Milk
The Girl Who Never CryChapter 14: Milk (EDITED)
I managed to sneak out of the class right before the teacher came in. I have no idea why I did that but I know for sure, nothing good will come if I stay anyway. With this heavy feeling on my chest, there’s no way I could focus in class. Sigh, I don’t even know where I should go. Before I knew it, I ended up in front of the vending machine.
“Maybe I should get something to cool down” I bleakly muttered as my eyes roamed at the displayed drinks and suddenly something caught my attention.
“Milk?” I paused and my mind flashback at the scene earlier. That weirdo, he bought some milk too back then. If only he gave me some back then. I quickly shook him out of my mind. Thankfully the spiciness is almost gone. I guess a bottle of milk will completely soothe it. It’s good for m—“
“Move it!”
I was just about to insert my coins inside when someone suddenly push me aside. Who the he—“ I was just about to ask but I close my mouth again when I saw who it is. Bobby.
“If you are not buying anything, you shouldn’t stand in the way. You have been staring at this machine for decades!”
“I did not!” I quickly denied. What is he doing here? I thought the class have already started.
“Yeah, you sure not.” Bobby sarcastically replied as he continue to insert more coins.
“I was here first.”
“Well, too bad for you. I already inserted my coins inside. I’m not going to be long, silly.”
I always knew Bobby is somewhat rude and I kinda accept that fact already and yet, he still get on my nerves every single time he reply with that cocky tone. Besides, I already frustrated a lot to begin with.
“I said I was here first.”
“And I said I won’t be long. What are you so mad at?”
“You shouldn’t have cut the line!”
I intentionally raised my voice and that makes Bobby turned his head to me. Taking a sip of his drink, he gave me a weird look as he examined my face.
“What?” I asked in irritated voice.
“Why do you look like you’re about to cry?”
“Wha—? I AM NOT!” I spat out. “You are trying to change the topic. I was here first!”
“Woah, don’t tell me you are seriously going to cry over something like this?”
“You are being stupid, you know?” I gripped my hand tightly. I didn’t even feel like crying. Did I?
“Rumours said you didn’t even cry when your dog died! And yet you’ll cry over stuff like this?”
“I told you I am not crying!” Why he is not listening to me?
“Wow! This is going to be a big news. The cold hearted girl is crying because someone cut her line!”
“I’—, I am not crying!”
“Let me see you face once again. Is that a tear??”
“No, stop that!” I instantly jerk away from him. This guy, really! He is purposely making fun of me.
“Wait till I tell Chanwo—“
“I said I am not crying—”
Lisa, did you cry?
Did you cry Lisa?
Let me see your face. Are you crying?
Wait, what? No. Stop it. I am not crying. Why am I getting all this flashback now?
“And then I’ll tell Jun—“
“Teacher, Lisa is crying again! She’s so noisy!”
“Do you think crying all day would bring you dad and brother back to life?!”
“That girl has been crying for hours, someone please shut her off!”
“No, I swear I didn’t cry..”
Lisa are you crying?
Lisa are you crying?
Lisa are you crying?
No, I am not crying. Why is my head spinning? Wait, where’s Bobby? Huh?
“The culprit hear the sister cries, exposing their hideout.”
“If only she stay silent, maybe her brother wouldn’t have been killed.”
“No..!” I winched as a wave of pain hit my chest out of the blue. In a blink of an eye, I was taken back to my dad’s funer
