Sooyeon’s POV

It was already Song Qian’s birthday that’s why with Soojung’s suggestion we decided to surprise her by preparing a small party inside the facility. Director Kwon approved Atty. Liu’s or Dad’s request and we brought a lot of food for all the inmates.

Yes, I also call him Dad now since Yuri and I are already engaged. He said Soojung has been calling her Dad from the start so I should too. It was a special moment for me because its been years since I used the word ‘Dad’, and ‘Appa’.

Song Qian was really happy when she saw the small gathering we did with the help of Yuri and Soojung. Bao Lian helped too by recording a short message from their Grandfather in Singapore showing it to Qian in private.

The biggest surprise were having her parents to celebrate with her. This is the first time they celebrated her birthday again after she was imprisoned here. She was so happy and crying, especially her Father Mister Song whom I learned was very fond of his daughter. Mrs. Song was crying too and gave thanks to his brother Mister Zhang and to Dad for doing everything to make Qian be free.  

Yuri and I were seating near the buffet table when I noticed my sister and Amber in a corner far away from the crowd. Soojung was sitting in Amber’s lap, her arms around the latter’s neck while Amber is hugging her waist supporting her.

Looks like they are in a deep conversation while looking at each other. The way Amber looks at my sister is so melting, her eyes are roaming around Soojung’s face while watching my sister talk and wave her hand in whatever she’s saying.

She was wearing her favorite gray hoodie and barefaced since she’s not a make up person. She can’t even apply a make up when she goes out of the house! Only some powder and lipstick is enough but its okay, Soojung is a natural beauty she doesn’t need make up.

Soojung was so engrossed in whatever she was telling Amber that the latter listens to her attentively while caressing her cheeks or simply fixing some stray hair in her face. Just staring at her and nodding, sometimes I see her lips move answering Soojung but most of the time just staring at her with awe and adoration.

Looks like Amber Liu is really head over heels in love on my sister.

Well Soojung too is head over heels on this Llama, always making sure she visits her ‘wife’ every week without fail.  

Oh! My bad.

I mean Amber Liu Zhang. I forgot she’s a Zhang now…

“Yah… what are you looking at ?” Yuri whispered at me when she maybe noticed I’m not listening on her chattering. I elbowed her chest lightly and pointed my puckered lips on the sweet couple at the corner.

“Look at those two… they’ve been like that after the lunch ended. They are in their own world…”

“Yup, they always are in their own world. Whenever Soojung will accompany me on official visits here, she and Amber will always be like that even if I’m in front of them. Those two really…. they can’t get enough of each other.” Ohhh… so that’s why Soojung always ask me when will Yuri visit Amber huh…

The two lovers are now smiling at each other then Soojung whispered something in Amber’s ears that made Amber blushed like an excited Llama.

Wait… does even Llamas blush?! shucks just Amber since she’s a hybrid.

Soojung was laughing at Amber’s face covering and arching her neck… I never thought I’ll see my sister this happy again.

Everyday I’m thankful that Soojung recovered from her ordeal. Remembering how broken and lifeless she was back then… she doesn’t even eat and keeps to herself inside the pre-trial facility where she was detained when the case was being tried.

When I received the news before in the middle of the night telling me that my sister had a failed suicide attempt… my heart was breaking seeing her look so done with her life. The light in her eyes were gone… her skin color pale and her lips too. That made me question the One up above: why her and not me?

She’s too precious and special to experience an ordeal like that. My loving and caring sister who is full of aegyo and always thinking about me and how to make our life better.

When she was sentenced and placed inside that cell, it somehow changed her. Meeting Qian, Sunyoung, and Jinri did good for her. I have this deep gratitude to Song Qian for helping my sister recover. The Heavens made a move bringing them together in that cell.

And I also have a very deep gratitude for Amber… for giving Soojung hope and will to continue her life and be a better person. Seeing them together whenever we visit this facility, I can feel the deep bond between the two of them. I can see the feelings with just exchanging eye contact and smiles.

