I knocked on the door before I came in, making sure he was completely dressed and out, but when I walked in, I was met with the same sight that had left me an hour earlier.

"Tao, what are you doing?" I asked, suspicious. He was sitting on his bed, legs hanging over the side with his back completely on the bed. He didn't move as I spoke, and was still only in the plaid boxers. 

"I-I... My... My waist hurts." he spoke slowly but normally. I could only guess that he was stuttering because he was in pain, but there was no sign of discomfort in his voice.

"It does?" I quietly walked over to the bed, examining the younger boy. What little light shown through the window (the blinds being only half open) reflected off of his eyes, seemingly a little too glossy. I sat down next to him, my legs hanging over the edge as well, and looked over him. He was staring at the ceiling, his hair ruffled as if he ran his fingers through it right before it had dried. His collar bone shone more prominently now that he was stretched out on top of the bed. His rib cage poked out while his stomach sank in, gravity obviously taking its course on the boy's body. As my eyes traveled down I lightly placed my fingers on his hip bone. Almost simultaneously, a groan escape the younger boys lips.

"Where?" I asked him, serious but sincere. If he was hurt, I was hurt too.

"Where did it h-happen, or where does i-it hurt?" he asked after he closed his eyes.

"Both." 

"Last weekend." he took a breath before speaking again, "and my whole waist."

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" I asked him, a slight twinge of worry showing.

"Because... I would be a burden..." he trailed off. My heart twisted at hearing that. I let out a breath and brushed my fingers over his waist. He twitched as my fingertip grazed over the skin under his belly button. Yet, I could've sworn his lips curled up in a smile. He was ticklish?

"You will never be a burden." I started to rub his waistline with my thumb, seeing if I could ease away some of the pain. I applied more pressure, making circles with my thumb. He grimaced as I deepened it once more; I was trying to reach the muscle behind his skin, wanting it to relax so that Tao would feel no more pain.

"A-ah-h" he scrunched up his body, bringing his hand to his face and covered his eyes. I immediately retracted my hand.

"I'm sorry" I said hastily. Had I just made it worse? However, only a second after I had lifted my hand, Tao tightly took a hold of my wrist.

"No... Don't stop."
