We weren’t too far away from headquarters, so in little time my vision was proven right. Well, after I had to reassure Kris again and AGAIN I was alright. He finally let me off before muttering talking to the tree or something.

The six strangers that I had seen immediately greeted us, embracing and talking with excited voices. I stepped aside from the commotion. Although I couldn’t deny I was a bit wary of our visitors, I couldn’t stand in the way. Everyone in EXO-M had lit up faces, even Tao, who had always looked a bit solemn since I met him.

Somehow one of them noticed my presence. All of the sudden they gathered around me, looking at me curiously, whispering to each other and glancing around.

Kris appeared by my side, resting a reassuring hand on my shoulder as he replied in the same language I didn’t know. As the visitors chorused a sound of understanding, I turned to him. “Korean?”

He nodded. “They are EXO-K, the division of EXO based in Korea. They’re going to introduce themselves as best as they can to you.”

One of them stepped forward and shook my hand. “Hello, I am EXO-K’s leader Suho.” His face was typical compared to other guys’, yet it portrayed distinct warmth as he smiled at me. I wondered what it would look like when he smirked.

Which the guy next to him had been doing. “I’m Kai,” he said simply, a slight smile crossing face before it went solemn. How did lips like Angeline Jolie’s show up on a guy like him? But it made him look younger, more innocent, the opposite effect of what those kinds of lips looked like on women.

“I’m D.O.” A guy with big eyes and an unguarded smile greeted me. I couldn’t help but wonder what his power was. His appearance just made me perplexed, curious.

“I’m Baekhyun,” the next guy went, a smile spreading across his whole face. His expression reminded me of Lu Han’s. They both seemed to glow when they were happy, and they both looked like teenagers, maybe sixteen or so. Except that wouldn’t be true since Kris told me no one in EXO was younger than eighteen years old.

“I’m Sehun, the youngest,” the guy lisped as he shook my hand. His face showed no expression whatsoever, a true poker face. I wondered how that guy would do in acting.

“I’m Chanyeol, so glad to meet you!” The last guy said heartily in a very deep voice. I almost stepped back in surprise.

“So yup, that’s all of them,” Kris said as Chanyeol let go of my hand. “Will you excuse us for a minute? They’re here for an important issue.”

“Sure.”

“Thanks. Also there’s that notebook over there.” He pointed to a huge, thick spiral. “We often write down events in that, so we can better understand our power. We’ll take a look at your entry once I’m done with these guys.”

“Okay.” As I started walking over to the table, EXO-K burst out in laughter with Kris. I saw Lay and Lu Han walk over with a bunch of books, while Chen and Xiumin were already mingling with them. Tao was running up with some papers. I sighed as I opened the notebook, picked up the pen next to the book, and started to fill the form out. I’m part of EXONE, not EXO, but seeing how they were all connected, I couldn’t help but feel lonely.

Why was I the only one part of EXONE right now? Why couldn’t I have been part of something big with someone else? Even the pen I was holding had the EXO logo on it. I let the bracelet with the EXONE ring hang from my wrist, but even that didn’t curb even the tiniest of grain jealousy I felt.

“Hey.” I looked up to see Tao taking a seat across from me. “Did Kris give you busy work?”

“Yeah.” I scanned his face. He seemed so protective of Kris earlier, and he was talking to me again like nothing happened. “Why are you here and not with the others?”

He shrugged. “They’re using technical terms in Korean, and I couldn’t understand them anymore. They’re going to tell me what they’ve concluded later anyway.”

“They don’t need your input?”

“Nah, this one is an information session. I think it has to do with some research Chanyeol was doing about us. Of course our company thinks the evidence we have can be used as a prop.” Tao rolled his eyes. “So we have to be quiet about this, whatever it is.”

“Already got that.” I shifted my attention back to the page I was supposed to fill out, and scribbled down my thoughts quickly.

“Oh really?” he asked sarcastically.

