it was for Elisa to convince her mom.
flashback:
Cindy: Mom. I want to go to Seoul with Elisa this summer before I go to college. by ourself?
Mom: Why? You don't want to be near me?
Cindy: It's not that. It's just that I want more independence. I don't want to always rely on you. You already have to take care of Carmen and Jamie. I don't you to worry about me since I'm starting college soon. I just want to be more independent.
Mom: Let me think about it.
Cindy: Okat mom.
The Next Day:
CIndy: So mom, can I go?
Mom: (Sigh) Well. you convinced me pretty well. Fine. You can go to Seoul by yourself with Elisa.
Cindy: Thanks Mom, you're the best. (kiss mom on the cheek)
End of flashback
I finally get to go to Korea along with Elisa. I hope we meet Shinee. especially Jonghyun... The train finally came and I got on the trian and waited for Elisa's stop to come.
