Shinyoung took a step back and kept her eyes on the golden-eyed wolf. Her heart was racing again and by this time, she wished Junhui didn't leave her. Shinyoung then looked up front and noticed the castle was still steps away, further from where she was. She looked back to her right and saw the beast coming closer to her, out of the dark.

She could see its fur, the colour was grey, its eyes were gold and shining. She was a lot more scared this time, she met a wolf once in this very woods, but with the same pair of eyes. It didn't try to kill nor eat her, she almost touched the wolf instead so why was she afraid of it now?

After several steps of backing away, finally Shinyoung could see the wolf's full figure. Its fur was grey in colour, with a hint of black. It was huge, almost as big as her horse. Shinyoung stood there still, she was thinking of ways to escape if this wolf in front of her ever tried to attack her. It might be the same wolf from a year ago, but then it might not.

However, one question lingered in her head. Why does this one has a different eye colour?

Did it actually mean anything? She didn't know, but it couldn't be just that without an explanation. There must be a reason why the wolves she met and this one had different eye colours. The Princess looked towards her left and right, even if she was to run into the woods she can barely see. It was too dark for her to run in this dress.

Somehow, Shinyoung convinced herself that it was the same wolf she met a year ago. She kept telling herself that this person in front of her won't harm her, maybe it wanted something from her instead. Then what she saw next terrified her, the wolf opened its mouth and growled at her lowly. Its teeth were baring, showing those sharp and shinning fangs.

It looked vicious, far more different than the one she met although the two looked identical to her. The growled got louder as it stepped closer to her, Shinyoung was afraid by now. She knew she had to run before this wolf could launch towards her. Then it all happened so fast, Shinyoung couldn't even believe her eyes.

She saw how the wolf was about to jump and launch towards her, but it dropped on the snow when a man came from the woods and launched on the wolf. Shinyoung met eyes with the man, his eyes were blue and she realised it was Junghan. He quickly got onto his feet and pulled her with him as they ran away from the wolf in the opposite direction.

The Princess stared at the long-haired male's back as they both ran in darkness, she tried to sneak a look behind her back and luckily she saw nothing.