“Shut up,” I automatically replied. “It’s not like I’m trying to forget about it, especially when I’m writing it down, may I add.”

I turned the page and continued writing. Tao stayed silent, so the only sounds were our breathing and my pen scratching against the paper. Soon all I was concentrating was what happened today. Sometime after that, I heard sounds of typing, most likely Tao using his laptop.

As I approached the end of the form, my hand started cramping. I sighed, dropped my pen and proceeding to wring my hand. The pain persisted, and I rested my head on my other hand. I felt exhausted, even after my nap, and my hand was sore. My eyes closed as I tried to relax.

Suddenly someone took my hand and began massaging it. Startled by the abrupt change, I looked up. Tao had turned away from his laptop and was intently massaging my hand. “Wha-“

“I get hand cramps all the time too,” he interrupted me. “Just relax.”

“Does anyone massage your hands when your hands cramp up?” I asked as I followed his order. I groaned as he pressed gently on a tender spot.

“Sometimes the other members do it. But they sometimes cramp up when I’m doing wushu practice, and I always do that alone.” No wonder he was doing a great job with my hand. Martial arts must ask a lot physically.

“Thanks.” I pulled my hand away. “When are they going to be finished?”

“EXO?” His cat eyes focused on me. “Soon hopefully. How much do you have left?”

“Only one part.” I quickly filled that in. Right when I finished my last sentence, the rest of EXO had returned.

Tao stood up immediately and walked over. Me? I got up more reluctantly. Was I wanted? Should I even be here? After all, I was only a novice compared to the rest of them.

Lu Han caught my eye and beckoned me over. Timidly, I joined the crowd.

Chanyeol was taking out several stones and handing them out. “What’s going on?” I whispered.

“Chanyeol found some stones before with the symbols of our power carved on them,” Lu Han whispered back. “Apparently they contain some kind of power, although we don’t know what kind. He’s giving us ours to let us take part in the research.”

“I don’t get one though, right?”

Lu Han at least had the decency to look chagrinned. “Yeah, you don’t. Apparently EXONE is a new thing, while EXO has been around for years.”

“Years?”

“Yeah.” Lu Han shrugged. “We don’t really know though. Apparently we’ve come from a different planet, which is why we’re called Exoplanet.” He looked thoughtful as he said that.

My throat went dry. They weren’t from this planet? “So wait, you guys are aliens?”

“Kalyn, don’t be silly. I’m human just like you. I was born and raised in Beijing.”

“Oh, right.” Now I felt stupid.

“But apparently our spirits, or at least our powers don’t originate from here. We have narrowed down the theories to either reincarnation or just something that the tree does. And we have tried asking the tree, but it just remains silent to our questions. It only tells us what our powers our and what our mission is, nothing about where we came from.” Lu Han sighed. “Our situation is quite complicated, as you can tell.”

“Lu Han.” Kris appeared before us. “They are ready to leave.”

“Already?” He turned. “They were only here for an hour?”

“This was an emergency meeting. Kai is teleporting them in two minutes.”

Lu Han sighed. “Fine. We’ll see them in Korea in a month anyway.” He went over and started hugging all of them.

Kris looked at me. “Done?”

I nodded. “Are we going back to the apartment after this?”

“Yes. You do have school tomorrow.”

“Right.” Lovely. Looks like none of my days were going to be boring.

“Kalyn!” I turned to see EXO-K standing in a line. They smiled. “Bye!”

“Good bye!” I couldn’t resist.

And the next second, their forms started to blur, like smoke, until they were gone.

[A\N] Really short author's note because I need to go to sleep. Seriously. In at least three minutes my mother will be dragging me away to my room >.<

Anyway, chapter that is more than 2 pages long on Microsoft Word when I typed it! WHOOH! I think it's about 4...

Yeah it took a long time. But I also came up with a lot more stuff than I planned for...>.<

This journey is going to be interesting.