Soojung has this special smile that she only gives to Amber like what is happening now before our very eyes. She flash her smile on me but its different, its sisterly and sometimes aegyo smile when she wants something.

But here right now, the way her eyes shine with love and everything nice, her lips curving into a beautiful and unexplainable smile makes me wonder how can Amber not resist that smile. Like even if Soojung tells her that she’s stupid, she will take it gladly and even shout it to the whole world that my sister called her Stupid.

“Aigooo…. Soojungie can’t get enough of my stupid sister. Any minute now she will kiss that Llama believe me..” Yuri snorted beside me. When I turned my head to her she was scooping some Tiramisu on a cup. Eating again Kwon Yuri!?

“Yah, yah! Why are you eating again?! That’s your 3rd cup!”

She grinned at me and like a kid popped the spoonful of dessert into giving me a cute eyesmile. .

“DO. NOT.GIVE.ME.THAT..KWON.YURI.”

“You know this is my favorite Sooyeon-ah!”

“But Yuri-ah.. you’re overeating--”

“Bwoah! Look at that Sooyeon-ah! I told yah!” she suddenly pointed excitedly at the couple we were watching a while ago. What Yuri said was true…

Soojung is kissing Amber right now and what makes me burst into giggles is because Amber was putting Soojung’s hood on my sister’s head while they were kissing covering her girlfriend’s face from anyone who will see what they are doing.

“Oh boy… someone’s missing someone terribly.”

“Why do I feel that everyone is already used to see them like this?!”

“Soojung for the WIN! Whoot! Whoot!” YURI!

“Yah that’s my sister!”

“Sooyeon-ah that’s my sister too kissing with her. Although I’m cringing right now seeing Amber kissing Soojung, I find it utterly sweet and romantic too. You can feel the unmeasured energy surrounding them two.”        

Yuri’s right… even though I find it awkward seeing my sister eat that Llama’s face..

“WHAT THE?! DID I JUST SEE MY LITTLE SOOJUNG’S TONGUE SWIPING ON THAT STUPID SISTER OF YOURS!?”

“YAH! THAT’S MY SISTER! AND YES… YOUR LITTLE SOOJUNG IS NOW Y SOOJUNG TSK TSK TSK…”

Looking around the mess hall, seems everyone are busy chatting or eating. They don’t really mind the two! Maybe Yuri and I are just nosy…

“Are we the only ones who are watching them?! Seems like everyone is busy…” I told Yuri while looking around. She snickered and continued on eating her dessert that I tried to grab.

“You were the one watching, you only pulled me on doing it too. Let them be… Soojung is already at age Sooyeon-ah. And they miss each other so badly… I feel for them… I miss my sister so much too so for Soojung I think the level of missing Amber is 4 times than mine.”

She’s right, Yuri misses Amber so much too and she always tells that to me when she feels sad and something reminds her of Amber. A memory of their childhood, a food they love to eat, a movie they have seen together. Yuri and Amber are like me and Soojung, our sisterly bond so deep and tight that no one can break us apart.

In Soojung’s case, I bet it is really 4 times harder since the two of them are sharing something special. Mister Zhang already acknowledge Soojung as his Daughter in-law even making my sister a stockholder in the Oh Industries.

I still can’t believe how powerful their company is, even their surname. Its like a legend in the business world especially in China. Even the Liu’s are a powerful family said by Dad but he chose to leave it when he married his ex-wife aka Yuri’s mother.

The Oh Industries is now under the Zhang Conglomerate and they changed the name to ‘Gyeomson Pharmaceuticals’ even changing the logo which was made by her friend Ssul. The word ‘Gyeomson’ was suggested by Sunyoung her friend. Speaking of Sunyoung…

Is that her and Song Bao Lian talking animatedly near the big window?!

I can hear Sunyoung’s voice talking about dogs even making actions while talking. She was all smiles making a motion to jump and Bao Lian was laughing at her even mimicking her.. or maybe showing how to jump too?

“Yuri-ah… look at Bao Lian and Sunyoung…”
