Jae Joong’s POV

It’s Friday and it is the guest house policy that every Friday night is Friendship night. All guests should eat together at the dining area to mingle with the other guest and make friends. Jae Joong was excited, scared, and nervous. What if someone will recognize him? It will be the end of his great adventure. “Auntie might not have recognized me earlier since I was fully wrapped due to the cold weather. Hhhmm, I better continue wearing this wide scarf and beanie just in case” he thought. 

The dining area was already noisy when he went down. There are about 4 couples with mixed nationalities on their 40s – 60s and three American and British male guests who are here for a skiing adventure.  Upon seeing them Jae Joong was relieved. Luckily for him, there are no Koreans around. 

It took him 20minutes to relax since he is not so well versed in English. Though he can understand, he is having a hard time talking. One of the guests noticed his difficulties and talked to him in fluent Japanese. His shocked expression was shown all over his face so the man told him that he had been living in Japan for almost 10 years now as an English teacher in Osaka.

After while, he remembered the girl he saw by the lake and started to look around but she is nowhere to be seen. “Who is she? Why is she lonely? Why is she crying so hard? She must be one of the guest or an employee here”, he thought.
