RunI met a wolf once, it happened a year back. As I was in my room, I had a feeling that I should take a leave from the castle and enter the dark wilderness everyone. The incident that took place was interesting, but I was told to never talk about it. To never favour it. I left the castle at dusk, I ran out of the compound as I finally met with the forest.
It stood dark, eerie, all those description my parents told me about the woods fits perfectly. I hesitated at first, but I was already so close, why bail now? I took my breath and entered the ever so dangerous woods, it gave me a menacing feeling as I walked in there. However, I was lucky as the sun was still there despite at the verge of setting.
All I could see was trees, enormous trees. It was quiet, as if I was the only living thing there. Despite that, I could hear voices telling me to make a leave immediately. I shook the feeling as I didn't want to leave without witnessing anything, any presence.
By the time the day was getting darker, I felt tired after a while walking. I wasn't even sure which part I was situated, I can barely remember the way out. So, I sat down and leaned against the tree trunk. I looked around, for any sign of something but to my disappointment, there was nothing. I thought, maybe all those stories were lies, just to keep us children, safe. Then, I heard it.
It was the sound of growling, snarling like a dog's. However, I knew perfectly that it didn't belong to a dog, no dog could snarl that loudly unless it was next to you. I turned my head to my right, slowly as I was scared I might lock eyes with a wild beast. Fortunately, I saw nothing but a further dark route in the woods, but I heard the sound again.
This time, I was sure from where the sound came from. I shut my eyes closed, as my body became stiff. I could sense the danger coming upon me. I opened my eyes and look back to my front and that was when I saw it.
As a reflex, I immediately tried to stand on my feet but I tripped on my dress recklessly, causing myself to fall back on the ground. I felt a sense of pain sending through my spine, it came from my ankle. And I knew, I can't run now. I could see those pair of eyes staring at mine. It was glowing, I couldn't translate what was behind them as I was afraid.
Then, it stepped closer and my heart started to beat faster. It was the end for me, I'll disappear from the kingdom if this beast comes closer to me and it did. My heart dropped, thinking of my fate in the wolf's hands. It kept on walking until it was a feet away from me, I didn't know why but I outstre
